KNOW YOUR ENEMY

“The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks.”

Lord Acton

Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Corp. are considered broker-dealers by SNL and so did not make the list. But if added back in, Lloyd Blankfein would have beat out everyone for the top spot with compensation of nearly $20 million. Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman made $14.4 million last year and would have squeezed into the number 7 spot, above Moynihan.

In 2013, the median total for CEOs at 617 banks rose by 48% from 2009.

The financiers seem to have everything locked up pretty well, that and their willing accomplices in the federal government. Carter was the last POTUS to even attempt to control the federal bureaucracy, where it’s so out of control now there’s no turning back, and it’s either them or us. When that day comes, they should lay their arms down peaceably. What would happen if a war is declared, and no one showed up? But there will be a catalyst at some point which may cause civil unrest, and it will be at a time and choosing of these global elite. This assumes a nefarious conspiracy, or are we being led by the nature of man. To be sure, this is what is being manipulated, but to what end? If man is smart enough to build great societies and great structures, does he possess enough intelligence not to destroy himself? When then, does one owe to society, or civilization? Apparently, lies are owed, at least judging from what we are witnessing. Will no one stand up and declare themselves? It’s not enough for one, but for all. But such is the nature of the true enemy, whom Jesus Christ exposed once and for all.

It struck me yesterday that these oligarchs wouldn’t get involved in sports franchises, unless they could own all the teams, thereby guaranteeing victory for themselves.

Such is the meaning of fair play to these misers, as much as it exists in the world.

To carry the sports analogy a step further, athletics were devised to keep military combatants in good physical conditioning during times of peace.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ESV)

and,

“For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written,

“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”

So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

(Romans 14:10b-12 ESV)

God will be their judge.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”(Ephesians 6:12 ESV)
