If for some reason what I write displeases you all that much, if we cannot agree to disagree, if you cannot bear to hear even reasoned criticism of something because you are so emotionally invested in it, then it is probably better not to read it here and feel all put out.  Can you not bear to know that some people do not agree with you?  Well, there seems to be a lot of that going around.

Misrepresentation Matters

Anyone who happened to stumble upon the show Grease Live last night on Fox may have noticed something interesting. Half the main characters who were white in the original movie were now black or hispanic. Yes, an integrated 1950’s high school where black girls were with white guys and black guys were with white girls is a very accurate portrayal of the times. Right? The propaganda is relentless.

Attached is the cover of the new Pitsco Education (science supplies) catalog that I just got this morning in the mail.

Even Education is going in that direction. Oof. I’ve been teaching high school science and education for 32 years, and I’ve never seen a classroom that looks like that. Ever.
