Belarus Looking for War with Lithuania

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The embers of war are igniting. Everyone is using the ongoing turmoil as an opportunity to attack their enemies. Belarus and Lithuania are akin to Russia and Ukraine in that the people living there have many genetic and cultural similarities. Lithuania has partnered with the West, joining NATO in 2004, while Belarus has shown loyalty to Russia. The two nations share a 420-mile border (680 km) with six border crossings, but Lithuania implemented “temporary” closures to a number of crossings due to “geopolitical circumstances.”

Ever since President Vladimir Putin’s Dec.19 visit to Belarus, there have been persisting fears of a major new offensive on Ukraine being readied from the north with Belarusian army help. This as Russian heavy equipment has continued to be transferred to Belarusian territory.

Ukraine war must end to prevent nuclear ‘abyss’, Lukashenko

Via Yahoo News

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko Thursday said Russia, Ukraine and the West must agree to halt the Ukraine conflict to avoid the “abyss of nuclear war” and insisted Kyiv should accept Moscow’s demands.

“We must stop, reach an agreement, end this mess, operation and war in Ukraine,” Lukashenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top ally, told AFP in an exclusive interview in Minsk.

“Let’s stop and then we will figure out how to go on living,” he said during the one-hour interview at the Palace of Independence.

“There’s no need to go further. Further lies the abyss of nuclear war. There’s no need to go there,” he said, speaking on the 148th day of Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine.

Lukashenko accused the West of seeking a conflict with Russia and of provoking the Ukraine war.

“You have fomented the war and are continuing it,” he said.

Russia To Transfer Nuclear-Capable Missiles To Belarus “Within Months”: Putin

Via ZeroHedge

At a moment US media and much of the West is consumed with the historic Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Russian President Vladimir Putin just issued what’s possibly the most alarming and escalatory statement thus far in the four-month long Ukraine war.

On Saturday Putin for the first time informed his close ally Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that he has approved supplying Belarus with nuclear capable long-range missiles. Minsk has long offered to host Russian nukes as a ‘deterrent’ against the West – a prospect which Lukashenko had very provocatively offered even in the months leading up to the Feb.24 invasion of Ukraine. This move will likely be viewed from Washington as a first step in moving toward a heightened nuclear posture in Eastern Europe.

Belarus Votes to Change Constitution & Deploy Nuclear Weapons

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I do not know what to say anymore. Biden is mentally incompetent to lead the world no less the United States. He could not find a lifejacket on a sinking ship. Belarus has now voted to change its constitution and deploy nuclear weapons. China entered a new arrangement with North Korea and they shot off a missile test today.

Some emails have come in saying my posts that we are opening the door to World War III was an exaggeration, I am sorry if my sources are real and I do not engage in hyperbole. This Western Press is so incompetent and it is so up the Democrats’ ass, they will never see what they are doing is fanning the flames of war.

Russia & Belarus Say US-Backed “Assassination” & “Coup” Attempt Against Lukashenko Thwarted

Via ZeroHedge

Russian and Belarusian state sources are alleging that a major assassination and “coup” attempt of Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko has been thwarted by security services, which has further been dubbed in state media as an “armed insurrection” attempt which may have had the backing of the United States.

However, details surrounding the alleged ‘plot’ remain murky and it doesn’t appear that anything actually close to an ‘insurrection’ ever got off the ground. Instead, multiple Belarussian officials were reportedly arrested on vague suspicions of treasonous plotting. Russia’s FSB is also widely reported to have detained two conspirators in Moscow for their association with the plot.

“Several people, including two in Russia, have been arrested for allegedly plotting an armed insurrection against the Belarusian president,” RT describes of the Belarusian media reports. “He claims that the US may have sanctioned the assassination attempt.”
