I will needless to say have a bench seat cover(original mint)so I hope in with screw driver back pocket/need a place for a pooch will not trash seat.

She’s a dumb, lovable old pound rescue gal we’ve had for 10 years ’till death do us part.
We’d never really give her up but I can still dream about it every time she begins to howl and bay nonstop.

Haha. I removed the tree skirt under the fake ugly tree with all mismatched ornaments from decades past, because it smelled like cat pee. Now WHICH ONE OF YOU THREE DID IT???? (They didn’t answer)

Not having family nearby, we had a family from the neighborhood over for dinner on Christmas Eve. We made Thanksgiving dinner electric bugaloo: turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole and brussel sprouts.

The wife of that family had complained of lingering pain and weakness for months in the gene injection arm, and I was really curious whether that had resolved, but they did not bring up that topic at all, and neither did I. No politics, just a friendly and enjoyable evening.

Christmas day, son got up at 2am to pee and told me that he heard a stomping sound from the living room. Must have been Santa?! I was able to convince him to sleep a bit more.

4:30 am, two children awake. Santa was there. Check. Came to our bed never to sleep again. At 5, I peeled myself out of bed to play board games with them for 2 hours so Dad could sleep some more. Started the gift unwrapping at 7 and were done by 8:30. I got a dutch oven, fuzzy slippers and 2 books. The rest of the day we just chatted, had French toast and bacon for brunch, played board games, worked on a 500 piece puzzle, listened to music and watched “Elf” cuddled up under blankets together. Was awesome.

Is one of those cats named AOC (hope not – that’d be cruelty to animals) … ’cause she should be standing outside that fence … wailing and gnashing her teeth …

The horror … the horror …

I did have a wonderful Christmas. As usual. I am willing to talk politics, or about any other subject at any gathering. But this year nobody brought up anything that might initiate such a discussion.
Christmas Eve was spent with my 4 kids, their spouses, 9 grandchildren, and other family members. Probably about 35 people.
My son’s FIL, a Vietnam Vet, has on occasion made comments of a political nature. But the last time he did, on Easter, a heated discussion ensued. Much cognitive dissonance.
Most of my family and friends lean conservative but most refuse to take a red pill.
On Christmas Day I was at the home of a West Point grad. He is a close family friend. Also present was my cousin and her husband, also a West Point grad. These are people who sent their kids to schools like Phillips Andover and then Ivy league or similar colleges. They wouldn’t admit it, I’m sure, but since we’ve had previous discussions about covid, the not vax, and other topics where some truths emerged to show my positions were correct at this point no one want to engage with me in any discussion that might be controversial.

I felt loved and tried to make others feel that way, too, so it was a good Christmas.

I laid into my nieces (25 and 19) after Christmas dinner. They actually listened and fought back in reasonable ways.

I probably came off as the crazy uncle, ’cause I got a little hot. Did my best to explain that’s it’s not about the nice trans people they both know (of course) but about where this is going and why it’s all anyone is talking about when 10 years ago it was a non-issue.

After we opened presents, I dumped the whole Suspicious Observers 12000-year disaster cycle on them.

Yup, I am a walking, talking meme.

Great Christmas. Do not care what people believe or do -as long as they don’t bother me or ask me to pay for it! I also make it clear I will not march in their “Parades”! I don’t tell people what to do BUT do not try to tell me what to do.

I found it interesting that my fully vaxxed and boosted relatives; who could talk about nothing but COVID during the 2021 holiday season; did not have single word to say about it this year.

Kind of weird, huh?

Mine were the same not a word. Last year I refused to go, the idiots asked if I would take a covid test and wear a mask. The answer was a less than polite F OFF.
