It becomes more amazing by the day how on the mark Strauss and Howe were in their predictions 30 years ago, and how little their book is known outside of our circles. Nobody can say they weren’t warned. Also, I take comfort in the fact that extreme chaos, upheaval, insanity, violence and death are to be expected and cannot be avoided. All we have to do is make choices every day, some small and some big, and together those choices define us and our lives. It is as simple as that. When I look back on the last 18 months and even on the last 40 years, I have made choices that I still stand by. They were, without doubt, the right ones (for me). God willing, I will be able to say the same on my day of death.
