Large American cities, the vast majority of which are run entirely by Democrats, are deteriorating before our eyes; and the phenomenon is not due to the COVID pandemic. New York City is in rapid decay, reverting to its pre-Rudolph Giuliani condition as Mayor Bill DeBlasio is more concerned about wokeness and virtue-signaling than he is about effectively running the city’s government. In San Francisco and Los Angeles, homelessness is out of control, their treasuries are effectively broke, and residents have been fleeing in record numbers. And in Portland, Mayor Ted Wheeler has stood by as riots have been ravaging the city for almost a year now, with empty hotels across the city as tourists stay away in droves.
There are dozens of cities we could examine to illustrate the failure of Democrat policies, but Philadelphia may be the most fascinating to consider. It’s the birthplace of our Republic, but if you’re planning a visit to Independence Hall in the near future and you value your safety, you may want to reconsider. It was the home and final resting place of Betsy Ross, the creator of our Great Flag, but many Philadelphians would apparently rather burn the flag at a Black Lives Matter protest than respect it. And while Philadelphia has long been considered a mecca for those seeking an education (as home to Temple University, Drexel University, and the Ivy League’s University of Pennsylvania, among others), the city’s public school system is in rapid decline.

Police in Philadelphia discovered a van packed with explosives and other “suspicious equipment” as a third night of rioting and looting gripped the city on Wednesday.
ABC 6 reported that “police recovered propane tanks, torches and possible dynamite sticks from the van.”
The report adds that “The bomb squad is on the scene at this hour.”

This story doesn’t fit the left wing media narrative. Beak nosed mayor Kenney immediately calls for tougher gun laws. Philly already has tough gun laws. It seems this diverse scumbag didn’t obey the strict gun laws. How dastardly. Let’s make the gun laws tougher. If the bleeding heart Democrats who have run Philly since 1955 actually kept criminals in prison, these 6 cops wouldn’t have been shot. Kenney runs a dangerous, bankrupt, corrupt, shithole of a city. Local media is reporting that six Philadelphia police officers were shot Wednesday afternoon in the northern part of the city near Temple University.
One of the officers was reportedly shot in the head and is in critical condition. The critically wounded officer was reportedly conscious when he was taken from the scene.
CBS 3 is reporting that none of the wounds are life threatening.
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) – Philadelphia police say a 5-year-old boy and his 14-year-old sister were wounded in a shooting while trick-or-treating in the city’s Olney section.
It happened on the 5700 block of Hope Street around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, where a bucket filled with candy laid spilled onto the ground into the morning.
The 5-year-old was shot once in the left leg and the 14-year-old suffered a graze wound to the right leg. Both victims were taken to Einstein Hospital where they are listed in stable condition. Both are expected to survive.
