WHICH COUNTRY IS NOT AMONG THESE BASKET CASES?

Give up?

It’s Russia, with a miniscule Debt to GDP Ratio of 65%.

Economic sanctions and plunging oil prices are certainly hurting their economy over the short-term. But they can withstand the onslaught. The Russian people have known nothing but hardship for centuries. They have been attacked countless times by the West. They have withstood 70 years of Soviet rule. And they are still standing – with very little debt.

The list above is like a row of dominoes. As soon as one of the dominoes at the top falls, the rest of the world falls too. That is why the powers that be are desperately trying to keep the Greek domino from falling. And they are only the seventh most unstable domino. To think this can go on forever is delusional. It will end and it will change the world forever.

And Russia will still have the oil and gas under their feet.

Edgar Cayce (“The Sleeping Prophet”) said Russia is the hope of the world. Let’s hope so. The USA surely is NOT.

A video circulated online last week showed a grizzly bear killing a moose then eating its heart first.

Russia apparently understands what America seemingly has forgotten. Know your enemies, love your country, protect your borders and stay out of debt. If communism couldn’t take the country down from within, an external threat like economic sanctions isn’t likely to have the desired consequences, especially in a country so vast and rich in natural resources. Add to that the fact that they continue to increase their gold holdings while simultaneously decreasing their positions in failing western economies and it’s plain that, as a nation, they have their priorities in the right order. Russian leaders display a nationalistic self interest that is long since gone in America.

Is America destined to be the moose? Don’t poke the bear unless you’ve got the will and the means to fight it. And be ready to fight to the death.

“Free trade results in giving our money, our manufactures, and our markets to other nations,” Republican Senator from Ohio and future President William McKinley -1892.

”Thank God I am not a free-trader,…” -Theodore Roosevelt.

http://www.theamericanconservative.com/buchanan/on-trade-t-r-s-party-no-longer/
Yet when one looks back on the devastation wrought by free trade, how can a party that purports to put America first sign on to fast track yet again? In the first decade of this century, the United States lost 5 to 6 million manufacturing jobs. We lost 55,000 factories, a devastation of industry not unlike what we inflicted on Germany and Japan in 1944-45.

The trade figures are in for 2014. What do they show?

The United States ran a trade deficit of $505 billion. But as the Economic Policy Institute’s Robert Scott points out, in manufactured goods, the U.S. trade deficit rose to $524 billion, a surge of $77 billion over 2013. The U.S. trade deficit with China soared to $342 billion. Our exports to China amounted to $125 billion. But our imports from China were almost four times as great, $467 billion.

Since Jan. 1, 2000, U.S. trade deficits with China have totaled an astronomical $3.3 trillion. -Pat Buchanan

See also, Iceland:
http://www.tradingeconomics.com/iceland/government-debt-to-gdp
86.4% from this source, and dropping,

I suppose that jailing bankers, instead of shifting the consequences of their criminality and incompetence onto the backs of the taxpayers, is actually a good thing – despite what the bankers claim. Weird.

Russia:
http://www.tradingeconomics.com/russia/government-debt-to-gdp
13.41% from this source. Huh.

USA:
http://www.tradingeconomics.com/united-states/government-debt-to-gdp
101.53% from this source.

Still, you have to wonder why S&P downgraded Russian bonds, while US Treasury bonds inexplicably retain their high rating.

It is very simple to secure a country’s borders.

Simply make the destination country more miserable/dangerous to live in than the country in which you live.

Presto -no immigration problems. Just like East Germany during the Cold War. They shot people trying to leave, not the other way around.

Because there is no such thing as an INDEPENDENT credit rating agency in da United State of Amurrika?

Because credit rating agencies do the bidding of the banks, their masters, TPTB?

Where’s Russia on this list?

Moodys rate them as a junk bond, third world economy.

The papers I read say that the Russian economy’s headed for the toilet – move over Greece.

Stratfor predicts that the Russian state will collapse.

Russia should be at the top of the list. Why not?
