The Brain Standard, Part Two

Three steps forward, two steps back; so humanity advances.

Guest Post by Robert Gore at Straight Line Logic

Part One

Ideas are the foundation of the brain standard, one of which is that only individuals have rights. This cuts through the collectivist dreck that passes for thought among most of the world’s so-called intellectuals. The variations of collectivism all disguise nothing more than brute force hiding behind propaganda. Their inevitable failures stem from their essential flaw: those that control the collective claim rights that negate those of the individual.

There are grounds for hope. From the ruins of impending collapse there will be some who reject collectivism and are committed to rebuilding on a foundation of individual rights. How they will protect those rights and whatever territories they stake out are what theoretical physicists sometimes call “engineering problems.” One advantage they’ll have, though, as the brain standard constituency—they’ll be smarter than their adversaries. Attention, imagination, and intelligence will be keenly focused on building from the ruins and protecting what they’ve built.

Here’s a thought experiment. Imagine someone invents a cheap, portable device that defends its bearer and his or her property from all violence from all sources, but has no offensive capability. The device is so cheap that virtually everyone can buy it, and charities are set up to donate it to those who can’t. The device is universally available and creates a world without violence.

How would such a world function? People would have to produce to survive, but absent mutual agreement no one would have an enforceable claim on anyone else’s production. There would be no coercive transfers of money or property. Disputes would be settled by negotiation and mediation. A body of civil law similar to English common law would develop. Surely such a society would figure out a way to deal with nonviolent crime.

The negation of violence would eliminate government’s nominal rationale: protecting citizens from violence. In the absence of government (and its violence), individuals and society as a whole would be free to advance as far as their capabilities will take them.

This extreme hypothetical offers a stark contrast with the absence of anything resembling freedom anywhere in the world today. Government and collectivism are top-down codependents based on violence and coercion. Their current manifestations are replaying the dreary and what should be the common knowledge lesson of history: they inevitably fail, often after a great deal of bloodshed.

In the current jockeying among collectivist governments for the things over which they jockey, Russia’s and China’s are doing a better job than the U.S.’s. The former are the co-leaders of the Eurasian alliance and represent substantial politic and economic power. The latter is bankrupt, embroiled in yet another war it won’t win, and stands accused of sabotaging its most important European ally’s oil pipelines. At home, the U.S. government and its fellow travelers are in thrall to brain-dead ideologies that hasten the country’s disintegration.

Notwithstanding relative strength between collectivists governments, collectivism is still collectivism—coercive and doomed. China refers to its Belt and Road Initiative’s myriad projects and arrangements as the New Silk Road. However the original Silk Road, which lasted over 1500 years, was bottom-up, peopled mostly by merchants and traders. Various rulers sometimes facilitated its commerce and trade, but they were not the prime movers.

The New Silk Road is top-down, directed by governments and industrial and financial concerns aligned with those governments. Neither China nor Russia embrace the brain standard, although both countries have countless would-be entrepreneurs and innovators who would flourish under it. Currently doing better than the U.S. government means only that they’re stepping over a very low bar. It doesn’t make either country a bastion of freedom, nor does it insulate them from global collapse.

. . . . Western financial and economic collapse will be a black hole that sucks in the entire world. The debt daisy chain is global and will unravel as it did in the last financial crisis. The U.S. and EU economies are the first and third largest in the world. If they are prostrate, where’s the replacement market for Russian natural resources and Chinese manufactured goods? The “Stans” don’t quite cut it.

SLL, “Bonfire of the Governments, Part Two”, Robert Gore, March 23, 2022

The danger of nuclear conflagration at that point will be even greater than it already is. If collapse is non-nuclear and humanity avoids self-annihilation, parts of what may be the former United States could stage the quickest rebuilds and strongest recoveries. As open to criticism as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution may be, they embody fundamental concepts of freedom, individual rights, and limited government that are part of our heritage. These concepts have never gained traction in Russia, China, or much of the rest of the world, but they have not been extinguished in red state America.

A particular favorite is the right to self-defense. Red staters have the majority of private firearms and most of the expertise concerning their use. If collapse brings secession, insurrection, and guerrilla war, they will be waged from the red states, probably led by members of the military and veterans. If, afterwards, one or more of those states become enclaves of freedom and the brain standard, the innovators will come and thrive. There is that problem of protecting those enclaves, but keep in mind that most of America’s nuclear arsenal is in red states.

This is not to suggest that freedom and the brain standard can only flourish in the United States. Their foundations are universal ideals, not geography. They have never been fully realized, but any move in their direction yields improvement. The losers of World War II, Germany and Japan, did far better economically than the European winners, France and England. All four countries were devastated, but France and England kept their wartime economic controls and stagnated while Germany and Japan lifted theirs and flourished.

Wherever it appears, the brain standard will be opposed by those who won’t flourish under it. That includes many of the type of people who make up the current ruling class: credentialed elites who lack integrity, common sense, practical skills, useful knowledge, or innovative brilliance and are unremittingly hostile to those who do.

Denizens of brain standard territories will have to be intellectually and physically prepared to protect individual rights, resist incursions from moochers and looters, and deny collectivist ideologies and demands. Perhaps someone will invent the anti-violence device mentioned earlier. It sure would make things easier.

One thing that can be said about a brain standard society: the flotsam and jetsam floating in the intellectual mainstream and plaguing the world like so many turds will be gone. Absent coercion, the diktats and nonsense we’ve come to know and despise can’t be jammed down anyone’s throat. Reason and integrity will thrive, leaving no room for the ideological gargoyles that are today’s hideously evil dogmas.

There is no evading recognition that collapse is now underway, nor that it will get worse before there can be any hope that it gets better. However, the good comports with reality and evil never does, so humanity ultimately progresses. Unless we wipe ourselves out, the good will again triumph.

When it does, the long forgotten advice of George Washington will be remembered: “Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair.”

Sorry, but I have to LOL.
You’re still only getting half of the story. The belief that (more) individualism will get us out of this mess, completely ignores the part it played getting us into it in the first place – I leave it at that.

Yes, there will be a rebuilding from the ruins of impending collapse.
In the best case it will take the US about 30 years -a generation-, to revitalize its Christian roots, i.e. finding commonly agreed upon values higher than each individual.
While in the average case it will take around 75 years, just like it did for the USSR to finally collapse.

Individualism didn’t bring us here. Groupthink did. The masses are not interested in individualism. People get tats and consumer products and group/tribe/trend/fashion classifications that co-opt their individuality and absorbs both their desire to be individuals and their fear of taking responsibility for individual decisions.

That’s basically a repeat of the tired argument “That wasn’t real communism individualism, if we’d had real one it would have succeeded.”

Try again,
plus -to not immediately get laughed out of the room- include a rough outline why China and Russia are doing so well [because they have moar individuality, perhaps?]

I think its more than a fair assumption that reason preceded religion . There can be many different religions but if reality is objective ,reason is the very narrow and straight gate thru which one must pass in order to exist in that “state ‘of objective reality . Reason , like salvation cannot be collectively acquired .And spoiler alert , reality is objective .

UPDATE 9:25 AM EST (Saturday) —

The Bank of London is exploring the possibility of assembling a Rescue offer for Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) UK as start-up founders warn Jeremy Hunt that its collapse will “cripple” the British tech sector,

Elon Musk just said he is “open to the idea” to buy Silicon Valley Bank and become a digital bank. (HT REMARK: As long as no major U.S. bank is willing to touch it, I wouldn’t expect Elon’s “golden touch” to stabilize everything.)

China orders its Finance Ministry to sell its US Treasuries at “fastest pace.”

Meanwhile, the People’s Bank of China has added over 102 tons of gold in 4 months in an attempt to limit counterparty risk in a conflict with the US over Taiwan.

Tomorrow night watching the Asian markets on Bloomberg may be way beyond “interesting.” Not trying to be a grammar Nazi BUT they refer to Gold in “tonnes” which I guess distinguishes the 2,000 lb avoirdupois ton from the 2,200 pound metric tonne.
Would we be shocked to learn where all this Gold is being drained from? Why do I imagine we are getting hosed? I don’t think the boys from “Gold Rush” are digging this much out annually. I dare Dementia Joe to audit Ft. Knox. WHY in the F does the private Federal Reserve have possession of a lot of US government Gold?

There is never just one roach in the kitchen, it is just a symptom of a much greater problem.
Bear Stearns implosion began almost exactly 15 years ago March 16 2008. I
It was a canary in a quadrillion-dollar coal mine of derivative losses backed by CLO collateral that did not exist (and created by Nazi FED welfare for corporate cartel billionaires masquerading as ‘capitalists’). So was Lehman.

SVIB books show the universal bank practice of pricing paper – especially gov and corporate bond notes- at purchase value not at their real market value now (which is disastrously lower).
ALL banks have zillions of that junk falsely valued on their books not just SIVB. Just as all banks and hedgies had CLO CDS etc. junk derivatives not worth the paper you wipe with valued at 100 cents on the dollar in 2008. Bear Stearns and Lehman were the first scream of “fire” in a burning theater.
Once idiots learn that the money they are owed does not exist, not just at SVIB but everywhere, it is not long before they ALL trample each other at the exit door. It took 6 months after Bear Stearns screamed fire before people figured out the obvious reality.
SVIB just screamed fire. This time I doubt it will take 6 months, but people are still brainwashed to worship comical lies on CNBC FOX Business etc, so maybe they will buy the “Musk band-aids on SVIB cancer will magically cure the same cancer at ALL banks” bullshit.

Yes, but the canary back then was actually the July/August 2007 implosion of the first subprime mortgage hedge funds. As I only learned later; which surprised me quite a bit as I was working in IT at a bank at the time.
The same canary-type event occurred again in September 2019. This time they used/created Covid to allow for truly unlimited money printing, to paper things over.
Right now we are in the ‘fake it [interest rate increases to “strengthen” the Dollar] til you make it’ phase of the Fed, but it’s just a bluff and I have stated here several times that I am certain the Fed will lower interest rates again before end of May, under whatever pretense. (Reason being that even if they managed to keep both stocks and bonds from collapsing, the implosion of the housing sector, due to much higher mortgage rates, will become untenable.)

I didn’t see bank implosions coming at this moment of the play, but I also long ago realized almost none of the bank implosions during the GFC were “deserved”, compared to their peers. So I now see that as effectively a ‘the sharks starting to eat each other’ phase.

Enjoy the down votes for mentioning a harsh truth. People love happy lies. Because it feels good to hear a soothing fairy tale, particularly in times of great anxiety. People who tell the harsh truth are hated.

The happy lie need and the ‘Blame the messenger of bad news’ impulse is hard-wired into us all.
Sociopaths (i.e. most Uni-Party and Bankster elites) go a step further and blame the victims of their destructive handiwork by projecting their evil deeds and motives onto those they hate and destroy most.
We see it everywhere. MAGAs are called ‘domestic terrorists’ by domestic terrorists systematically dismantling the social and economic fabric of the country.
And anyone sane who confronts these ‘hate-whiteness-and-maleness” racist sociopaths is always called a “racist” and a lynch mob is sure to follow.
I once told Jesse Jackson (then the At-Large Rep of DC) at a power dinner party he was a fraud for sending his kid to 20k-per-yr St Albans while blocking his DC constituents from any school choice much less St Albans, and enslaving them in shitty government dumb-them-down schools that produce ZERO literacy rates. Kudlow laughed everyone else chanted “racist”! And a quick getaway was required.

Good people blame the messenger for bad news and sociopaths put out an APB on you titled ‘wanted dead or alive’ for even noticing it.
It is why evil is hardly ever defeated. Can’t kill an enemy when no one is even willing to admit he exists.

Here is an example of how harsh truth hating will play out soon.
After the crash of 2023-2024 QE destruction of purchasing power will go viral.

When it does, the same R and D Sheeple who cheered on trillions in debt creation because “Welfare-for-Billionaires-is-Capitalism” and “Endless-War-for-UKR-Nazis-and-al-Qaeda-thugs-in-Syria-is-Patriotism” will ALL support Wage and Price controls.
They will try to outlaw bad news that they created, just as they did in the 1970s.

They will punish producers and consumers of products with rationing rather than admit that they created this inflationary monster by worshiping those evil happy lies. It will be the Nixon-Ford Era on Steroids.
No sense trying to change the wind of human nature, it will blow where it wishes. But you can “adjust your sails”and maybe help other realists do the same.
That is why his site is valuable because it is well-stocked with realists who will adjust their sails and help like-minded folks do the same. Some down votes just come with the territory.

This article was very fanciful. Progress, triumph of good, etc.

The idea behind the fictional device seems strange. Even avoiding the dystopian aspects of how ownership of property is decided and how people get or lose it, I hate to think of what it would do to the human animal. And the thought of never being able to go anywhere without permission or payment… sounds more unfree than our current shituation.

Unfortunately the concepts of individualism and self-reliance are only applicable to races and peoples who are biologically and culturally equipped to base their societies on these concepts. That excludes about 90% of the global population. For the rest of humanity, life will be as it always has been – might makes right.

The power of the individual is a lolbertz myth and just another Deep Shekel op , designed to weaken the cohesiveness of any communization of like minded traditionalists. The Rights of (English)Men arose out of the Catholic Church’s battle with the monarchy …see Archbishop of Canterbury, Cardinal Stephen Langton, and the Magna Carta from which the Declaration of Independence, the Articles, Constitution and Bill of Rights sprang. To get back to that degree of unified national ” individualism “, we will need a strong unified Church Authority willing to go to war with the powers of darkness . Anyone see that happening anytime soon… the so called Reformation wrecking the unified authority of the Church made sure of that.

Also , Germany under a National Socialist government had a strong stable economy before the powers of muh free market capitalism destroyed it. Anyone ever wonder why Bolshevism and Capitalism always seem to be tied at the hip and are always making war against any nations that asserts it’s independence from the Beast system? …but if we just get back on the Gold Standard , Deep Shekels will be defeated and so will price inflation, too…reeeeeee.

smh…might makes right and the individual is powerless against it. Tribe up or die.

I can’t believe I once fell for that lolbertz shit, too.

“The Nazis came to power in Germany on 1933, at time when its economy was in total collapse, with ruinous war-reparation obligations and zero prospects for foreign investment or credit. Yet through an independent monetary policy of sovereign credit and a full-employment works program, the Third Reich was able to turn a bankrupt Germany, stripped of overseas colonies it could exploit, into the strongest economy in Europe within four years, even before armament spending began. “

“ World War II ended the “depression.” The same Bankers who in the early 30’s had no loans for peacetime houses, food and clothing, suddenly had unlimited billions to lend for Army barracks, K-rations and uniforms! A nation that in 1934 couldn’t produce food for sale, suddenly could produce bombs to send free to Germany and Japan!… Germany issued debt-free and interest-free money from 1935 and on, accounting for its startling rise from the depression to a world power in 5 years. Germany financed its entire government and war operation from 1935 to 1945 without gold and without debt, and it took the whole Capitalist and Communist world to destroy the
German power over Europe and bring Europe back under the heel of the Bankers. Such history of money does not even appear in the textbooks of public (government) schools today. ”

Why shooting Germans was US Treasury business was not
obvious. Nonetheless, that this was considered Treasury business
by summer 1944 is clear in the historical record. Somehow, in the
aftermath of the Allied landings at Normandy, which brought the
prospect of Germany’s final defeat in sight, a long-running policy
discussion in the Treasury on how to administer the German
economy after the war morphed into an open-ended revenge
fantasy. During the same meeting at which he and White spoke of
death quotas for captured Germans, Morgenthau also proposed “the
complete shut-down of the Ruhr [industrial area]” in terms clearly
designed to inflict maximum human suffering: “Just strip it. I don’t
care what happens to the population.… I would take every mine,
every mill and factory and wreck it… steel, coal, everything. Just
close it down. I am for destroying it first and we will worry about the
population second.… Why should I worry about what happens to [the
German] people?”3

Muh gold standard…reeeeee

But here is the point: If the nation can issue a dollar bond, it can also issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good, also. The difference, between the bond and the bill, is that the bond lets the money-broker collect twice the amount of the bond, and an additional 20%. Whereas the currency, the honest sort, provided by the Constitution, pays nobody, but those, who contribute in some useful way. It is absurd, to say that our country can issue bonds, and cannot issue currency. Both are promises to pay, but one fattens the usurer and the other helps the people. If the currency issued by the people were no good, then the bonds would be no good, either. It is a terrible situation, when the Government, to insure the national wealth, must go in debt and submit to ruinous interest charges, at the hands of men, who control the fictitious value of gold. Interest is the invention of Satan.”

History…get some.

Stalin’s War

Sean McMeekin

German-Soviet trade discussions were no mere red herring. In
economic terms, both countries needed each other, and the stakes
were high. Stalin’s armament drive had stimulated voracious
demand for machine tools and engineering know-how, areas in
which German firms excelled. Hitler’s own armament efforts had
ratcheted up German demand for oil, manganese, cotton, and grain,
all of which the Soviets produced in abundance. Rubber stocks were
perilously low in Germany, sufficient for only two to three months in
case of war. Although Russia did not produce rubber, it had ready
access to Asian supplies, which might prove critical in the case of a
British blockade of Germany. It was the same story with steel and
nickel: if supplies of iron ore from the Gällivare mines of Sweden and
the Petsamo nickel combines in Finland were disrupted across the
Baltic, German mass production of panzers and warplanes would be
impossible. Little wonder the German Office for Economic
Development concluded that “making our greater economic sphere
blockade-proof can only be achieved through close economic
cooperation with Russia.”11

With Molotov having given the green light for Ribbentrop to come
to Moscow, all that remained to work out was the timing. True to
Molotov’s formula, a German-Soviet economic agreement was inked
first, at 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, under which the Soviets would
supply Hitler with at least 240 million Reichsmarks’ worth of raw
materials over the next two years (mostly oil, cotton, manganese,
and rubber), in exchange for an equivalent value in German
manufactures and technology transfer. This sum was a mere
baseline: the goal was to ramp up bilateral trade to 1 billion
Reichsmarks per year. Sunday afternoon, Hitler requested that
Ribbentrop be received in Moscow on either Tuesday or the
following day. In a wire to “the Chancellor of the German Reich” sent
Monday evening, Stalin welcomed “the assent of the German
Government to the conclusion of a non-aggression pact” and agreed
to receive Ribbentrop on Wednesday, August 23.26
…Then, suddenly, as if a switch had been thrown, all tensions
between Moscow and Berlin vanished. On April 10, Molotov agreed
to see Schulenburg and apologized for the recent “suspension of
petroleum and grain shipments,” a mistake he attributed to the
“excessive zeal of subordinate agencies.” “Amazed at the change,”
Schulenburg thought of a likely explanation: Germany’s lightning
invasions of Denmark and Norway on April 8 and 9, 1940. By landing
troops at Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Narvik, and
Oslo, the Germans had beaten Britain to the punch and foiled Allied
plans to cut Hitler off from his Scandinavian iron, timber, and nickel
supplies, neutralizing the British threat to Soviet interests in the far
north. “Our Scandinavian operations,” Schulenburg wrote to
Ribbentrop on April 11, “must have relieved the Soviet Government
enormously.” Stalin, Schulenburg noted, was “always extraordinarily
well informed” and must therefore have known of the Allied plans to
“occupy Norway and Sweden” and was “terrified of them.”

I sure wish your pipe dream of some Galt/Liberty enclave could magically appear by spontaneous combustion when the derivative/sovereign debt collapses like the giant evil SIVB bank replica that it is, but it requires me to be brain-dead (which is ‘brain standard’ for FOX CNN CNBC dolts calling this Nazi Finance shitpile “Capitalism.)

You need to consider the ‘correlation of forces’ as military wonks call it, arrayed against you/us 3 perecenters. It includes the totality of social, economic, cultural, political, surveillance ,MIC deep state forces with monopoly control over the serfs.
Just consider the total Nazi control they have and the total obedience the Sheeple have. The death jab history is one telling example.
Before/during the collapse all so-called ‘red state’ govs [especially mine here in texas) were – from the very start of Fauci’s (and his poodle Orange Hair’s )Warp Speed death jab – TOTAL knob-sucking whores for the deep state and NaziMonopolies. And they still are. They are still obedient whores to the Pfizer gang.
They ALL helped Nazi info-Czars Google-FB-Apple censor the truth about the US NIH creation of this bioweapon (in violation of the 2012 Bioweapons Act) and about death jab dangers and about alternative medicine) They all suppressed and compulsively ignored the truth about the CIA front EcaoLab under Peter Daszak loading it in Wuhan.
R and D Nazis both BUILT this monopoly-CIA-DHS partnership of censorship and mass brainwashing narratives. The Google-Apple-Amazon-FB cartel runs the CHICOM slave surveillance state and they now run the one here with CIA-DHS FBI Nazihelp. They OWNS mCConnell Romney et al as much as they do Schumer etc.

THEY ALL bowed to the US Nazi government death jab mandates against their US and National Guard troops even AFTER Senator Johnson’s hearing revealed US DOD data that adverse events injuring troops was up THOUSANDS of percent after the death jabs. [corrupt fraud Gov Stitt in OK pretended to complain AFTER his troops were jabbed but informed Biden that all he had to do is send him a note invoking US authority over his troops and he could do as he wished with them].

They ALL obeyed the US Nazi deep state with Nazi lockdowns, Nazi-Cartels-like-Walmart-exempt from all-rules-to-kill-small-guys, and insanely absurd slave training mandating that we “wear a useless mask except when you sit down to eat meal then ‘un-slave’ yourself’ next to folks at the bar”.
NO ONE in state of fed political roles told us NOT to take the Pfizer=CDC=FDA=DHS death jab. Not even Rand Paul .
. He just said he personally chose not to take it but has never recommended that others should NOT take it. And he is powerless and thus irrelevant anyway.

What does that tell you? It tells you that there is no real ‘red state’. NONE. And NO ONE with any clout at any level will be willing to whimper a complaint much less secede from US Nazi deep state gulag. They will comply with the Nazis when the “Crash-plus-War clampdown mandate comes and so will their National Guard.

Understanding armed conflict realities is clearly not your strong suit, so I will spell it out. An”Army of One” as the ludicrous DOD recruiting ad once put it, won’t cut it. “Individual Galts” will get exterminated like flies. You won’t be allowed to just wander off and build your little ‘brain standard nirvana.’

If the USA exists at all, then the Nazi FEDs and their red state whores will sell you out and will round you up into Walmart-converted -to-FEMA’ Camps. Bye-bye Galt , thanks for playing.

If the US dies in some WWIII cyber-crash and/or war it will instantly become an anarchic hell scene from the book “One Day After” and the individualist ‘Galts’ will not survive – much less re-build in some generation to come- unless they find a collective run by strong military tacticians.
That is your ‘best-case’ scenario, and it will look more like the Band of Brothers at the Battle of the Bulge than some shining ‘brain standard nirvana.’

Perhaps from the ruins of the hellscape we must endure, future generations may carve out the brain standard template you dream about. But that template will not exist in your lifetime or mine. And facing that reality is the first brick in the foundation of the “brain standard” house you/we hope to build.
