OLDIE BUT GOODIE: 30 BLOCKS OF BACK TO SCHOOL

Most of my 30 Blocks of Squalor articles were accidentally deleted in 2019. Avalon stumbled upon this classic from 2017. She read it to me out loud and I laughed at a number of pithy observations. West Philly did bring out my creative side. If anything, Philly is worse seven years later. Enjoy this throwback to the good old days of TBP

“The problem isn’t that Johnny can’t read. The problem isn’t even that Johnny can’t think. The problem is that Johnny doesn’t know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.”Thomas Sowell

Over the last few weeks there have been a couple mornings where the Schuylkill Expressway was jammed and I had to take my alternative route through the 30 Blocks of Squalor. I hadn’t had this inspiring dystopian experience all summer. There is nothing like West Philly when the punks, punkettes, and future prison convicts finish a summer of not working, not reading, and not picking up the trash in their neighborhoods, go back to West Philly High and not learn again. The observations will be rehashed in a stream of consciousness format, as West Philly is a smorgasbord of squalor, sordidness, filth, apathy, crime and epic government incompetence.

The Fed Is Giving Investors Fair Warning!

Warning!!! stick figure holding big alert sign - Warning concept - The Fed Is Giving Investors Fair Warning! - Miller on the Money

Guest Post by Dennis Miller at Miller On The Money

Richard Maybury provides a realistic assessment:

“…. Everybody is always trying to figure out what these people (The Fed) are afraid of at any given moment, so we can get ready for their actions against it.”

Despite overwhelming evidence that inflation is nowhere close to the Fed’s 2% target, Chairman Powell continues to trumpet three rate cuts before year-end.

Empire Managers Explain Why This New Protest Movement Scares Them

Submitted by Mary Christine

Guest Post by Caitlin Johnstone

The US secretary of state and a Bilderberg surveillance tech oligarch have both made some very interesting admissions about the burgeoning protest movement against the US-backed slaughter in Gaza and the problems it poses for the empire they help run.

During a vitriolic rant about university demonstrators at the Ash Carter Exchange on Innovation and National Security on Tuesday, Palantir CEO Alex Karp came right out and said that if those on the side of the protesters win the debate on this issue, the west will lose the ability to wage wars.

“The Polling Data Has Been Wrong All Along”: Watch Biden Deny Economic Reality In Train-Wreck CNN Interview

Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news,

During a brutal CNN interview aired Wednesday, Joe Biden looked shocked when host Erin Burnett reeled off a list of stats detailing how bad the economy is. Instead of suggesting how he is going to improve the situation, Biden denied any of it was real and claimed every poll showing Americans favouring Trump on the economy is wrong.

“Voters, by a wide margin, trust Trump more on the economy,” Burnett noted, before listing possible reasons for that including the cost of buying a home having doubled, real income accounting for inflation being down, economic growth being way short of expectations and consumer confidence being near a two year low.

THE MACABRE CURSE OF THE ZOGSTERS

Via State of the Nation

Khazarian-installed crazymakers in Congress creating the craziest legislative clusterf*ck in U.S. history.

Submitted by The Armchair Political Analyst

Only AIPAC possesses the raw political power and overwhelming pervasive influence to bribe and blackmail most of the U.S. Congress to push legislation as insane as this: College anti-Israel agitators could be sent to Gaza under new House GOP bill.

Is there anything else to say about the traitors to the American Republic who comprise the ZOG now operating in Washington, D.C.?!

Let Them Destroy Each Other

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Contrary to popular conservative opinion, I don’t want this college chaos to end anytime soon. I want it to increase and metastasize and continue right up until these entitled, ugly, mutated communist jerks totally alienate every normal American. It’s already happening. The frat boys have turned. The normals are turning. At one of these colleges, you had the theater major graduation ceremony invaded by Palesimpians and the parents began chanting, “USA! USA!” Will this and the administrations’ feeble response help flush these institutions’ bloated reputations down the crapper? Yes, please! So, keep it up, communist dipwads. I’m loving this.

Dead Worm Found In RFK Jr.’s Brain Already Polling Higher Than Biden In 11 States

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S. — Following the revelation that a deadly parasite was once removed from his skull, political experts were shocked to learn that the dead worm found in Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s brain was already polling higher than Joe Biden in 11 states.

The latest poll results indicated a large portion of the electorate had abandoned Biden in favor of the deceased parasite that had previously been lodged in RFK Jr.’s brain, leaving the White House scrambling to formulate a strategy to combat the dead worm.

Where is the POTUS?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Biden 2024 Lets finish the jobAmerica needs a strong leader to restore law and order in our society. Our leadership has chosen to create division and cause neighbors to turn on neighbors. We are facing the highest national debt in US history, lower purchasing power, inflation that will not wane, a sharp wave in crime, a housing crisis, two proxy wars with a third on the way, and no one has taken a stand to calm the fear of uncertainty that has caused the people to lose all trust in government.

Nanoplastics Linked to Heart Attacks and Stroke

Via Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • Nanoplastics, particles less than 1 micrometer in size, are a significant environmental and health concern due to their prevalence and potential hazards. Americans could consume up to 3.8 million pieces of micro- and nanoplastics per year from protein sources alone. Infant formula has also been confirmed to contain microplastics
  • Recent research found individuals with microplastics or nanoplastics in their carotid artery tissues have a 353% higher risk of cardiovascular events like heart attacks or strokes than those without microplastics in their arteries
  • Microplastics and nanoplastics in the body can cause oxidative stress, tissue damage, and inflammation, leading to chronic diseases beyond cardiovascular issues
  • To counteract the estrogenic exposure from plastics, progesterone, a natural estrogen antagonist, can be beneficial, with suggestions for its use and administration provided
  • Prevention strategies include minimizing plastic use, opting for alternatives to plastic packaging, using reusable containers, and detoxing through methods like sweating in a sauna to excrete microplastics

Nanoplastics — particles less than 1 micrometer in size, or 1,000th the average width of a human hair — have emerged as a significant environmental concern due to their widespread prevalence and potential health hazards to humans and wildlife alike. These microscopic fragments result from the degradation of larger plastic debris and can also be manufactured directly for various applications.

Putin Is Letting It Get Too Late to Turn Aside from Nuclear Armageddon

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The Russian government including President Putin now publicly acknowledges that Western provocations are increasing in scope and seriousness and are spinning the Ukrainian conflict out of control.

The Russian government has stated that the American F-16 aircraft supplied to Ukraine by the idiotic governments of Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, and Belgium will “be treated as nuclear-capable weapons.”

Dmitry Medvedev, former President of Russia and currently deputy director of the Russian Security Council has declared the West’s leaders to be “infantile morons” whose ignorant arrogance is leading to their destruction.

Virtual Home Invasions: We’re Not Safe from Government Peeping Toms

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

“The privacy and dignity of our citizens is being whittled away by sometimes imperceptible steps. Taken individually, each step may be of little consequence. But when viewed as a whole, there begins to emerge a society quite unlike any we have seen—a society in which government may intrude into the secret regions of man’s life at will.”—Justice William O. Douglas

The spirit of the Constitution, drafted by men who chafed against the heavy-handed tyranny of an imperial ruler, would suggest that one’s home is a fortress, safe from almost every kind of intrusion.

Unfortunately, a collective assault by the government’s cabal of legislators, litigators, judges and militarized police has all but succeeded in reducing that fortress—and the Fourth Amendment alongside it—to a crumbling pile of rubble.

We are no longer safe in our homes, not from the menace of a government and its army of Peeping Toms who are waging war on the last stronghold of privacy left to us as a free people.

The weapons of this particular war on the privacy and sanctity of our homes are being wielded by the government and its army of bureaucratized, corporatized, militarized mercenaries.

The Proof of Censorship is…Censored

Guest Post by Jeffrey A. Tucker

It’s not been a good week for the Censorship Industrial Complex.

The machine has been built and put into action over nearly a decade but largely in secret. Its way of doing business has been via surreptitious contacts with media and tech companies, intelligence carve-outs in “fact-checking” organizations, payoffs, and various other clever strategies, all directed toward boosting some sources of information and suppressing others. The goal has always been to advance regime narratives and curate the public mind.

And yet, based on its operations and insofar as we can tell, it had every intention of remaining secret. This is for a reason. A systematic effort by government to bully private sector companies into a particular narrative while suppressing dissent contradicts American law and tradition. It also violates human rights as understood since the Enlightenment. It was a consensus, until very recently, that free speech was essential to the functioning of the good society.

Welcome to the Warfare State

Guest Post by Doug Casey

War is one of the few things that only the State can do. Indeed, as Randolph Bourne said, “War is the health of the State.” Let’s briefly discuss the nature of the State to see why World War 3 is on the way.

The State is like any other living entity: its prime directive is to survive and grow. Bear in mind that the State—the government—is not at all the same thing as the country or society, even though it claims to be. It’s not “We the People”; it’s a distinct entity with its own discrete interests. And that’s actually too mild an assertion. While individuals and companies prosper by providing goods and services to others through voluntary exchange, the State specializes in coercion.

There’s nothing voluntary about the State. Its main products have always been pogroms, persecutions, confiscations, taxation, inflation, censorship, harassment, repression—and war. The State is not your friend.
