Ontario Governing Body For Psychologists Demands Re-Education For Jordan Peterson

Via ZeroHedge

Outspoken psychologist and former tenured professor Jordan Peterson has come under relentless attack ever since he criticized the ‘Act To Amend The Canadian Human Rights Act And The Criminal Code’ back in 2016.  The act is a framework which makes scrutiny of gender identity ideology or transsexualism into potential discrimination under Canadian law.  Peterson posted a series of videos which outline why critique of gender identity groups is rooted in science and should be protected as free speech.

After several years of harassment from leftist activists and politically motivated bureaucrats, Peterson is once again being threatened.  This time, with the loss of his license to practice psychology unless he submits to a series of ‘re-education’ programs mandated by the College of Pyschologists of Ontario.

The CPO is a quasi-governmental body (a mostly unaccountable bureaucracy) acting in accordance with the Psychology Act, 1991 the Health Professions Procedural Code, the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 and the regulations and by-laws of the college.  The CPO’s sudden aggressive effort to silence Jordan Peterson appears to have been triggered by his reinstatement on Twitter in November.

He was originally banned from the site for referring to actress Elliot Page by her original name (Ellen Page) and using the word “her” as a descriptive, which is a scientific fact, but also a violation of the leftist site’s TOS before Elon Musk’s takeover.

The psychologist is also known for his criticisms of Canada’s draconian covid lockdowns and mandates.

With Peterson once again having access to a wider audience on social media, the CPO has ordered him to complete a mandatory “Specified Continuing Education or Remedial Program” to “review, reflect on and ameliorate [his] professionalism in public statements,” according to a lengthy list of requirements from the college that Peterson shared on Twitter.  He must meet with a psychologist for coaching classes, which he must pay for, until a final report is issued by the coach that shows their concerns have been “properly ameliorated.”

The CPO argues that Peterson’s social media interactions constitute a violation of the organization’s standards for professional interactions with the public.  In other words, the CPO essentially believes it has the right to control the speech of member psychologists and force them to adhere to a predetermined narrative they find acceptable when engaging with the public.

It should be noted that there are no publicized instances of psychologists being threatened with a loss of their license for espousing leftist viewpoints on social media.  The measures appear to be strictly designed to punish more conservative leaning professionals.

Peterson says he will not comply with the CPO programs because his comments have nothing to do with his role as a psychologist.  “Every single accusation is not only independent of my clinical practice, but explicitly political — and not only that: unidirectionally explicitly political,” Peterson writes.

Canada’s spiral into authoritarianism is widely publicized and the nation’s waning respect for free speech accelerated during the pandemic lockdowns.  While the US is not far behind, Americans at least have free speech rights codified in a constitution that is designed to regulate what the government can and cannot do.  In Canada, such a thing does not exist.  Canadian rights are treated more like privileges that the government is allowed to legally erase at a moment’s notice.

CPO actions not only indicate hostility towards free speech, but also hint at an underlying fear – Members of the professional class are often the most indoctrinated of all people, and for one of them to break from the paradigm and speak against the establishment is considered the utmost betrayal.

Peterson is being targeted with a special brand of bureaucratic attention because the establishment uses the professional class to convince and control the general public.  The claim that the “experts have spoken” is the ultimate tool for manipulating a majority of the population, and when some of those experts contradict the narrative, the powers-that-be take particular notice.

Ontario and british communista are the two most regulated and communist provinces in canukistan.

This is not an isolated incident as here in british communista the govt (NDP openly communist) has TOLD the medical certifying boards that they will be required to enforce whatever mandates the govt deems necessary. The govt is reducing the medical boards to make controlling them easier.

This is WHY, here in BC, that every ‘medical’ facility, whether dentist, optometrist, psychologist, MD’s, all of them are stilled REQUIRED to be masked and boosted. EVEN if you don’t deal directly with people and the public going to see a practitioner also has to wear masks…. still

My neighbours wife is a shrink, works from home and only does zoom calls. She’s had several ‘notices’ from the govt and boards to declare vax status and what protocols shes following. Shes had cancer before and now shes torn between risking her life to save her career or refusing and losing her license to practice.

To most here it’d be a no brainer, tell the govt and boards to go pound sand. They can’t decide, mostly because they make a lot of money each month and spend it all. Is this going to go away… nope, its just getting legs.

First they came to Re-Educate Jordan. Then they came after BabbleOn. Next it’ll be you.

Haha, kinda sucks IDC bout Jordan, oh well. Off to my demise….

Here in Ontario, I got a letter stating I’m no longer allowed to accompany my family member that I’m responsible for. No vaccine, no medical power of attorney. Let that sink in.

My volunteer activities pre-covid revolved around driving cancer patients to their appointments. That ended when I refused to take the vaccination. The Canadian Cancer Society still requires covid “vaccines” for all volunteers, even though the shots don’t work . . . and may even cause or exacerbate cancer in some people. I really hope there’s a hell for these covid tyrants.

They really are playing for keeps 🙁 That is the scary part, knowing they are killing people openly, and if you don’t like it then you’re the terrorist. Communist Clown Canada Party.
Staying quiet or Obeying doesn’t matter. As Theresa Tam said. Santa is working for Health Canada and making a list. Actually they have the list, everyone in Canada used their Gov’t Health Card to get vaxxed. So if it’s not in the file then we’re up for re-education.

I take this seriously because I’m from Canada and live in Ontario, and these bastards are helping to ruin my country, so I emailed the College of Pyschologists of Ontario to let them know how I feel about all this. I’m sure they’ll reverse course immediately upon reading it. 🙂 Here’s what I wrote (including a passage I’ve used in a previous comment here on TBP).

Your treatment of Dr. Jordan Peterson is outrageous. Reeducation camp. Where do you think we are? China? Who do you think you are? Mao? Stalin? We have the right to speak our mind in Canada regardless of what you petty bureaucrats decree. Your prescription for reeducation is even more ridiculous considering Dr. Peterson’s principled stance against such foolish woke agendas as the transgender nonsense. Do you actually believe people can change their sex simply by deciding? If a man tells me he’s a woman, or a woman tells me she’s a man, my first impulse is to laugh; my second is to question their sanity. If a supposedly neutral observer supports such a spurious claim, my first impulse is to laugh at their naivety–or is it stupidity? My second is to question their motives. If a bureaucracy such as CPO backs such a preposterous notion as transgender, my impulse is to worry that we’re being governed by fools, or worse, cultural Marxists who actively support such blather to further their power. But in no case do I respect anyone’s so-called right to claim to be something they clearly are not. The same goes for this pronoun claptrap. No one has the right to tell us what words we may use under any circumstance. Surrender that and we surrender our right to think and speak as we please. The Almighty CPO certainly can’t take that away from anyone regardless of what you tyrants think. If you actually believe this woke nonsense you are insane. I suggest you go to a psychiatrist since psychologists are clearly incompetent.

Your stance on covid is no better. If, by now, you don’t see that our governments’ responses, faithfully adhered to by you clowns, were a counterproductive disaster, there’s no hope for you. Everything they imposed on us—masks, social distancing, lockdowns, vaccines, vaccines mandates—backfired spectacularly; they had no impact on covid but crushed the Canadian economy and torpedoed our God-given human rights. Anyone who bothered to look at the actual research knows this. Most critically, the vaccines are not only useless for protecting against getting or transmitting covid (even Pfizer admits this), they are downright dangerous. Official data from all over the world prove this with excess deaths spiking up to 40% (depending on the country) coincident with the imposition of vaccine mandates. If you don’t know this you’re hopelessly ignorant and incompetent and have no business governing other people.

Desist in your authoritarian treatment of Dr. Peterson. You’re making Canada a laughingstock. All of you are a disgrace to your so-called profession and a disgrace to our country. You should be deeply ashamed.

Sincerely,

BP

In US football, the ideal tackle is to stuff your helmut into the runner’s chest, wrap him up and take him down. 100 years of playing “instant death” at every level…peewee, HS, College, Pro.
You’d think they would have figured out how dangerous this comodio cortis shit is by now…lol.
Maybe the NFL can switch over to tag football….to lead the way.

The other option is Tom Maddens football on playstation or Xbox. Then theres no injuries and the owners can save money by not having to pay doctors, physio’s, road trips, managers, stadium costs, the whole ball o wax. Much safer than even tag or flag football where you would still have to run and that would mean heart attacks from the climate sugar fossil fuel panscamic we are experiencing.

Just typical everyday people that are the majority of occupiers in BC and ontario. Retarded? No, they don’t function that high intellectually they are more towards brain dead zombies.

I talked with one at the dog park just yesterday. I took me a full twenty minutes to shake off the mind numbing ignorance this person spewed. Funny thing, the lady started the questions with a why no masking, even tho she wasn’t wearing one because she forgot it. My simple questions back got deer in the headliights until she filtered out the correct talking point she remembered from the teevee. I sympathized for the dog and told it I understood its plight.

OK, this is unrelated, but on this Tuesday, we have this trash that the Santa Cruz city council will accept as a report.

“on November 9, 2021, City Council adopted a complementary resolution recognizing the
history and current existence of racism and white supremacy in the community”

“Pursue cross-sector and cross-jurisdiction partnerships within Santa Cruz County and
alignment in dismantling white supremacy, fortifying our commitment to fostering
antiracist and anti-discrimination community culture, and celebrating and highlighting
past and existing culture and leadership of People of Color community members.”

In terms of governance positions (city workers and positions of authority), they find
“Survey results show critical over representation as compared to census data. This includes zero representation of young adults (ages 18-24) or a 20% variance, a 38% variance in
those who indicated having a 4-year college degree or higher (91% vs 53%), and a variance of 26% for households earning $100K or higher (67% vs 41%).”

They are saying very qualified people are over represented.

“Critical Under Representation of People of Color Data shows a
34% under count of people of color, based on race and ethnicity
indicators, in the make-up of boards and commissions”

They are saying this is evidence of RAY-CISM.

“Critical Under Representation of Renters. Renters make up only
28% of board and commission membership, as compared to 54%
of the general population.”

They are saying renter status should count as a factor in assigning an authority privilege.

This is but a sample of the absolute horseshit they will present Tuesday.

I can only comment.. Go Fuck yourself Santa Cruz City Council.

Its not just Santa Cruz. Its happening everywhere.

The thing these dirtballs fear is the very thing Bannon is pushing. For people to get up off their asses and get involved locally at every level, even down to dog catcher. The ONLY way to rescue our countries is if the ‘People” get re-engaged and kick the woke communist asswipes out of these positions and restore some common sense conservative types back into these positions.

Voting harder or sending these asswipes money because you believe their lies in the moment, will NEVER work. Voting is done, over with and if you continue to send them money then YOU are the dumbass and the problem. What are the odds people will actively get involved in taking back the country? imo, little to none, sadly
