Some will ignore as best they can and hope for the best but feel many have woken up and our doing what they reasonably can to be ready for tougher times.
Many I know who thought me a bit nuts about prepping years back are now ,well……,prepping/planting/getting wood stoves and producing firewood ect.
I though while keeping it not full of details talk with folks I meet in say supermarkets ect. and is very easy to see they also feel the same ways and say they are trying to be ready.
I feel prepping and building local is the best we can do at this point as voting does not matter(but will to say tried all peaceful means)and the votes that matter are what we do with our time and energies to be a little more ready while still taking time to enjoy the day.
I feel soon we will have a attempt at full blown martial law,ignore their edicts/orders and other bullshit,be the cat!

Referring to last week. I have 4 DVD’s coming form permies .com, about rocket mass heaters. I will make one to go right out of my gas fireplace if things get real bad. They are way more efficient than wood stoves, and you can make them out of bricks, clay, etc…

Instead of all that work and expenditure, just have a cell phone. Using your cell phone to be an informant for the govt (like 30% of people will) can and will ensure extra food rations and possibly some semblance of medical treatments if you’re sick or are caught by resistance fighters.
Actually, scratch that last part. If caught, you won’t need medical care.
cS- That is actually a good comment. I am fortunate to live where there are numerous salvage stores run by Amish. They sell me protein bars that you would generally pay two or three dollars apiece for, 10 for a dollah. I keep a stash at all times in case of SHTF. When the bars get too old to eat I toss them and buy a new supply. Protein bars and vitamins will keep you going until you can source some food.
So will raw honey and Ramen noodles. Which, btw, can be eaten right from the package.
And honey never goes bad, it just dehydrates/crystallizes.
Saves waste and avoids the chemical preservatIves found in most protein type bars

Talking to the average person IS A WASTE OF TIME. It comes down to … desire. They do not want to hear the truth. People refuse to believe what is headed our way. I spend my daze trying to help people protect their net worth from the ravages headed our way. To almost no avail. People would rather avoid the massive – in your face – mountain of evidence of economic malaise and believe the stock markets will continue to rebound so that they can upgrade to the latest audi . Its over.
I never mention prepping or food storage to anyone, but did warn friends to pu their 401k’s into US treasuries to avoid a tax penalty. Hopefully the checks will be deposited every month to retirees. Majority won’t isten and have pennies for retirement. Mostly talk is useless tho.
Getting access to clean water is going to be a real issue for many. Knowing how to purify and clarify water from various sources is a basic skill everyone needs.
Industrial agriculture is the cause of the greatest amount of damage to our planet. It is also the purveyor of more CO2 than any other source or system. We need to get back to an emphasis on local regenerative farming and humane and clean animal husbandry must be a part of it because, guess what, that is where fertilizer should be coming from. It is self sustaining and regenerative. It also sequesters carbon dioxide.
