Fun fam update – The 4 month old $32K car has been declared totaled. My son is on my shit list now.
On the plus side, I got a great night’s sleep for once and am ripping it up today.

In Boston, on I-93 and I-95, people are routinely driving at 80-85 mph. Not only that, many of these are blacks and hispanics driving like they are playing a video game. I’ve seen weaving through lanes that would stand your hair on end. I’m not letting him drive anything without the best technology, safest airbags, top ratings, and flawless performance. As it was, he walked away without a scratch – the car took the entirety of the impact, which is the point of the car. No way in Hell I would put my only child into a $1K Craigslist special and let him on the roads around Boston with the coloreds who constantly leave a trail of destruction in their wake. I’ve invested the last 23 years of my life into him.

After scammers made off with billions of dollars in pandemic-era emergency loans that were supposed to go to small businesses, the federal agency responsible for running that program is now giving up on getting many borrowers to repay what they owe…
With a wave of defaults seemingly likely, the SBA decided in April to cease collections activities on over 3 million loans that had been distributed through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program, which provided loans of up to $2 million to help business pay expenses incurred due to the pandemic.
… and next they’ll use that to weasel their way into forgiving student loans …

Category 5 storm makes landfall as Acapulco braces for ‘catastrophic’ surge
Hurricane Otis slammed into Mexico early on Wednesday as the strongest ever storm to make landfall on the country’s west coast.
Otis went from a Category 1 to Category 5 hurricane in only 12 hours — the fastest rate ever recorded in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the eye of Otis made landfall close to the resort town of Acapulco around 12.25am local time with winds of 165mph. Forecasters described it as “a nightmare scenario” for southern Mexico.
