Alice’s Adventures in ‘Wokeland’

Down the Babbitt hole

(For what happened on Jan6th was the greatest of fantasies)

One fine Juneteenth day Alice was hanging around with her sister. Her sister was reading a book atop a rock in a big open field…..It was a strange tome with a big beautiful rainbow on the cover and titled “My Two Moms.” How could that be possible she wondered? She was thinking of collecting some sweetgrass and fashioning a nice basket which her ‘one’ mom could put fruit in and place on the kitchen counter when all of a sudden a big black rabbit ran by her, startling her because she had never seen a big black rabbit before. The rabbit sensing her consternation blurted out….”Don’t look so surprised child, don’t you know that all black rabbit lives matter…woke up girl.’

The Masonic Key

Walt Disney was born in Chicago, in 1901 and moved with his family to Kansas City in 1910. Walt’s obsession with escapism, imagination, magic, and animals were forged on their Kansas City farm under the repressive, abusive, cruel and loveless tyranny of his father who would allegedly march them to the woodshed and dispense his brutal punishments daily.

“Young Disney joined DeMolay in 1920, as the 107th member of the original Mother Chapter of DeMolay in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 19 years old.” DeMolay International, founded in 1919, is an international fraternal organization for boys 12 to 21. It was named for Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. DeMolay is considered to be part of the general “family” of Masonic organizations.

Frank “Dad” Land, the founder of the Order of DeMolay, was honored with the Knight Commander of the Court of Honor of the Scottish Rite and coroneted a 33rd degree in 1925. Each DeMolay chapter must be sponsored by a local masonic body. The sponsoring body is responsible for providing the chapter with adult advisors. Walt received the DeMolay Legion of Honor in 1931, the highest attainable degree, corresponding to that of a 33rd degree Mason.

Wall Street is firmly in Wonderland

Guest Post by Edward Chancellor

LONDON (Reuters Breakingviews) – Alice was tired of studying for the CFA exams, the figures in the spreadsheet were blurry, she laid her head on the desk…

Her first day at Tweedle Asset Management was going to be a busy one. She was escorted around the offices by a young staffer named Otto. Their first visit was to the bond team. Fixed income was Alice’s keenest interest.

“Do you hold bonds for income?” she eagerly asked. Everyone laughed. “Are you dreaming?” the desk head replied rudely. “The coupon is subtracted from the principal, not paid out. If it’s income you want, you should take out a Danish mortgage, they pay very well. Or sell short Swissies.”

“But why own a bond, if it doesn’t pay interest?” replied Alice, who’d read her Homer and Sylla assiduously.
