There was a good debate about this on goldstockdata.com. The quote by the Pfizer CEO was taken out of context. He said they want to reduce the number of people “who cannot afford our medicine” by 50 percent. See video below, starting at 2:30.
Veterinarians are much better trained than MDs. Veterinary school is the hardest professional school to gain admittance to. Many who apply to veterinary school and do not get accepted then apply to medical school and some get accepted. Most medications and procedures are tried on animals before humans. Many diseases are zoonoses. Veterinarians catch things in animals before it gets to humans.
