A NUCLEAR POWER CANNOT LOSE A WAR

Guest Post by Dmitry Medvedev

“Some time ago I wrote in my Telegram channel: “A nuclear power cannot lose in war.” Immediately, sniveling Anglo-American lackeys popped up with hysterical cries: “No, that’s not true at all, even the USA has lost wars.” This is an obvious lie. I wasn’t talking about Vietnam, Afghanistan, or dozens of other places where Americans waged colonial wars of conquest. I was writing about historical wars where defending one’s Homeland occurs. Defending one’s land, people, and values. These are the wars nuclear powers have never lost to anyone.

Are we in a countdown to all-out nuclear war?

Guest Post by Gilbert Doctrow

The mood of panelists and presenter on this past Sunday’s Evening with Vladimir Solovyov talk show was deeply pessimistic and the reason had nothing whatever to do with Russia’s situation in its war with Ukraine. On the contrary, feelings about the war were entirely upbeat. The recently published interview in The Economist by Ukrainian commander in chief General Zaluzhny confirmed to the world public the dire prospects facing the Ukrainian army that Russians had been saying among themselves for some time. Indeed, even in Western media it is now estimated that the Ukrainians have lost 10 to 12 soldiers killed or severely maimed on the field of battle to one Russian casualty. The Ukrainians are said to have lost more than 400,000 soldiers and officers. And concurrently, both financial and military aid from the United States and its European allies is becoming problematic.

Russia Tested the Alert System on the Same Day as US

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

It has come to my attention that both the US and Russia held emergency alert tests on Wednesday. Unlike the US, Russia performs these tests regularly. Russia is actively engaged in war, surrounded by NATO and neocons chomping at the bit to invade. Putin has been vocal about his concerns of nuclear war, and at that point, it’s likely too late. One must wonder why both nations chose the same day to run this test.

WASHINGTON IS BEGGING FOR A PREEMPTIVE NUCLEAR ATTACK FROM RUSSIA

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The Washington Dumbshits are encouraging Russia to wipe out the US in a desperate act of self-preservation.

Russian lawmakers have completed an investigation into Washington’s military-related biological activities at laboratories across Ukraine on the basis of findings made public by Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops over the past year.

Washington is working on a “universal” genetically engineered bioweapon designed to cause severe damage to enemies comparable to that of a “nuclear winter,” a Russian parliamentary commission investigating US biolabs in Ukraine has concluded.

How So Many Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Nukes

Guest Post by Edward Curtin

Social psychosis is widespread.  In the words of the British psychiatrist, RD Laing, “The condition of alienation, of being asleep, of being unconscious, of being out of one’s mind, is the condition of the normal man.”

He was not referring to raving, drooling, hitting-your-head-against-the-wall lunacy but a taken-for-granted acceptance of a world long teetering on the edge of nuclear extinction, to take the most extreme example, but surely only one of many.  The insouciant acceptance and support of psychotic rulers who promote first-strike nuclear war is very common.  First strike nuclear policy is United States policy.

I recently wrote an article about the dangers of the fourteen US Trident submarines. These subs constantly cruise under the oceans carrying 3,360 nuclear warheads equivalent to 134,400 Hiroshima bombs.

All are on first strike triggers.  And of course these are supplemented by all the land and air based nukes.

Biden’s 3am Moment in Ukraine

Guest Post by Scott Ritter

In June, Biden was confronted with the ultimate “3am phone call” moment. He could have made a call which would have helped reduce the threat of a nuclear crisis or worse.

During the 2008 Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton ran an ad which sought to diminish her rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Barack Obama, in the eyes of the voters.

Building upon Obama’s lack of experience in national security affairs, and what the potential cost would be should Obama falter at a critical moment, Clinton’s ad sought to make the question personal, setting a scene that could be any home in suburban America at night.

“It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep, but there’s a phone in the White House and it’s ringing. Somethings happening in the world.” The listener was then challenged to decide who was best to answer the call, concluding that the best choice would be someone already “tested and ready to lead in a dangerous world.”

It’s 3 am, the narrator asks, “Who do you want answering the phone?”

The voters chose Obama over Clinton.

BURNING BOOKS IN A BRAVE NEW 1984 WORLD

“Those who don’t build must burn.”Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

Nick Tyrone on Twitter: "This Venn diagram isn't possible. “1984” is set in an authoritarian future in which all pleasure is repressed; “Brave New World” in one where people are provided with

“One believes things because one has been conditioned to believe them.”Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

“Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.” George Orwell, 1984

The Venn diagram above perfectly captures the zeitgeist of our current dystopian world better than any academic drivel disguised as a scientific study or any regime media produced propaganda disguised as journalism. In fact, these three novels capture everything that has gone terribly wrong in our world, and I put the blame at the feet of totalitarian governments and an apathetic fearful populace who went along because it was the easiest path to follow.

These three novels, considered among the top 100 novels ever written, were penned between 1931 and 1953, during three distinct periods, which are reflected in the themes and story lines of their dystopian worlds. They were supposed to be works of fiction, providing warnings of what could happen if we made the wrong choices and trusted the wrong people. Sadly, they became user manuals for today’s authoritarian dictators in how to control, condition and cow a population of indoctrinated sheep, as displayed during the covid pandemic exercise.

Dmitry Trenin: The US and its allies are playing ‘Russian Roulette’. You’d almost think they want a nuclear war

Dmitry Trenin is a research professor at the Higher School of Economics and a lead research fellow at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations. He is also a member of the Russian International Affairs Council.

Dmitry Trenin: The US and its allies are playing 'Russian Roulette'. You'd almost think they want a nuclear war

Professor Sergey Karaganov’s “Tough-but-necessary decision” article – which claims that by using its nuclear weapons, Russia could save humanity from a global catastrophe – has provoked plenty of reaction both at home and abroad. Partly because of the author’s status – he has been an advisor to both President Boris Yeltsin and President Vladimir Putin – and also due to the belief that his opinion may possibly be shared by some people in positions of power.

Dmitry Trenin, an extremely respected Russian expert who served in the Soviet military gives his response.

Putin’s Comments on Nuclear Weapons

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I have listened to so many Western commentators who all downplay Putin at every stage in this insane game.  Putin is well aware that this is NOT a war between Russia and Ukraine, this is a war between the USA and NATO using Ukraine and Europe as its cannon fodder. The United States has been seized by a Neocon Coup. Blinken is a horrible guy and his #1 is Victoria Nuland whose family is not just biased against Russia, they have Ukrainian roots and are carrying out a conflict of interests.

RUSSIA’S NUCLEAR OPTION
BECOMING A GRIM REALITY

SOTN Editor’s Note: While it took President Putin et al. way too long time to stop calling their Western counterparts “partners”, it now appears that the Kremlin correctly understands they’re dealing with their most dangerous mortal enemies of all time.  Not only that, but the stark geopolitical analysis posted below clearly indicates that Russia is currently facing the most grave existential threats of its entire history, even greater than the utterly devastating Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.

Furthermore, Moscow finally seems to grasp the sheer evil and demonic malevolence of the Khazarian clique of incorrigibly corrupt sociopaths and criminally insane psychopaths who populate the highest echelons of the Zio-Anglo-American Axis power structure.  Not only that, but the decision-makers in the Kremlin also see that the exceedingly perilous predicament in Ukraine will require a show of force that scares the bejesus out of the Western power elite.

Does Putin Want Nuclear War?

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

US senator wants ‘nuclear war’ – Moscow

American politicians are inciting an “apocalyptic conflict,” Russia’s envoy has warned

What is the point of these endless Russian complaints?  Will the Kremlin ever understand that it is the Kremlin’s failure to use sufficient force to terminate a conflict whose ever-widening character threatens to end in nuclear war?  Why does the Kremlin refuse to understand an obvious situation?  Where is the Russian Army?

Ready to Die for Ukraine? Russia Warns of Nuclear Annihilation

Guest Post by Gerald Celente

FILE: Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president, warned of a nuclear ‘apocalypse’ during a recent interview. (Twitter)

Last week, in an article published in Izvestia newspaper, the former president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev warned of a nuclear ‘apocalypse’ if NATO and the U.S. continued to ramp up the Ukraine War.

Noting that the West and its “satellites” represent only 15 percent of the world’s population, he wrote it is “delusional” if they think that, “after putting the Soviet Union to rest, it’ll be able to also bury modern Russia without significant problems for itself, by throwing the lives of thousands of people involved in the conflict [in Ukraine] into the furnace,” and that those are “extremely dangerous misconceptions.”

The now deputy chair of the Russian Security Council also noted that “If the issue of the very existence of Russia is raised seriously, it won’t be decided on the Ukrainian front. [It’ll be decided] together with the issue of the further existence of the entire human civilization.”

Do Not Fear Nuclear War – You Can Survive!

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

This illustration shows the radius of a 100-megatonne nuclear bomb dropped on New York City. Nuclear War will not destroy the planet. Look at Japan. Both Hiroshima and Nagasaki have proven that the “science” claimed that those cities would be uninhabitable for a thousand years after a nuclear war was wrong. Their populations doubled in 20 years after being nuked? Hiroshima now has 9 times its 1945 population.

A Nano-second to Midnight

A Nano-second to Midnight

Gilbert Doctorow, an Intelligent and Informed Russian Expert Explains that It Is Indeed a Nano-second to Midnight.  This is an extremely important warning, which like my own is likely to be ignored at our peril.  In no Western capital or print and TV media has any recognition been given to the consequence of the extremely reckless and dangerous continuing provocations of Russia.  The American neoconservative attack on Russia is the most insane folly in human history.  The Kremlin has encouraged the provocations by accepting them and by prolonging a conflict that should have been a quick victory in order to prevent US and NATO involvement from widening the conflict.  The situation has unfolded precisely as I predicted, and now Doctorow says we have reached the breaking point.

The pitiful Western peoples, so uninvolved, so unaware, so betrayed by their leaders.  They have no idea what is coming at them.

Let’s talk about nuclear war

Guest Post by Ruben Bauer Naveira

Let’s talk about nuclear war

The United States and Russia – the two greatest nuclear powers on the planet – have embarked on a wide-ranging “indirect war”. All that now remains is for them to engage in direct warfare, which will end up happening sooner or later. If later, it will be exactly because both powers are aware that any direct war between them will inevitably escalate into nuclear war, with a good chance of devastating them both.

How we reached this point will not be examined in depth here. Very briefly, both parties regard this as a struggle for existence – Russia, in order to continue to exist as a nation (in Putin’s words, “there is no compromise, a country is either sovereign or a colony”), and the United States, to continue to exist as the nation with hegemony over the rest (the US economy has become so reliant on that hegemony that its end would entail the country’s collapse).

Accordingly, both are willing to take the conflict to its ultimate consequences in order to prevail, and thus nuclear war becomes more inevitable with every passing day.
