There was a book of physics humor I read many years ago. A professor demonstrated firing a pellet gun into a ceramic jar filled with water. He fired it and the jar shattered. A witness had a grain silo he wanted taken down, so he filled it with ~5ft of water and suspended a high power rifle straight above it with a long string to the trigger. Took cover, pulled the string and the five bottom feet of the brick blew out, leaving the height of the silo to fall straight down and rest right where it was, intact.
