Foreign tour and inspection, not USMC dress uniforms. They’re not pot bellies, either. Their physical stance at the position of attention is exaggerated and makes them look that way.
Like I told a puffed up young USMC sergeant once, the uniform is nice but not everyone wants to be a Marine. I was former Cold War Army and the comment pissed him off. It’s not the cloth or metal trinkets attached, it’s the man inside the clothes.
