Thank you AP for the word and the references. Lot had lost his legacy and his credibility with his sons-in laws because he long ago had “pitched his tent toward Sodom”. The Bible says he was a righteous man, but he chose to live with one foot planted firmly in the world–just like we do today. We all think we can be close to evil and yet not be affected by it. Lot serves as an example of what happens to the godly when they choose to go that way. He lost his legacy, his possessions, his wife, his testimony, and wound up living in a cave with his daughters, the father of his own grandchildren–who became the in their turn the fathers of the Ammonites and Moabites, the forever enemies of Abraham’s seed. Much to learn from Lot, and yes it will apply to us still.

they had Way overbooked the camp & a bunch of us had to sleep on the floor in the cafeteria–there were about 15 of us white kids & about 30 black kids from another county–

on the wall on our side was a large fire extinguisher that was the water filled type–
