“AI-Pocalypse is fascinating . . . and scary. Not necessarily scary like Terminator–though that seems to be a possibility–but scary in that there’s no good defense against the massive fraud this could unleash. Examples given of AI impersonating a person’s voice and image lead one to think we’re all screwed. For instance, we could get a video call from AI impersonating our child saying he needs thousands of dollars immediately.
Or your bank could release all your funds to an AI “you” via the internet. Or it could cause divorces if evil people program your spouse in bed without someone else (along with the potential for blackmail). Then there’s the issue of making a great majority of workers obsolete. Most of the tech is here right now to do all this, and it’s constantly getting better. How will we make a living? How will we protect what we have? There are no answers at the moment.
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. Eyes: Until you see a seven year peace treaty signed, or the four horsemen not just approaching, but carrying out their purpose, any date speculation is premature and should not be followed. The horseman might be at the door now. Or it might be another two thousand years. Well meaning Christians (and perhaps not just a few charlatans) have been setting dates for over a thousand years, and by doing so, have not done any favors to Christ, setting us up for ridicule every time their date has passed. The only person pleased by this has been Satan. You can be sure that one day Jesus will return. You can’t be sure when that date will be.
Good to know. It will make me teach all those close to me to have a test word to say if I get an emergency call. Just work a predetermined word or phrase into the conversation to let me know who I’m really talking to. Five years ago I got a call from someone calling herself a favored cousin claiming she was desperate for a grand. As kids we both vacationed at a Connecticut beach. I asked the caller to name the beach. She couldn’t do it. Problem solved.

Nope. It’s artificial and it might be able to find things on the internet a lot fast than us but it’s never going to match human intelligence.
