Major trucking fleets across the eastern half of the US are preparing for an “imminent” diesel shortage, according to logistics firm FreightWaves.
Founder and CEO of FreightWaves Craig Fuller said “3 very large fleets” are preparing for diesel pumps at fuel stations to run dry. Drivers of these fleets received notifications about fuel shortages that could materialize in the coming weeks across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
Fuller tweeted several messages that drivers received from fleet operators. The notifications were alarming.

We’ve confirmed with a number of fleets they are hearing consistent messages from the stops
— Craig Fuller 🛩🚛🇺🇦 (@FreightAlley) May 11, 2022
Georgia, Carolinas, Maryland, and Pennsylvania – were the specific areas that could be impacted. We heard that as many of 25% of their retail locations could see shortages in the East
— Craig Fuller 🛩🚛🇺🇦 (@FreightAlley) May 11, 2022
He also tweeted what appears to be an unnamed industry insider explaining the historic mess hitting Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets is a combination of crude being diverted from the US to Europe and supply chains issues along the East Coast.
Diesel supply is short worldwide due to the invasion of Ukraine disrupting energy markets and resulting Western sanctions. The writing has been on the wall for months about developing shortages, as we discussed in:
- Global Diesel Shortage Raises Risk Of Even Greater Oil Price Spike
- “Gas Stations Will Run Dry”: Catastrophic Scenario For Diesel Emerging According To World’s Biggest Energy Traders
- D-Day Approaches: Crack Spread Soars As Diesel Market Braces For Historic Shock
- US East Coast Diesel Stockpiles Hit Record Low As Fuel Crisis Nears
- Widespread US Diesel Shortages Send Crack Spreads To Mindblowing Highs
On Wednesday, DOE showed US diesel inventories are now 23% below the five-year average for this time of year, at their lowest since May 2005.
The situation isn’t improving as diesel prices at the pump soar to new highs.
Retail gas prices are also legging higher.
And who does President Biden blame this time for possible fuel shortages? Can’t keep blaming Putin for every problem.

Just got two new five gallon Safe-T-Cans for diesel today. Have a RAM2500 Cummings with 35 gallon tank and four five gallon Safe-T-Cans for diesel. Another five Safe-T-Cans for gasoline in a flammable storage locker. Prep as much as you can folks. Writing is on the wall, the shit is about to hit the fan for real!!! Chip
Like this…?
no. this time everyone everywhere will have guns. lots of guns.
Like in “Duck Soup.” “Cause we got guns, we got guns. All God’s chillen got guns.”
We may be able to store enough fuel to make it out of some
burning up place.
Put an ounce of Sea Foam or a similar stabilizer/preservative in it. It will clean your injectors or carb as a bonus.
I can hear Putin and Xi laughing

Uncle Warren recently bought a small oil producer and pipeline and a refinery to make diesel for his Pilot Flying J investment. The usual suspects said he was stupid for buying it only a few months ago. His power company supplies the areas where two of my kids live in Iowa and they pay half what we do in Illinois for electric.
I will say am glad to be seeing Tesla this weekend, feel the boys need to get out of New England region before this hits full force and no fuel for tour buses and gear.
Might be my last “good time” for awhile!
It’s all about priorities!
That said, did use in vehicles older gas and refreshed them along with more food ect.
There are some sub $9 deals on M43, brass cased out there too. Won’t see that again any time soon. I’m shooting a ton of nine sillimeter lately if anybody knows of some super deals for that in 115-124gr.
HR,if your tools will eat it OK there was some pretyy good deals on the steel cased in 9 lately,sgammo/gundeal ect.
My M&P eats everything I’ve fed it. My wife’s EC9S doesn’t like Tula (steel).
Haven’t tried steel outside of M43 for AK or SKS. When I was a kid I had some steel case GI Ball .45 that I shot through my first 1911 back in the 70’s. Worked fine. I even reloaded the steel cases a time or two. Unlike brass they would usually crack after one or two times of being resized. I would have no problem firing steel through a revolver using moon clips with no extractors or sticky chamber issues to worry about.
https://www.sgammo.com/catalog/pistol-ammo-sale/9mm-luger-ammo
Don’t forget the ammo sponsor here. I don’t believe there are super deals now.
.30 a round for brass: https://gun.deals/product/belom-50rd-box-9x19mm-124-grain-1000rd-case-upc-8606110608178-weekend-only-29989 ,about the best you will see I believe.
Not bad for 124
I just paid .75 cents per for 124 JHP. I also paid .30 cents for 115 FMJ in bulk.
Fuck, hollow point has a high price point, got 4 cases of the hollow back in the good old days, plus, boatloads of fmj.I did a lot of this across the board beggining of the flu, told others to get in,some did/some did not.
you should not mention what you have, and delete this post.
Lucky Gunner.
It says something that some of us can only comment on ZeroHedge articles from the Burning Platform.
Fuck ZeroHedge!
I’m banned on F’ing Gateway Pundit. I don’t post there but one day last week I wanted to give an upvote to a comment and they told me I’m banned. Anybody else ever been banned there?
I’m ghosted at ZH since last December. No explanation. Nearly 50K upvotes and then, poof. Tried a new handle; no dice. Ghosted, too.
This and Unz are the only places I’ve never been banned, so I just quit wasting time making comments, excepting here of course.
Bingo! ZH was bought up by ABC media. Look at the bottom of their webpage. They’ll be making Jim and offer for TBP here in the near future… Chip
That’s not THE ABC – ZH was incorporated as ABC Media, Ltd. (Bulgaria). It’s an independent co., which ZH mgmt. was unwise to choose such a dopey, generic corporate name for. No, the Tylers just come up short in some areas. Fight Club is an infantile, homoerotic, cartoonish fantasy, heavy on CGI and light on the laws of physics.
Note to Tylers: I was Dear Old Hedge, then came back after (unexplained) banishment as Not Your Father’s ZH, again banished with no explanation; and now, I’m back as O-same-old Bin Lurkin’ – who you ghost and have never allowed to post. Guess you have enough fans and revenue: “The phone co. doesn’t need your dime, Sir.”
winter of death, Mad Max summer
such interesting times
entertaining.
Gas here is $4.49-$4.71 and diesel around $5.19. The closer you get to Shitcago you are closer to $5 gas, $6 diesel.
I bought a used disc harrow recently (for specific jobs, not tillage), and it was 120 miles away, but a fair bit cheaper and maybe a bit better quality than the nearby ones. By the time we got back, I realized I might not have saved much at all after the gas bill and it took 3 hours. Was a good use of a rainy day, though.
Listening to Alexander Mercouris’ podcast this morning he said something I wouldn’t have known about. He said that Europe is trying to replace Russian oil with oil from Qatar (and being rebuffed), but even if Qatar and its Gulf neighbors were willing & able to supply Europe with sufficient oil, the KIND of oil they have is light and not easily refined into diesel fuel. Even I know that diesel – not gasoline – is needed to power heavy duty equipment – be it trucks, tractors, etc. There are diesel submarines in the Black Sea. Pretty sure there’s no such thing as a gasoline sub. Apparently there are different kinds of oil – and the difference matters. I’ll bet Anthony Blinken and Victoria Nuland and Jake Sullivan don’t know that either. Reminds me of Michael Bloomberg on farming: ‘It’s easy. You put a seed in, you put dirt on top’.
“Pretty sure there’s no such thing as a gasoline sub”
there’s not. too volatile and hazardous in a closed environment.
I’m a Farmer-Rancher and I wish it was that easy to produce food. PS: Them NYC ZOG SOBs that hate fly over Deplorable Americans can eat dirt and die for all I care.
Kinda surprised we haven’t heard about any refinery fires like we have the food processors.
You just didn’t hear, that’s the reason we have the shortage now!!!
Hmmmm…..,fed thrift savings plan.
My mum died and left me as beneficiary, about 130 after taxes, filled paperwork out ect. but said could take 90 days to send(nice interest free float/mulitply by millions of folks and it adds up),my guess is will never see it,they seem to be working on a larger float.
A few years ago (2007 ) they did a alternate reality online game called “World Without Oil”. The premise was that there was an unexplained shortage of hydrocarbon fuel. Seemed kind of a stretch and they didn’t explain why there was the shortage or why the shortages went away. Mostly they were trying to figure out how people thought people would react. Sure that DARPA and others were involved. Funny to see fuel shortages cropping up now though like they did in the game.
This is a little late.
Try to imagine someone saying this 15 years ago when even back then they were admitting that they were pumping massive amounts of seawater into Ghawar to keep pressures up.
“The world needs to wake up to an existing reality. The world is running out of energy capacity at all levels,” Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.
Easier to collapse it than admit it is all falling apart.
Sure all those untapped hydrocarbons exist, just the EROEI in getting them out doesn’t work out in the long run.
Life at the end of empire.
complete and utter bullshit. From someone inside the business: the oil companies have more fuel than they know what to do with. This is all about making up for lost revenue during the plandemic.
I think the FBI should investigate whether the oil corporations and government are telling the truth or not. At least the investigative journalist should do a report for the nightly news. Someone in the presidential press corps should ask the presidential imposter-Usurper what is the truth.
Some people can’t handle the truth, couldn’t resist
That’s some kind of rolling joke where one laugh builds upon another. Thanks
Apprently been in the works for a while….
New features coming to the TSP – here’s what you need to know
But participants will know it as the project that will eventually bring them a new TSP mobile app, a mutual fund window, new security functions and a few more features that most consumers might recognize from the online banking world.
Many of these changes, especially the technical stuff on the back-end, have been in the works for years. But the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board has said participant feedback is informing the direction it’s taking with some of those new features.

SUV sales will falter…if one can even be found under 75K
The new Jeep Wagoneer starts at $90,000. What a crock. In ‘ 85 I bought a new 3/4 ton 4×4 Silverado Suburban with a sticker price of $16,500.
So, NYC, Boston, Phillie, Baltimore, DC, are gonna run out of diesel? Please, please, please let it be true. All my Christmas wishes will have come at once.
The people of color will go into action as soon as the fried chicken, Twinkies, and Colt 45 supply dries up. It will make BLM protests seem like a Girl Scout jamboree.
Let them spin those riots as “peaceful protests”.
Get a Ghillie suit that matches roofing material and go on safari.
HR,plan on being in the woods with this one!
Sesame Street Sniper.
Intentional pain. Intentional inflation. Incompetence can’t explain it all.
