The Transformative Potential of ChatGPT in Learning and Efficiency

Via Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • The fear of new technologies, be it calculators or ChatGPT, often stems from a lack of understanding and apprehension in the face of change. In the case of ChatGPT, we are witnessing a phase where initial fears are predominantly based on misconceptions about AI taking over human tasks entirely
  • While a 2013 study by the University of Oxford predicted that 47% of the American workforce might be replaced by AI over the next two decades, that prediction is unlikely to come to pass. Because AI hallucinations are a permanent feature, the need for human judgment will remain whenever and wherever AI is used
  • ChatGPT is designed to be a tool that augments human capabilities. It can facilitate various tasks, like generating ideas, composing texts, coding and more
  • ChatGPT is akin to a pipeline, channeling vast amounts of information and insights to disseminate knowledge more broadly. This efficiency is not about replacing human action but enhancing it, allowing individuals to focus on aspects of their work that require uniquely human attributes like empathy, strategic thinking and creativity
  • Six key precautions when using ChatGPT and other generative AIs are discussed

In an era where technological advancements are revolutionizing every aspect of our lives, ChatGPT emerges as a beacon of innovation, especially in the realms of learning and efficiency.

AI and the new kind of propaganda

Guest Post by Johan Eddebo

Do you remember how the unconstitutional, pastel-authoritarian and totally batshit insane “Disinformation Governance Board” – with its Mary Poppins-cosplaying, Monty Python level of unintentional self-satirizing department head – was rolled out two years ago like a half-joke, half-beta-test of a version of the 1984 Ministry of Truth?

Well, kids, I wouldn’t really call this 4D chess or anything, but of course this was just bait. This parody and its rapid withdrawal reassures us that nothing of the sort could conceivably take place, while also seeding a visible, red-herring template for how we should expect heavy-handed, overt propaganda efforts to look in this day and age.

FOBO? The WEF Predicts 44% Of Human Skills Will Be Replaced By AI In Five Years

Via ZeroHedge

If there was ever a moment in history when globalists have been unable to contain their unsettling glee it was the moment that Artificial Intelligence became a focus of public discourse.  It’s clear that the World Economic Forum worships AI – Lavishing the technology with praise and describing it as the end-all-be-all of human industry.  AI, they claim, will change the world so rapidly that most people will not be able to keep up with the advancements.

We have yet to see any of these advancements in the real world, of course.  In fact, it’s difficult to pinpoint any tangible benefits produced by AI so far other than making it easier for college kids to cheat on essays.  And here is where we run into a disconnect between what the WEF predicts and what is most likely to happen according to the evidence.

How the AI Revolution Will Change Your Retirement Plans

From Peter Reagan at Birch Gold Group

There is a phrase you will hear a lot over the coming decade: Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Not that you haven’t heard it already. But thanks to multiple major breakthroughs in 2017, like how language is used across different AI development efforts, innovation has accelerated at a breakneck pace.

And there’s no sign of it slowing down.

The AI revolution only needed six years to start causing serious economic disruption. It’s already starting to replace jobs fairly quickly:

According to a recent report of 750 business leaders using AI from ResumeBuilder, 37% say the technology replaced workers in 2023. Meanwhile, 44% report that there will be layoffs in 2024 resulting from AI efficiency.

AI-pocalypse Now

Submitted by Bob P

“AI-Pocalypse is fascinating . . . and scary. Not necessarily scary like Terminator–though that seems to be a possibility–but scary in that there’s no good defense against the massive fraud this could unleash. Examples given of AI impersonating a person’s voice and image lead one to think we’re all screwed. For instance, we could get a video call from AI impersonating our child saying he needs thousands of dollars immediately.

Or your bank could release all your funds to an AI “you” via the internet. Or it could cause divorces if evil people program your spouse in bed without someone else (along with the potential for blackmail). Then there’s the issue of making a great majority of workers obsolete. Most of the tech is here right now to do all this, and it’s constantly getting better. How will we make a living? How will we protect what we have? There are no answers at the moment.

AI & Self-Awareness

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Let me explain something. Most generative AI models today are being trained and run in the cloud. These models are language-oriented, generating text. They are often at least 10 times to 100 times bigger than older AI models. ChatGPT is learning from the question people are asking. While this is impressive to the average person, there is no real economic value other than adding to the search function. This has resulted in a boom along with an insatiable appetite for running large language models at this point in time.

Elon Musk Puts Brakes on CISA Censorship

Via Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • On July 1, 2023, Elon Musk announced new limits to the number of Twitter posts users could view in a day
  • While much pushback has ensued from users, this move is actually a major win for your privacy and online freedom
  • Musk stated the view limits were applied “to address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation”
  • The lack of viewing limits on Twitter allowed censorship entities to scrape massive numbers of tweets so they could quickly and comprehensively control public conversations online
  • The limits cut off intelligence agencies’ “censorship death star” — AI — at the knees

July 1, 2023, Elon Musk announced new limits to the number of Twitter posts users could view in a day. The number varied by user, with verified accounts initially able to read 6,000 posts a day, unverified accounts 600 posts a day and new unverified accounts 300 per day.1

The number has fluctuated since, increasing to 10,000, 1,000 and 500, respectively,2 but the sentiment is the same. Gone are the days where unlimited post viewing was possible — at least temporarily. While much pushback has ensued from users, there’s a reason why this move is actually a major win for your privacy and online freedom. It’s stopped mega censorship operatives in their tracks.

“I Warned You Guys In 1984… And You Didn’t Listen” – Director James Cameron Highlights Fears Of AI Takeover

Via ZeroHedge

Director James Cameron claims he tried to warn people about the dangers posed by artificial intelligence (AI) in his 1984 movie “The Terminator” but that his concerns fell on deaf ears.

In a CTV News interview, the “Titanic” and “Avatar” director said he saw this problem coming a long time ago and is surprised that people are just now beginning to notice the dangers lurking ahead.

“I warned you guys in 1984, and you didn’t listen,” he said.

Cameron added that that he “absolutely” shares the general consensus among various AI experts that rapidly advancing technology needs to be regulated to ensure it does not pose a threat to humanity.

  • Rather than squabbling about controlled opposition, we would be better served by spending our time productively engaged in research, verifying and triangulating information to discern what is true and what is false
  • “Divide and conquer” is the primary way the control network maintains control, and all that’s needed to divide a previously unified front is insinuation and the seeding of doubt
  • As AI-equipped chatbots are getting more sophisticated and start to monopolize online searches and virtual assistants, state-endorsed propaganda may become the only information available
  • Narrative is the ultimate weapon; with a convincing-enough narrative, you can motivate entire populations to go to war or anything else that you want them to do
  • One of the most important strategies you can implement to prepare yourself for the likelihood of what they plan on throwing at us next lies with community, meeting like-minded people that share your views and complement your skills. It will also be wise to relocate from high density urban areas

In this video, I interview investigative journalist James Corbett about false narratives, the global takeover by technocracy, controlled opposition and the dangers of artificial intelligence, as well as the solutions to these and other challenges.

The Dangers of Artificial General Intelligence

Via Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • OpenAI’s ChatGPT is the most rapidly adopted tech platform in history, acquiring more than 1 million users in the first five days. Less than two months after its public release, it had more than 100 million users
  • ChatGPT uses machine learning to generate human-like responses in everyday language to any question asked
  • While AI platforms like ChatGPT are neutral in and of themselves, it’s clear that they will soon become an integral part of the globalist control grid. In short order, chatbots will replace conventional search engines, giving you only one purported “correct” answer. As a result, true learning, and hence personal development, will essentially cease
  • Dangerous bias is only the beginning of the problems that artificial general intelligence (AGI) might bring. Ultimately, even the technocrats that aim to use AGI for their own nefarious purposes might not be able to control it
  • Already, AGI is capable of writing near-flawless computer code. As it gets better, it will eventually start writing, and potentially rewriting, its own code. AGI poses an existential threat to humanity because 1) no one will be able to contradict the AI once it’s in charge of most societal functions, and 2) no one will be able to control how it will use its ever-expanding capabilities

In the video above, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, discusses the exponential advancements in artificial general intelligence (AGI), spearheaded by OpenAI and DeepMind, which is owned by Google.

Turley Defamed By ChatGPT: My Own Bizarre Experience With The Artificiality Of “Artificial Intelligence”

Authored by Jonathan Turley,

Yesterday, President Joe Biden declared that “it remains to be seen” whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) is “dangerous.” I would beg to differ.

I have been writing about the threat of AI to free speech.

Then recently I learned that ChatGPT falsely reported on a claim of sexual harassment that was never made against me on a trip that never occurred while I was on a faculty where I never taught. ChapGPT relied on a cited Post article that was never written and quotes a statement that was never made by the newspaper. When the Washington Post investigated the false story, it learned that another AI program “Microsoft’s Bing, which is powered by GPT-4, repeated the false claim about Turley.” It appears that I have now been adjudicated by an AI jury on something that never occurred.

When contacted by the Post, “Katy Asher, Senior Communications Director at Microsoft, said the company is taking steps to ensure search results are safe and accurate.

That is it and that is the problem.

Is AI Dangerous?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Back in 2015, I addressed the concern then of Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk who were worried about what might happen as a result of advancements in Artificial Intelligence. They’re concerned that robots could grow so intelligent that they could independently decide to exterminate humans. Today, it has only gotten worse with GPT-4 open for everyone to try. In doing so, they are training the computer and expanding its knowledge base. Musk, with a gaggle of others, have penned a letter calling for a “pause” in AI development.

“Powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable.”

On the sudden acceleration of artificial intelligence

Guest Post by Alex Berenson

And what our failed experiment with mRNA jabs tells us about the risks we are running as for-profit companies play with ever-more advanced technology

In 1994, I had the good luck to take a seminar about artificial intelligence at Yale University with David Gelernter, a computer scientist best known for helping envision what at the time was called the World Wide Web.

I’m not very connected to Yale these days. Its anti-free-speech stance disgusts me. The feeling seems to be mutual. A lot of my former classmates prefer to pretend I don’t exist. My stance on Covid and the vaccines is so far outside the norm for the good wokesters who populate Yale that some part of me feels I didn’t even go there anymore, that my diploma has been invisibly revoked.

Which is too bad, because – the miserable politics aside – Yale offered an amazing education, or at least the chance for one.

And it was possible, back in the 1990s, to put the miserable politics aside.
