Philadelphia Journalist Who Mocked Concern Over Violent Crime In Democrat Cities Shot Dead In Home
A left-wing Philadelphia journalist who mocked concern over rising crime in Democrat-run cities was shot to death in his home.
Josh Kruger was shot seven times after someone entered his home, shot him at the base of his stairs, and then fled. Kruger ran outside seeking help from his neighbors and collapsed, where police found them after responding to call just before 1:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Watkins Street.
Kruger, 39, was rushed to the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died just before 2:15 a.m.
No arrests have been made, and there was no sign of forced entry into the home, according to Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore.
“Either the door was open, or the offender knew how to get the door open,” he said. “We just don’t know yet.”
Detectives believe his death may have been the result of a domestic dispute or may have been drug-related, according to three law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation, said police investigators recovered troubling text messages between Kruger and a former partner. Investigators also recovered methamphetamine inside Kruger’s bedroom, the sources said. -Inquirer
In April, Kruger – who had struggled with addiction and homelessness – said that an ex-partner had broken into his home.
“The door was locked, so he had somehow obtained a copy of my keys,” he wrote.
Around two weeks ago, Kruger wrote on Facebook that someone came to his house looking for their boyfriend, calling themselves “Lady Diabla, the She-Devil of the streets.”
Kruger frequently mocked conservatives on X, ironically calling Dilbert creator Scott Adams “Nostradamus” on Saturday for predicting that people would be dead “within the year” of Biden’s election.
Kruger also mocked conservatives concerned over the city’s shootings, which he said were “dropping to levels not seen in years.”

He was shot by a .45 but because of the recoil, the shooter couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. If he’d shot him 7 times with a 9mm, he likely would have gotten better results.

I almost bought me a Christensen 300 WM last Friday. Have you shot one? What’s the kick like? I ask because I think it just may be the ultimate long range SHTF gun. I wouldn’t be using it for people or deer.

If it’s a SHTF gun you are looking for, military calibers, Russian and/or America would have been you best choice. I’m talking the 7.62 and 5.56 stuff. You’ll be wanting ammo you can pick up off a battle field and use……just sayin’.

Keep it simple. 12ga 870 pump with a short barrel, normal stock.
The ultimate long range rifle will ALWAYS be the .50 BMG from Barrett for you civilians. Peerless accuracy at over a mile.
An 82a1 with plenty of ammo and a way to reload gives me a warm fuzzy feeling all over.
The 338 is the one for me.
My fave. Insanely accurate out to 600 yds. and
manageable recoil. I have taken all N.A. big game with it.
Instant kill. I use Nostler partition hand loads because
I found the sweet spot with them.
The 300WM is a great round for out west, very popular in MT where I am. They don’t kick too badly, even with the carbon fiber barrel from what I have heard, I haven’t shot a Christensen personally but I have shot lots of 300WM. Check the longevity of the barrel if you are thinking SHTF……I use the 300WSM personally because it made for a slightly lighter more compact rifle for mountain hunting. For SHTF the best rifle is the one that you are most comfortable with in the most common caliber…..arguably a .22lr but .223 or 5.56 is always good. I never carry that .460 revolver anymore…way too heavy, so I downsized to a .44.

Do some investigating of the PRC or Precision Rifle Cartridges the Precision Rifle competitors use. Stuff like 6.5 PRC, 7PRC etc. These games involve hitting man size or smaller targets consistently at ranges of a mile or more. Check the Outdoor Channel listings on Wednesday nights. Every few weeks there will be a segment on one of the shows about PRC competition. Check NRA online too.
300 WM is a great cartridge been elk hunting with mine for a lot of years and never regretted . The recoil is tolerable as long as you don’t do the ultra light BS. But I’d get a .308(7.62) for SHTF ammo is lots cheaper and easily available, the recoil is significantly less and its a damn good all around/ do anything round.
Most 300 Win Mags kick like an evil tempered mule. Listen to Flash.

If you aren’t spending AT LEAST the cost of the gun on a scope,
