One of my go-to guys to get the real story on current events is Scott Ritter . He was one of the people who told W Bush there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, for which he and his family paid a heavy personal price. Undeterred he remains a truth-teller, no matter the consequences. This is a Marine worthy of the title.
In this 30 minute interview he is obviously enraged and disgusted over what Israel is doing to those poor souls in Gaza. Due to the lack of resources doctors are performing operations on children without anesthesia. Not having antibiotics they often have to remove the entire limb to stop the spread of disease, again, without anesthesia. Imagine the mother’s agony. Digging out screaming children buried in the rubble must be done by hand as they are denied fuel and electricity. This is barbarism of the first order and Ritter has had enough. Having no other alternatives to stop the slaughter he calls for the Israeli and American military to be defeated. It’s said with great pain and anguish

Russia is no longer impressed with the US military, and if strikes are launched from US ships, those US ships will turn into reefs at the bottom of the sea.
The US is now in a no win situation. If it goes to war, it loses. If it does not go to war, it simply stands on the sidelines as Russia and China replace it as the worlds dominant powers.
What will the US do? No one knows, because we are not dealing with sane rational people.
