The source seems to be a questionable authority since it has an interest in producing particular results which could lead to a prejudiced analysis of restricted (cherry picked) information.

Regardless…it is a rigged system to rip people off.
I was on the “inside” and when questioning ordering a very
expensive procedure, (one the patient could not cooperate for
or tolerate) the answer was “revenue building.” Unethical $-wise,
and a crime against the unwitting patient. Can’t pay? They will take
your house. Imagine what they do with the indigent. Bill for
procedures that aren’t even performed.

Suzanna- Correct me if I am wrong but the other day I thought I heard them say 36 million Americans have no healthcare insurance which is more than double the 15 million they were moaning and whaling about in the first place. So, if you have many extra millions of people not in the mix I would think doctors would be adding in everything but the kitchen sink to raise some revenue to keep those McMansion payments paid and the BMW’s still need that 4K service bill covered.
They (doctors) don’t really care how much they are charging now do they?
