THE ONLY CANDIDATE WITH A REAL PLAN

I watched the GOP debate last night. Here are my impressions:

  • Perry came across as a very angry man. I really thought he and Romney were going to physically attack each other over the illegal immigrant accusations. If Perry were to be elected president, I would say the chances of World War III would be 75% during his term. He’s scary.
  • Romney did his usual smooth talking. He manages to take both sides of every issue. I was left with the vision of 50 illegal Mexicans with lawnmowers descending upon his 1,000 acre palatial estate. Then him acting like he understands the plight of the middle class.
  • Herman Cain was absolutely shellshocked by the beatdown he received regarding his ridiculous 999 plan. Giving politicians a new sales tax without eliminating the income tax is like locking up a 5 year old in a candy store. Cain’s 999 plan will become 12 12 12 and then 15 15 15 and before long 25 25 25. He denied what he had said just a few hours before. The man has absolutely no problem with lying, as he proved when Ron Paul confronted him at the last debate. Lying is a great trait in a President.
  • John Huntsman seemed quiet. Where the fuck was he? He has higher poll numbers than that jackoff Santorum.
  • Michelle Bachman scared the living shit out of me. She is absolutely clueless. If she tells me one more time that she raised 23 foster kids, I might go ballistic. She is vacuous.
  • Rick Santorum essentially foams at the mouth and pretends to be a good Catholic, but wants to blow up or invade every country in the Middle East. He cares deeply about marriage and the American families, but he has no problem shooting missiles at Muslim families.
  • Newt Gingrich is the smartest guy on the stage. That is clear to anyone being unbiased. He understands the problems. He knows how to get things done in Washington. He even seems to be softening his stance on war mongering. His personal baggage and smugness will never allow him to get enough support from the Republican base.
  • I thought that Ron Paul had his best performance yet. Whenever the other idiots would talk about how they are going to fix the problems with new programs and more government intervention, he brought them back to the reality of our debt, the Federal Reserve created inflation and our Empire. He has proposed a budget plan that will balance the books in three years. None of the other jackoffs would dare propose something so concrete. I loved his response to the OWS question. His views are 90% aligned with the views of the people at OWS. He was always against the bailouts. He has always been against the Federal Reserve, which is owned by the Wall Street banks. He was always against the wars that have bankrupted our country. Ron Paul is the candidate of OWS. Here is a video of his best moments.

I missed the debate and read the CNN recap. The only way I knew Ron Paul was even there was that CNN dutifuly reported his objection to Cain asinine tax plan.

The reason the revolution won’t be televised is because the TV news folks are going to be hiding from the mob along with their paymasters.

PERRY

Considering how he wears his Christianity on is sleeve ….. he comes across as the least Christian amongst all the candidates. Angry, yes. And, bitter. And, small. And, vindictive. And worst of all someone you cannot trust. Whatever chance he had to redeem hmself was blown last night.

ROMNEY

Finally grew some balls and fought back. I liked that. I think he’ll be the likely Last Man Standing.

CAIN

If I hear one more time how “I’m a businessman so I solve problems” I will throw my flatscreen at him, bad back and all. The motherfucker can’t even pronounce e-KUNo-me. He keeps saying people should go to his website and read his plan. WTF?? … dumabass can’t even exaplain it himself???? Dumbest cocksucker in the room … said the banks were NOT responsible for the mess we’re in … it’s ALL Obama’s fault. Much as I hate Obama, Cain is full of shit.

BACHMAN

My back is STILL killing me. I jerked off when she spoke to kill the pain.

SANTORUM

Fake Fake Fake. He said he wouldn’t reduce spending by even one penny. Really. Has a plan to bomb all counties of the world starting alphabetically. Too bad for Azerbijan … not so bad for Zimbabwe.

GINGRICH

Again with some of the funniest lines. I wish I didn’t hate him so much in his previous incarnation. And yes, he has more baggage than a Jewish princess going on a day trip.

RON PAUL

Actually cracked a smile when Anderson read through the list of government agencies he’s shut down. This gave we a woody. Which came in handy next time Bachman spoke. The SMARTEST guy on the platform, and that’s not a lie. Unfortunately, dumbass Americans probably won’t give him a chance.

If they came up with a Gingrich / Paul ticket, with either on top, I’d get off my ass and vote.

Anything short of that, I’ll sit home and watch it all burn down.

Not only will American dumbass’s not give Paul a chance, republicans will not give him a chance.

I’m with smokey, we’re screwed, we’re going to burn. It’s probably too late for Paul to change anything anyway, he’s just one man.
Rather than piss and moan about what should be done to save America, we may as well spend that time getting ready for the fires.

But I wont, I can’t quit. I’ll kick and scream, I’ll keep sending money to Ron Paul, I’ll keep spreading the message that there is one candidate that while he wont have all the answers, he does have some answers. We just need America to get on board, maybe a combination of Tea Party and OWS will do the trick?

One thing I really like about Ron Paul is his humility. He gives me the warm fuzzy’s.
The other candidates give me too much pucker factor.

Paul did very well in this debate. He needs to keep getting very aggressive. Wow, it looks like Smokey is slowly acknowledging that Paul is our best choice. I still believe that these debates will continue to hurt everyone except Paul. Perry is fading away and Cain is getting a beat down. Romney is playing both sides in a sneaky way so he is somehow still staying at the top. I want to make a point on Cain. Cain is a liar but he seems to think that being a businessman is going to get him the ticket. Peter Schiff wrote a nice article on Cain’s 9-9-9 plan and he made an interesting comment about approaching government as a business. If Cain tries to treat government like a business, we are going to have a much bigger government. Isn’t it the goal of business to increase profits and gain more market share for the benefit of shareholders and stakeholders? We can’t treat government like a business since we need a smaller more limited government not a larger one. Cain’s philosophy will produce a much bigger government. Cain is an idiot and he is toast. His 9-9-9 plan was cute at first but when everyone learned the details of the plan, he was fucked.

Agree with OP and comments, especially Cards. But take heart in the fact that the man everyone ignores has set much of the agenda. Reps wouldn’t even be talking about the Fed, eliminating agencies or cutting military spending if RP hadn’t been championing those issues for years. Too bad none of the others really want to fix anything, but at least they are going on record discussing those subjects.

jmarz,

Read for comprehension. Please don’t try to put words in my mouth.

For the most part, the republican lineup eats shit. I think Romney, Gingrich and Paul each have some good traits.

I would accept a Paul ticket, if Gingrich was VP.

I would accept a Gingrich ticket, if anyone was VP.

I have not said Paul is the best choice, although he is the best choice among most of the idiots running.

There are two utterly immutable factors that you have proven time and again fall far beyond your level of comprehension.

(1) Neither Newt Gingrich nor Ron Paul have a fucking prayer. If either was awarded the Republican nomination by default THIS INSTANT, they would lose handily to either Obama or Hillary.

(2) If the one in ninety quadrillion chance happened and either did make it to the POTUS, it is TOO FUCKING LATE.

Economic catastrophe will be experienced in this country on a grand scale in the next few years.

Administrator,

Yes, I have every intention of standing idly by and watching the implosion. I have never been real big on lost causes and I’m not going to start down that road now.

Maybe I’d try to save the world, if I could figure out a way to shit about a hundred trillion $, which is about how much money this country is upside down.

I will not rejoice in the economic chaos ahead of us. But you and I both know the economic situation is mathematically hopeless.

The system will crash and reset in a few years, not because of OWS, but in spite of it.

The thing that jmarz and most of the political activists miss, THE MONEY IS ALREADY GONE. It has been pissed away. It is not coming back.

I think Romney would be better than many candidates as POTUS. But get real. Did you see that shit last night ? It embarrassed ME and I was 2500 miles from the debate. I thought he and Perry were going to duke it out. Give that unstable kook, or Perry, the launch codes? Yeah, right.

Many of those seeking change do not deserve my scorn. But I can’t help but laugh when, after every single debate, jmarz comes on this board motherfucking every candidate but Paul, and then explaining logically why all voters will soon see the light and Doctor Paul will surge to victory. I mean, how fucking blind can a person be? Paul is probably among the best two republican candidates, but he has dropped in the polls like a rock.

Now, you have said many times that Ron Paul is unlikely to win, but you’ll actively support him anyway. I respect that. And many others have come on here saying Paul probably won’t win, but they send him money anyway. I respect that, too.

The ones I laugh at are the ones like jmarz, who ignore overwhelming evidence to the contrary simply because they want him to win, and think Paul can fix the country.

As far as evoking change, there are ways that work and ways that won’t work. I’m just not buying into OWS as the movement that fixes the country. No clear agenda, no leadership, no objectives, and co-opted by some questionable organizations. I think Hope’s farewell comment to this blog, regarding OWS, had a lot of truth to it.

If the stars aligned perfectly, maybe OWS succeeds in crashing they system. Big shit. Newsflash—the system will crash with or without OWS.

The path we are on WILL be changed, but OWS will at most be a very small part of causing that change. Maybe looking back in a few years, history will smile on the movement as being the first tiny part of something much larger.

My opinion has always been that your blog’s best days will begin when the economic collapse begins, three to four more years from now. You will have a wider audience at that time.

Some people may consider economic collapse a hardship. Others may consider it a new beginning filled with promise. It all depends on your point of view and the choices you make.

Will you choose to seize the moment or will you choose to retreat like a cur ?

Smokey – great analysis. That is pretty much my position. I would be quite happy with RP, and see him as honest and accurate, for the most part. But the financial future is set. The masses will not allow a quick reset – but will hang in there hoping for a kick-the-can-down-the-road miracle. There is little I can do. If I vote, I will probably go with RP. But I know he is doomed to fail. And the wolf pack will join forces to attack him. His economic recovery plan – cut $1 trillion almost instantly – would give heartburn to all sides of politics, to foreign nations, etc. The money must flow. As I mentioned, I suspect if he was gaining traction he would be at high risk of assassination – people have been killed for far less than $1 trillion. The FSA would go ballistic. Etc. Etc.

I can only take care of my family, if I am lucky. I hope that Admin and his efforts help, but this fucker is going down. It is just when, not if.

jmarz,

All the other candidates are faltering. Ron Paul has a legitimate shot. Cain took a big hit last night, as he was caught in lies and stumbled in the debate.

Bachmann is polling down around 2%. Santorum is at 2% also, and will drop out soon. Jon Huntsman didn’t even show because his campaign has run out of money, him dropping out is just a formality now.

That fight with Romney last night pretty much finished Perry, who was on the way out anyway.

So all Ron Paul has to do is get by Newt, Cain and Romney. Well, Newt will NEVER be the nominee, MSM won’t allow it. So all Paul really has to do is get by Cain and Romney.

Do you really think this country will follow up a failed black president with another black president ? No fucking way. Cain is toast, he’ll drop in the polls like a rock now that his idiotic 9-9-9 plan has been exposed for the lunacy behind it.

It all comes down to Ron Paul and Mitt.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. The republican party will never, NEVER, run a fucking Mormon on top of their ticket. That’s why Rick Perry was so warmly embraced until he repeatedly made a fool of himself in every public debate.

The populace is realizing what you’ve been saying all along—-Ron Paul is the answer to everyone’s prayers.

He’ll climb steadily as the other candidates fall by the wayside. Enormous momentum awaits. People resonate with his fiscal responsibility.

When it comes down to Ron Paul versus Obama, I think Obama may concede before election day, because of who he is up against. He is nobody’s fool. He’ll know beyond all doubt that with the shape the country’s in, even the black vote will be overwhelmingly in Ron Paul’s corner.

There you have it—-the lock of the ages in presidential politics.

Ron Paul 2012.

llpoh,

“when ” is absolutely the question.

In my opinion the two most likely scenarios in which this stuff plays out are as follows:

(1) Europe is in deep shit now. Greece is ready to go. Greece is insolvent, which is why their government bonds are paying something like 60%-80% per year now, and rapidly rising. I DON’T see Germany bailing out Greece, when push comes to shove. Germany knows it would be a mistake to bail out Greece.

When Greece goes, the dominoes start to fall. All the debt over there is interrelated—if one PIIG goes, the rest will soon follow. Italy, France, Ireland, Spain.—-Japan will fall also.

The USA has trillions tied up in Europe and could easily fall almost simultaneously, once the shit blows up. In other words, we go down together with Europe.

(2) On the other hand, this is what I think WILL happen.

Greece treads water for a little while longer, maybe Germany carries them for a few more weeks. But they will default sometime in the next couple of months or so. The dominoes will start falling in Europe, but there will be a worldwide flight to the USD as the Euro crashes. This will be good for the USA in the short term, although the USA will take it up the ass because of all the derivative liability of our big banks from the European blow-up.

I think the USA coasts for a couple of years, hanging on while most of Europe burns. Two to three years after the European economy crashes, I think China steps forward with a plan for a new world reserve currency, probably backed by gold. They may or may not push their own currency, the renminbi, as part of the plan. Regardless, the new world reserve currency will be structured on terms very favorable to China. Everybody with a brain already knows the USD only has a few years left, at most, as the world reserve currency.

Anyway, I think that China’s announcement that they are getting behind the NEW world reserve currency will be what finishes the USA economically. The straw that breaks the camel’s back, as it were.

I think that China’s move will be a very deliberate play to bring about the downfall of the USA, which they have planned for for decades in secret, behind the scenes. With Europe, Japan, and the USA in shambles, they will automatically become the world’s sole economic superpower.

It would surprise me if they WEREN’T dumping US treasuries. Why convert to a new world reserve currency if they are still holding US dollars? That would be insane. By the time they switch to a new world reserve currency, they’ll have dumped it all. As soon as they announce support for a new reserve currency, the USD life span will be measured in hours.

In the meantime, I still think that when Europe crashes, much of the world moves to USD, until the dollar crashes.
