SHIT JOBS RECOVERY

Have you heard the MSM blather about the manufacturing renaissance in this country? How about ZERO manufacturing jobs added in the last two months in the entire country. That’s a helluva renaissance. Shit jobs abound.

We are living in a surreal time. In flyover country, which includes about 90% of America, my anecdotal, but in my opinion correct observation, is that unemployment/underemployment is about 50% in the large cities, while maybe 10% in the suburbs, and maybe 25% in rural areas. In the midwest (anything outside the coasts), the unemployed have for the most part just left the workforce and are now just part of the FSA. As the author points out, pretty soon we will have 1% unemployment but no one will have a job (?).

I don’t understand how they can keep fucking lying on just about everything.

Well I do understand, the FSA doesn’t care, and many of those who have attended gubmint scrools have been brainwashed to focus on transgender rights and sports.

Here in Minnesota, the biggest and cheapest provider health insurer on the ‘exchange’ pulled out. So 60% of the people have to find a new provider. Now the lie – the state simply averaged together the increases for the remaining providers – they didn’t include the 60% who lost their insurance, nor did they weight the averages based on the number of people in each plan.

The average increase was only 4.5% – one of the providers, who had less than 1% of the business reduced their rate by 9% – a total scam.

In case you don’t understand maff: You have two school rooms, one has 6 year olds, the other has 12 year olds. Using Minnesota’s maff: (6 + 12)/2 = 9 – the average age is 9.

However, there are 100 6 year olds in that room, and the other room contains 10 12 year olds.
So (6 * 100) + (12 * 10) / 110 = 6.54 the actual average age.

And our fucking governor ‘Mumbles’ (Dayton) is campaigning with this number.

Bullshit you doomers, I just passed a Wesco Gas station advertizing help wanted, starting pay, $8.50 per hour. I wonder how many college grads will settle for that job….

I made that 35 years ago in my third year of construction work, how freaking sad.

Perfect photos to accompany the story. Americans have been reduced to Brad’s character arc from Fast Times — former BMOC at the burger joint, cocksure and ignorant but looking forward to a bright future, then summarily fired and reduced to working at an even shittier fast food job. Oh yeah, and jerking it to a hot babe, now it is the NSA instead of Phoebe Cates catching us in the act.

I’m former UPS teamster. Every year UPS hires temporary seasonal helpers for the peak Christmas season, all wages are detailed in the collective bargaining agreement.

Seasonal hires have been at the same hourly pay rate since 1988. Yes, folks it hasn’t changed in almost THIRTY YEARS. And it is now below the minimum wage in some cities and states. (of course in those cases the local minimum wage must be met)

30 years at the same pay rate.

They’re hiring for peak season -right now- at the same pay you’d have gotten before Ronald Reagan died in the last century.

Way to go America. Forward into the future!
