2022 Inflation is Final – 32% for the year

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Our Independent Inflation model has calculated that the combined rate for everything from food to transportation came in at 32% for 2022. That is a far cry from the official number. This is simply calculated by Socrates from an unbiased perspective. Thank you, COVID & the Russian Sanctions. What a new wonderful world the Biden Administration has created.

I know that those on SS got a COL increase of about 8% starting in Jan 23, what I’m wondering about is what sort of adjustment do those on EBT or WIC get or any other form of welfare, how does that work?

Cost-of-Living Adjustment
SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) benefits are adjusted annually based on the rate of inflation. The announced increase in payments for 2023 — which technically started Oct. 1, 2022 — was 12.5%. This means that households receiving $500 in SNAP benefits from Oct. 1, 2021, to Sep. 30, 2022, will see an increase to $562.50 for the next year.

Why the fuck would food welfare go up 12.5% and Social Security go up 8.7%???
Lying fuckin’ cocksuckers is why!
Must say Armstrong’s 32% is way more in line with reality than .gov’s bald-faced lies.

Part of the discrepancy is due to the fact that the Social Security COLA does NOT include changes in the price of food or fuel …

Good start. Our goal is to make all the people sit in a small box in the city and stop consuming the resources that belong to we the elite members of the WEF. Our goal it to impoverish the 99% so we can rule them with ease. We want you to serve us but if you continue to destroy the earth that belongs to us, we will kill you. I hope you like to eat bugs because Beef is for us only. Now get back in your box and be sure to send us your rent payment on time or you will be terminated.
Sincerely,

Anon, telling the truth like you did is a bold act in this whacked out world. Thanks!

32% is pretty much in line with what I see at the grocery store. Pretty much everything is up by 1/3. Sometimes even more when you factor in the shrinkflation.

Gas is double what it was this time last year. 32% does seem in line overall.

A dozen large eggs have gone from $1.29 to $4.89 since FJB became resident. That would be a 379% increase. Gasoline from $1.89 to $2.79, a 48% increase. My natural gas is up 70% per MCF in that same time period.

Food and energy make up most of my spending.
