If you have not seen the “FIRE IT UP” concert Joe Cocker did in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2013, watch it tonight in tribute. I have seen it at least 6 times. GREAT SHOW !

There will never be a musical time like ours. The sun has been setting on it for awhile. When I was in college we used to travel up to JIm’s humble town for big shows at JFK stadium. The thing held 90,000 people. A lot of those old shows are on youtube now. Amazing. RIP joe cocket (and bobby keyes)

I got to see Joe Cocker twice. He looked like a bit of spaz but he brought the house down!

So very true!!!! So many great bands came out of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
Boomer Rock n Roll will still be playing 500 years from now, if the world is still standing, on that you can rest assured.

Hearing this news makes me cry. Feeling Alright, You Can Leave Your Hat On…..WTF? Oh, man, this is such a loss! A rhythm and blues master! He really was a very talented man, and there was a lot of depth in his music and singing.

Wherever you are, Joe, you will be missed!!!!!

@Stuck, I have the feeling that the RIPs were what led my grandpa to saying, “there ain’t nothing good about getting old.”

“Except the new friend I meet every morning in the medicine cabinet mirror. I really like that guy, seems familiar…”

Gramps was a card, at least to us grandkids.

I miss him too. But him I miss always and forever.

@taxslave
I used to think dying “sucks,” now I realize that I would be a masochistic, deranged, loser, to wish to continue on in this life. Especially once my children left here.

I have no desire to live forever. This is but a brief layover in my ultimate trip.

TE – true and well said.
I have no desire for immortality, but it sucks for the survivors when creative wonderful humans pass.
