It’s not even fully visible yet, but we can see where it’s going and how it will probably look.
So the question for YOU is: Are you really going to ignore the fact that it was prophesied 2000 years ago, and that, according to the Bible, that particular prophecy would become relevant some 2000 years after it was written?
How can you just gloss that over and pay no heed to the fact of the Bible’s prophetic legitimacy?
The way I see it, you have two options, but only one if you’re an honest man:
1. The author of the Book of Revelation made a really good guess about what life in this world would be like, 2000 years after he wrote…
…or…
2. The Bible is precisely what it purports itself to be, which is the Word of God.
By now there should be no question in your mind which of the two is the truth. But that would mean you have to respond accordingly, which is where most men encounter the greatest amount of trouble.
All honest men know what time it is, and what all of this means.
Zoroaster prophesied it at least a millennium before Jesus Christ. The mark was contained within one’s heart. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all share Zoroaster’s eschatology and the division of humanity into binaries (good / light or evil / dark).
Scofield Bible is a fraud re-written at the undertaking of City of London elites to minimize the culpability of the tribe in the death of Jesus Christ. It too is drawn from a fraud of editing that The Vatican has decided to reveal to the faithful.
I have read the Bible twice – even read the Apocryphal books once – and the main impression I came away with regarding the Old Testament was that Lucifer didn’t physically harm a single person, but ol’ Yahweh smote and burned thousands. All Lucifer did was disobey a single order from Yahweh. I think Milton saw this too when he wrote Paradise Lost.
Maybe The Bible was written to make us pliant and obedient? Just saying.
Perhaps you should research the many prophecies contained within the Word of God … that came to pass. It truly is a supernatural text. But you need to do it yourself in order to believe.
The bible is God’s love letter to man so man could know Him and His commandments. It’s your choice: to believe in His Son Jesus and life eternal in heaven or to reject or neglect Jesus unto eternal damnation. The ball is in your court!

This is something folks come away with from reading websites which are hostile to the Bible. No one comes away with such an understanding from reading the Bible itself. Somehow I overlooked this, your comment, the first time around. But it’s something I’ve encountered verbatim dozens of times over the years as coming from those who mistake the Scriptures for the work of man.
Satan is responsible for every single death which has ever befallen mankind, or will befall mankind. And a stated mission of God Himself is to save mankind from death.
Maybe another reading of the Book is in order? One which is not colored from the outset by presuppositional hostility to the Word of God?

I read the Oxford Critical Study edition – twice – a Scofield product last updated in the 1950s if memory serves me. Critical here doesn’t mean criticism, it means one studies the Bible intently. This version has maps, inserts detailing where archeology corroborates what the Bible says and when it contradicts it, there are sections on the earliest known Biblical writings and lots of other interesting subtopics (like the earliest known copy of Revelations comes from Armenia and states that the number of the beast is 616). All in all it was a pretty thorough and helpful book but in two readings there was no spark. I read it before I ever had an internet connection so I had no outside influence. It just left me flat but I thought it was a worthwhile effort (twice) as the Bible is such an important cultural document.

What you reference is not a “copy” of the Book of Revelation, but is a partial manuscript or a papyrus fragment. The earliest known example of Revelation is Papyrus 115 which follows the text-type of Codex Alexandrinus and does show the number of the Beast as 616. There are four uncial codex lines which can be traced, and Alexandrinus is one of them. The other three are Ephraemi Rescriptus, Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. Existing fragments or manuscripts are referred to one or another of these four textual lineages.
That’s why even very old evidence of a particular textual variant — in this case the number 616 — is not conclusive evidence of original authenticity.
You tend to point to Schofield publications when you impugn the legitimacy of Scripture, which is an odd thing to do. And you admit to seeking for something specific when you read (in two readings there was no spark) which also will throw off a viable trajectory when walking through the Bible from one end to the other.
If you’ve actually read it twice, you do better by far than most self-described Christians alive today. But you harbor a hostility to the Scriptures because you think you have them figured out. You probably thought this even before you began reading Genesis chapter One for the first time.
We let God do the teaching, the instructing and the proving when we study His Word — and we let Him do so on His own terms. Otherwise we’ll come away with error or some other stillborn brainchild of vanity.
I would recommend divorcing yourself from anything that bears the name Schofield. In his case, your hostility is neither inappropriate nor misplaced.

I’ve often wondered about this. How is it that a group of people declare themselves the Chosen?
It’s a template for fraud that hasn’t stopped ever since the Pharaohs convinced the Egyptians they were gods.
They didn’t choose themselves, God did if you would read the bible. Granted, only for short periods of time did the Israelites every now and then be in subjection to God. They have spent most of the 4000 or so years since their selection as God’s people frustrating Him by their utter disobedience. Currently they are behind many of the atrocities being foisted upon us with some help of their demonic gentile friends. One day however, Israel will repent and reclaim their position as the head and not the tail as God designed. That will happen at the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, when he comes to sit for 1000 years on the throne of David.

Critical to note that this is Gods doing. It is not man that will “repent” and keep the commandments (he cannot), but God will resurrect and enable these Jewish believers (the generation that shall not pass) to keep the law and create a perfect society in Jerusalem like that of which was occurring in the early Acts period. Things gonna get really ugly first…
The Israel of today is the synagogue of satan and of their father the devil as Christ said in John 8:44. They eagerly await the coming of the false messiah and, with the popes (the false prophet) assistance, will present him to the world as god.

Since the truth does not exist (that is a tongue in cheek statement), I find it hard to believe any bible was translated 100% accurately AND that motivated groups/individuals did not attempt to put things in the bible that would elevate them and their power. I don’t assume everything I read is 100% accurate. Sad, I know.
Read psalm 12: 6&7. God will preserve his word to EVERY GENERATION. The perfect inspired word of God. If we didn’t have that everyone on the earth would die and be sent to Hell. I thank God for his precious word.

Red- Years ago, I wanted to talk about the MOB here on TBP. I wanted to have a QOTD to ask would you accept the mark in your hand no matter the tribulations we would endure. Stucky said that people would not answer truthfully so not a good idea. I wanted to know how bad the slide would be toward the devil’s mark and I still would like to know how many will stand against this evil.
This is going to be real “gnashing of teeth” times and plenty of moaning and wailing from humanity unless the Lord steps in to save us. But what have we done to deserve his mercy?

If we’re watching we can see how many will stand up to this program, no matter the cost. And the number will be precious few.
The real pressure has not even begun yet. First it’s jobs. Then it will be medical insurance (you remember, that magic fraudulence everyone in the country is legally-bound to purchase??), then it will be things like electricity/utilities to those of us still on-grid, which is the overwhelming majority. Next, maybe Social Security checks.
You get the idea, I am certain.
Who will be able to withstand that kind of pressure, except those who have the most FIRM Foundation?

We do not deserve His mercy. And we should remember that if it comes, it won’t be exactly what we want at the time.
The only way we can be sure about refusing the mark when our time comes, is we have to know what the consequences are if we fail to stand tall, and we have to be ready to die if we do the right thing.

Because I study the Word of God in the original languages, and I know nothing of any rapture to save God’s people from the hell that now threatens to break out across the land.
Faith in God is what is needed to survive what is coming — the ‘mark’ program most certainly included. And students of Scripture had better shake themselves free from any reliance on man’s traditions or interpretations. Because this is not going to be easy for any of us.

1 THES 4:13-18 says you are wrong. The bible clearly teaches that God will not suffer his children to WRATH. It teaches us that he (Jesus) will meet us in the AIR. His second coming he will touch down and split the mount of olives. Two very separate occurences.
God’s wrath and the tribulations we will have to suffer are not the same thing.
The first is vengeance. The second is judgment.
JUDGMENT begins in the House of the Lord.
I don’t deny the ‘catching away’ Paul speaks of, which occurs simultaneously with the Lord’s return. But what tradition has done with the utterly unbiblical notion of a ‘rapture’ to save God’s people from the judgment we now see coming, is something else entirely. And I will have nothing whatsoever to do with it. It is a dangerous and invalid doctrine.

Furthermore, in the English versions of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, rapiemur has been translated from Latin into English as either “we shall be snatched,” or “we shall be grabbed,” or “we shall be carried off,” and so forth. Similarly, harpagesometha has been translated from Greek into English as “we shall be caught up” or “we shall be taken away,” and etc. Moreover, as already mentioned, with every Latin and English translation of harpagesometha the meaning of this Greek verb always connotes a catching or taking that will be a violent, sudden event!
The point to this brief grammar lesson is that, as far as the meaning and tense of the Latin word rapiemur are concerned, this word is in agreement with the Greek word harpagesometha, since rapiemur and harpagesometha are the same tense and they both mean the same thing—a sudden and physical withdrawal; a seizing; a snatching, and so forth. So then, there can be no denying that English words like rapt, raptly, raptness, rapture, raptured, rapturous, rapturously, rapturousness, raptor, and so on, undisputedly are derived from rapio’s verb forms such as rapere, rapui, raptus, rapiemur, rapturo, and etc. Moreover, since rapio’s verb forms are accurate translations of the Greek harpazo’s verb forms, then it doesn’t matter if someone uses the AKJV’s “caught away” or “caught up” or if he/she uses the word “raptured,” or “snatched away,” or “taken up,” or “plucked,” or “taken by force,” and so forth, because they all mean the same thing—a very sudden nonconsensual seizure.”

I know about the words and their origins, Ordo.
This does not address the tradition of man which has crept into sound biblical teaching over the decades. And Greek to Latin to English is not a viable route for instruction, as it needlessly inserts an entire level of man’s work into the study, which is a recipe for much confusion.
There is no need to utilize Latin at all for the purposes of Bible study. And there is no legitimate way to reconcile the traditions of man with what the Word of God teaches plainly, relative to this doctrine. The Scriptures are perfectly clear about their meaning.
The Greek ἁρπαγησόμεθα from 1 Thessalonians 4:17 need only be compared with the other 13 times the verb ἁρπάζω appears (no matter the tense, voice or mood) in the Greek New Testament Scriptures, in order to glean a fuller understanding of the semantic domain of this term.
Bible study is cumbersome enough without adding superfluous layers of linguistic work. And when we’re involved in the study, we do well to limit our terms to those used in the original languages, or to the translated language we’re reading from.
This matter is greatly simplified merely by cutting away tradition and extraneous languages.

I was a flight attendant for two years to save money for college and to decide if I even wanted to go or not. And, to be able to travel with the free flight benefits. It was a fun time in my life and a good experience. So glad not to be in that job now…I would surely be in jail! I won’t even get on an airplane today.

Early on in the pandemic why wasn’t antibody testing performed on a regional basis to determine how widespread and possibly how early the virus infected the population. Since when do we demonize possible therapeutics and medications and “The Vax” is the only possible solution. Since when do healthcare workers get to choose what disease they get to treat and demonize the un-vaccinated. Are we going into a “pick and choose” medical system. Someone decides they won’t treat alcoholics, smokers, obese (Oh wait Obese is okay…) I worked in public health when AIDS was coming into the population, prior to that many health workers didn’t wear latex gloves except for invasive procedures. Long forgotten, that AIDS/body fluids changed procedures for health workers. Difference then , We dealt with it. Now some health workers declare who they will treat and not treat..

On May 23rd or 24th of 2020 (before a vaciine was available), Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York State said that ~19% of NY’s 20million population had already been infected. That’s about 4 million people. The peak of deaths in New York was a month later, topping out at nearly a thousand people a day. By that summer, the death rate in NY was down to less than ten people per day.
We need to turn this around and refuse to associate with the “vaccinated” over fear of what THEY might be spreading.
