Sometime in the next few days a total ban on incandescent bulbs goes into effect and all you will be able to get are expensive LED trash. I hate LED bulbs. The lighting sucks and it emits radio waves that are harmful. I have quite a few fixtures that take halogen bulbs which are also banned. I can’t replace them (nor would I) with LEDs. I will make a trip to the specialty bulb place in town and stock up. FYI if you have specialty bulb stores, they will probably still carry incandescent bulbs because there are industrial needs for them. They just won’t be 99 cents like they used to be. I can remember when they were 4 for a buck.

August 22 I will get a new hip replacement. Until then I’m mostly sitting around or using a walker because my right hip can’t bear weight with a hip spacer in. I’m praying I will stay infection free. That’s the key. Everything else will go well as long as I can avoid any return or new infection.

A justifiable rant, Mary Christine … and, regarding those LEDs, I’ve also been told by my eye-care specialist (I’ve been going to her for 22 years), that blue light is also harmful to our vision — so much so that our eyeglasses need a special filtering to protect us from it.
Yes, and if your eyes don’t need glasses, you can buy blue light glasses just to protect your eyes. Most newer model laptops and computers have blue filters on them already.
For those who are buying LEDs; get them at the opposite end of the “warmth” spectrum and in the 2300K to 2600K range. They are the closest thing to halogen lighting that is offered.
Thanks for the reminder, Mary, I almost forgot to stock up before the end of the month. The LEDs are part of the surveillance and tracking grid and the Internet of Things. The pulsing is most definitely bad for our health. I’ve tried to explain the dangers to others, but no one gets it, it seems silly because they’re just light bulbs. Weaponized light bulbs sounds like something from an old B movie.

Went out the month before 100W bulbs were banned. Bought 80 at several different stores. Stll hae 20 or so. Did the same for 75W.
I guess that is why I have been unable to find any halogen replacements for my cooktop light. I have not seen any incandescent light bulbs in a very long time. I had a hundred or so when they were banned, but have gone through most of them. My wife cannot stand anything but incandescent bulbs in her bathroom.
There is a groundswell to make RFKjr the Democrat nominee to rescue them from their covid and tranny excesses.
