I started reading Matt’s stuff on FR, early 2000s, when he was working on his earlier books. Glad to see some links to RWTTD, too. Another scene from “Ride With the Devil”.

I’ve read nearly all of Matts books and essays. The Enemies Trilogy was before it’s time. The 1st and 3rd books are excellent. The 2nd one takes some time to get into.
I’ve not seen the “Ride with the Devil” film or read the book that inspired the movie, but, after viewing the first 5 minutes, it looks intriguing and possibly worth the 2+ hour watch.
There are parallels worth comparing – particularly regarding human nature during Fourth Turning cataclysms.
