PAYDAY LOAN INDUSTRY GROWING LIKE MAD

This is a sure sign of economic recovery. There are more payday loan outlets than McDonalds or Starbucks.

Yeppers, our recovery here in Kanada is SO freaking great under our fearless economist leader little Stevie Harper and his Harpettes, Canada just recorded an ALL-TIME LOW of an entire 200 –count ’em, the whole frigging 200!!– created in July. Of course, most were part-time w/o benefits or holidays….

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!!!

Seems to me that usury laws are like anti drug laws. Protecting people from their own stupidity. Libertarians who want freedom to ingest drugs should favor freedom to borrow at ridiculously high rates.

This guy is brilliant!

What a way other then the Simpsons or Family Guy to make political incorrect satire about America!

I’ll have to watch the show but I no longer have HBO. What the chance of the JOOOs putting it on non pay cable?

@Iska, if all rules were fair, then I would too agree.

But, if I charge my customers more than 20% (give or take) a year, I can forfeit my right to collect ANY of it.

Yet these bastards are allowed to prey upon the weakest members of our society with impunity.

They are the modern day, legalized, loan sharks. While they may not be chasing down the borrowers and breaking their legs, they sure as hell have no problem hauling them into the legal system, quadrupling (or worse) the debt, and destroying a person whom was already down and out to begin with.

A society can be judged on the ways it treats – or allows to be treated – its children, seniors, veterans, and morons.

This says so very much about us. So very much.

In some poor areas in the USSA, there are no normal banks, so these Loanshark businesses are all people have to cash their checks.

How is this better than visiting the Mob?
