BACK TO SCHOOL

I’ll be offline for most of the day. My oldest starts his senior year at Penn State tomorrow. Then he enters the REAL world. He filled the CRV with stuff last weekend and we are left with everything he couldn’t fit into the CRV. We’re bringing all the essentials – three guitars, two amplifiers, a suitcase of clothes, and all the electronic equipment he forgot to bring.

Our 7 hour round- trip of boredom on the PA Turnpike is about to commence. I’ve written three articles on previous trips to Altoona. I’ll repost them for your pleasure. One is a TBP classic.

Your son looks older than I imagined him to be … and he’s kinda bug-eyed, as well.

Have fun. I’ll try to keep the shit-flinging monkeys in line during your absence,

You may be wondering why SUDDENLY all news about flight MH17 has ceased.

Well …. it’s against the law!! And since the USA! is a law-abiding nation, well, we really have no other choice. Really, our Gooberment wants to tell you the truf … they just can’t.

=========

“In the framework of the 4-country agreement signed on 8 August between Ukraine, the Netherlands, Belgium and Australia, information on the progress and results of the investigation of the disaster will remain classified.

This was confirmed at a briefing in Kiev under the auspices of the office of the Prosecutor General Yuri Boychenko. In his words, the results of the investigation will be published once completed only if a consensus agreement of all parties that have signed the agreement prevails.”

=========

What are the chances that ALL FOUR countries will “agree” to release information — considering that one of them are the Nazi Ukies? Answer: A Big Fuckin Zero. We will never know … or maybe we will know, 30 years from now.

That’s the beauty of Democracy … as opposed to those evil Commie bastards. At least we pass laws!!

Can’t get Ukraine into NATO? No problem!! We’ll just pass a law that gives the Nazi Ukies NATO-like status. If Russia gets too involved in Ukraine … we can come to Ukraine’s defense. Woo hoo! How fuckin convenient.

One day owning gold is legal. The next day it’s not … with the stroke of a pen. Of course, that can NEVER happen again to some here. Nosiree!

That’s one of the big problems with prepping …. NOT that there’s anything wrong with that. The problem is that too many assumptions are made. I mean, for Crissakes, “they” can make storing water illegal … as some states already have that law on the books.

Bottom line: You are NEVER safe in a democracy.

I made your chilli this morning … just had a bite. Yum Yum!!!

I made a couple small changes …. which you might find abhorrent, I know.

— I added a small red and a small purple pepper … for color. It looks just beautiful.

— My potted rosemary plant is huge, so I added that fresh herb.

— This one you will hate. Psychologically, I need a chilli to be red. So, I added 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.

It’s a damn fine recipe. And, as you said, really quite easy to throw together. Thanks, again.

Regarding the Southwestern chilli ….. what did we drink with that meal?

Well, I recently became aware of the many benefits of eating prickly pear cactus leaves (nopla).

http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/benefits-cactus-leaf-diet-8868.html
.
.
I recently became aware of the huge benefits of juicing raw aloe vera; everything from alkalizing the body, stopping cancer, boosting the immune system, and more. The ancient Egyptians called it “the plant of immortality,” Native Americans called it the “Wand of the Heaven.”

http://www.naturalnews.com/021858_aloe_vera_gel.html

.
So, we had a cactus-aloe vera smoothie!

—– 3 tablespoons of aloe vera … the “meat” inside, not the green outer part
—– 1 nopla cactus leaf
—– 1 whole lemon, peel included (this will mask the “green” taste)
—– 2 cups unflavored sparkling water (or more or less depending on how thick you like your juice)
—– 4 tablespoons raw honey
—– stick it in the Vita Mix and Voilla!!!

First time ever, it won’t be the last, as it was quite good.

T4C re-posted the chilli recipe in the “Castles” thread. It’s near the bottom.

A 36-year-old woman walking through Central Park was shot in the back of the head with a pellet gun in an apparent hate crime, police said Saturday.

The shaken victim told the Daily News she was leaving the park at W. 60th St. and West Drive about 12:05 a.m. Monday when she strolled past a group of black youths.

The two men and three women — all in their late teens or early 20s — said nothing as they passed by. But moments later, the woman felt a “horrible pain” in the back of her head.

“My hand went up to my head, and there was blood gushing everywhere,” said the woman, who asked to be identified only as Hanna.

“I turned around, and I said, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this to me? What’s wrong with you people?’”

One of the women immediately unleashed a barrage of racial epithets.

“F—- you, you f—— white b—-,” the woman hissed, Hanna recalled.

Then one of the men popped his head out from behind a tree and joined in the racially fueled verbal attack.

“All white people suck,” the man hollered. “F— white people.”

The group fled, leaving Hanna bloodied and in tears.

Trust me, I don’t EVER watch even one second of MS-NBC. Too many fucktards. But, I found this on another website.

‘I ain’t sayin Obama is Jesus, BUT…’

Jeebus H Krist!!!

Michael Dyson — a Neeegrow “preacher” who doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground talking at Melissa “Tampon-Earring” Harris. Somehow Obama coming to Ferguson would be like God manifesting Himself to humanity as Jesus Christ??? Nice analogy Neegro preachah.

Well, I recently became aware of the many benefits of eating prickly pear cactus leaves (nopla).

We have quite a few cactus (nopal, rhymes with Nepal) and aloe vera plants your welcome to graze on.

Once in a while, the sexy mulatta suprises me with a pan grilled young cactus leaf for dinner.

“The story of Jesus on the cross, no matter what they humiliated him with. No matter how they mocked him he took it, because he knew he could rise. And the story of Easter and my message for this Easter season is no matter what unearned suffering you go through, that if you know you can rise above it, don’t become like the diseases that you fight.”

“As I looked at President Obama at our convention last Friday where all he took he’s been able to rise politically again, I’m not comparing him to Jesus, but I am saying that to every crucifixion there is a resurrection for those that believe.”

@ Stucky – glad you liked the Chili recipe. I’ll keep the chopped peppers and tomato paste in mind. The rosemary? Nope. Not gonna happen. And we have a nice rosemary bush in the front yard.

@ Admin – I DEMAND Avalon write the “return to our son’s senior year in college” article. Or at least contribute with some of her more profane comments.

I made homemade peach icecream with organic whole milk, raw sugar, local peaches, a banana, and some vanilla extract in my handcrank freezer. Not too shabby! Best damn ice cream ever.

Ms Freud asked me what I was cooking so early in the morning. I said “CIA chicken chilli.”. She said (really), “OK. But, I don’t like chilli that much.” I said …. well, I better not repeat what I said.

Bottom line? I purposely gave her a LARGE bowl of it. haha. And guess what? She ate the whole damn thing. We had some left-overs, so I went to get a second helping, and she said, “Please leave some for me for lunch tomorrow.” HA!!!

You submitted a real winner there, buddy.

GilbertS, your homemade peach ice cream brings back a childhood memory, of my grandfather making peach ice cream in a hand-crank ice cream maker. on a beautiful summer day back in my early childhood in the 50s. I doubt he used organic cream, he used what he bought at the grocery store, and my grandmother made up the sauce the night before. But he used fresh peaches. I remember how we all sat around him with breathless anticipation on his hand-built brick patio, watching him crank the ice cream, with a grin on his face. He loved doing stuff like this. It was the best ice cream I ever had in my life, or at least it is so in my memory.

I’m making some vanilla ice cream this weekend, and a fresh hot fudge sauced spiced up with merlot. Am inviting the neighbors on my tier. There’s nothing like home-made ice cream. The trick is to shave the ice as finely as possible.

Ok here you go, SSS. My version of the back to school trip will not be nearly as exciting, insightful or as well written as Jim’s would be, but I’ll do it for you.

8:30 am- Jim and Mike waiting for me to get in car. I was last in (as usual) due to a last second bathroom visit, and the need to grab snack and a couple water bottles. I must mention here that I got my way in the leaving time, because for some strange reason Jim wanted to leave super early, before 8! Why? I said. Why?

On the road for a bit. I decided it is very boring being a passenger on a long car ride. I forgot to bring my book to read (Sweet Revenge is my current read, very intellectual let me assure you). So Mike let me read his book – 1984, which I read many years ago, but would love to reread. So thanks Mike.

Made rest stop after couple hours driving. Made bad food choices- Roy Rogers roast beef with fries and COFFEE. Thank God for coffee. Used ladies room, and of course, no toilet paper! It’s a huge 2 roll holder and nothing. Luckily I had tissues in my purse, ugh.

Back in car, I offered to drive, Jim says nope. Radio stations all country now that we are headed further west. There is one station with very old rock music. So I put Pandora on my iPhone for music but it sounds crappy. So we are stuck with oldies. I put my feet up on dashboard to rest since I’m bored. I should mention that I checked in to read comments on AWD’s thread several times during this drive and would tear up each time. It’s too sad. And heartbreaking for his family.

Arrive in Altoona. Get to see and hug Kevin! Tour his apt. And help him hang up and organize the clothes we brought him. The apartment is actually slightly nicer than I thought. His roommate offers to make us bacon and eggs, so sweet! We meet his other roommate, a very nice kid, and the owner of the large Gadsden flag hanging up on their living room wall.

After making sure Kev was moved in ok, we went to Texas Roadhouse for an early dinner at 2:00. It was packed. At 2! I made bad food choices again! Why’d I order chicken critters? Ewww, anyway didn’t eat more than 2 of them because I felt they were undercooked. So I took the rest home to microwave later. Hug Kevin and his girlfriend goodbye….. 🙁 🙁 🙁

Oh, and for some reason, I ordered a skinny margarita with my dinner thinking it wouldn’t be strong because it said “skinny”, but yikes, it was huge, and plenty strong lol. So I really couldn’t offer to drive the first leg home. I put my seat back and slept instead. Few hours later, got coffee at rest stop. A very pretty rest stop, btw. It had a high ceiling with lots of glass windows all around in it. And it is surrounded by mountains and trees, very pretty area. I made another bad food choice and purchased a pack of chocolate covered graham crackers to go with my coffee. Yum.

Jim still wanted to drive, mumbled something about wanting to get home some time tonight so he should drive. Saw 2 beautiful hot air balloons together high up in sky, and lots of beautiful farmland and mountains on my way to and from. PA is really a beautiful state.

Got home and immediately microwaved my chicken critters and ate them. Then before bed I got on scale and saw that I had gained 4 pounds in one day! So I just got done running on treadmill for half hour to make up for my behavior yesterday. Aren’t you sorry you asked for my version? Lol my version is stupid 🙂
