It’s truly a comfort to know that the current regime is blessed with such exceptional medical credentials.
Let me tell you about my strange day. In a US city of around 200k population I visited a loved one hospitalized for a mysterious bleeding from the intestinal tract. This person is not vaxxed. Since the arrival in the emergency room a few days before, I asked them if any of the medical staff inquired about their Covid vaccination status. They said no one had asked them yet.
There was concern about them getting a hospital room … not because the hospital was over capacity but because there weren’t enough nurses.
It is a liberal college town, and one with which I wasn’t overly familiar, but I still decided to visit the campus and speak to someone I knew.
It was a beautiful fall morning, the sun was shining, and, except for the slightly lower temperatures, it was still, practically, summer there. However, I noticed a lot of sick people on the campus. There were people coughing and several people sneezing. A guy with whom I rode up in the elevator was sniffling.
Later, we had some time to kill so we decided to go to a restaurant and have some lunch. The parking lot wasn’t very full but I just figured it was because it was after high noon. When I walked up to the door, there was a sign that said the dining room was closed due to staffing problems. So I went to two other places, and it was the same: the dining areas were closed for lack of staffing. On one of the establishment’s door there was another sign that addressed the “nationwide supply-chain problem” and that “all of our favorite items may not be available”.
So what is going on?
I figure it may be the result of one or more of the following reasons:
1.) During the lockdown, lower wage employees became accustomed to exorbitant unemployment benefits and no longer wish to work lower wage jobs.
Questions on # 1: But haven’t the exorbitant unemployment benefits ended? So why haven’t people returned to work?
2.) Perhaps the lower wage employees working at family businesses and small chains migrated to the security of the large “essential” corporate behemoths, like Walmart, Target, Amazon, et al
3.) It could be that people are actually terrified of Covid and no longer want to undertake the risks of employment (because advertising works)
4.) Maybe the CDC rent moratorium and food bank offerings have made employment, for the most part, unnecessary
5.) Perhaps many more employees than is being reported (across the entire payscale spectrum) are protesting the vaccine mandates with their feet and middle fingers
6.) Perhaps many more employees than is being reported (across the entire payscale spectrum) are sick and dying from the vaccines
Regarding # 6, the hospitals, for the most part, in most places, aren’t full. But I do know several vaccinated people who have missed work due to sickness; and some of them were “diagnosed” as breakthrough “Covid” cases.
The calm before the storm? The breakdown before the chaos?
What might I be missing?
#4 and #6 seem to be the most likely reasons.
Also … HABITS! It’s been said it takes 21 days to form new habits. We’re almost two years into this shit show. People have trained themselves to become Lazy Shits.
A long time ago Oct 28th was just peachy keen, like any other day before, or in the future. But, Oct 29 smashed that belief to smithereens. I’m going with calm before the storm.
I tell ya, Stuck, I wonder if it’s not possible that all six (and possibly other) explanations are applicable (in varying percentages) across the entire (un)employment spectrum; and, perhaps, # 4 carries the largest percentage of those gone AWOL.
It’s hard to say with definite certainty in the midst of current events.
But this has me perplexed as well:
Now, what does that imply, especially, if this is the norm across the country?
What if this person is a victim of Covid vaccine “shedding”? What if others present to emergency rooms with “mysterious” symptoms as a result of vaccine reactions? It could mean that no data is being compiled – and perhaps on purpose pursuant to WHO and CDC instructions.
It’s also possible the hospital already knows this person was not vaxxed. Therefore, in this circumstance, wouldn’t that imply data collection, and storing into a database, the vaccination status of folks?
Of course, nothing would surprise me. And, as I stated before: I was just telling y’all about my strange day.

Exactly. But this person was Covid tested before they were transferred from the emergency room to the hospital. The test was negative, but if the geniuses who mandated that procedure believed the vaccinations make Covid a non-issue, then wouldn’t they, in turn, demand to know whether or not patients are vaccinated?
And it is odd they didn’t try to “sell” the vaccine.
Unless they know the vaccinations make no difference when it comes to acquiring and transmitting Covid.
And that raises another question: Why the all-important need to test only for Covid with it’s .o26% mortality rate? I mean, this person had bleeding issues in their digestive tract. So why not test for Ebola as well? Nope. Just Covid. Maybe because they haven’t yet developed an effective test for lightning strikes or incoming meteorites.
Today at the grocery store line, roughly 65 year old Hispanic woman ahead of me says to 20 year old male cashier: “Thanks for working. Nobody seems to want to work any more!” I nod to her. She says: “They created a monster. This is not going to end well.” I see her in the parking lot and say, rhetorically: “Where IS this going to end?” She says: “It will all collapse, the economy, the US, everything.” I am just tryingto buy enough cans and food as I can.” Me: “yes, it will collapse. All we have to do is live life. And hopefully we will survive. I sure won’t wear a damn mask in there (note that she and I were the only ones without one).” She: “And I will never ever get that shot.” Me: “Me neither. Not over my dead body.” And then we drove off.

When I said I wasn’t vaccinated at a VA dental cleaning, the hygienist insisted I fill out a contact tracing card, if I didn’t want to get vaccinated. It was like a hard sell/confidence thing like I was actually going to do that. I wonder if that was a work around. The VA computer systems are notorious.
They don’t ever push vaccines if you give them a ‘no’, until this one. Most are careful not to push it, they just repeat the question a few times and look at you like you’re stupid. I haven’t seen any of the doctors that know it is bullshit since what now feels like the beginning.

You are ascribing the normal work habits of Western civilized people with the third world which has just arrived and has no such ethic. And you also have no idea of the vast welfare state they inhabit.
I would say that all of those are likely. I can’t see it being an either/or scenario. That would make things too obvious.

Listening to Wally, it’s apparent the narrative is as follows: Inflation is being caused by supply chain problems which was caused by Covid. But this is why it’s soooo important that people get free money from the government to pay for the inflated prices of goods… AND .. all of these problems will disappear if only everyone would just get vaccinated so the economy can be fully reopened.

I left a great and much loved waiter job tonight in Calgary, Canada.
Damn fine owner and chef with a small tight family feel crew of 5 people. I left a year ago because of the forced mask mandate. I was asked back when the mandate was revoked and I did. I really like these guys and it is a great place to work. But the vax paper inspection at the door and new mask rules were slapped on us. I refused to comply with checking papers and wearing a mask. Nobody cared that I was wearing my mask on my chin or not at all. Except one. She, a young SJW, chose not to say anything to me (her waiter) but to tell the other waiter as she left and then write an email to the owner. I said I wasn’t going to wear a mask and that was it. I even offered to deposit a gold CDN Maple Leaf as deposit to cover any fine. I’m not vaxxed either nor is half of the crew who work there. We can work there but not eat there. It’s a farce. I am disappointed that it is so easy to bully the owners of small businesses. However, when I left, I made it clear that I did not believe that things would get better with everyone saying yes or nothing. Things get worse with every concession and compromise we make. Small business has to stand up and fight or be slowly bled to death. Stand up, do not comply. Stand together. We are many.
