Don’t know why… just had a thought that if NASA could make going to the moon a pretty low-cost, mundane thing, just think of the cash they could make running a stain removal service…
I’d send them all my t-shirts and socks. Leave them on the moon for a few weeks and TA DAA! Snow white.. .and probably sterile as well.

Not sure what material the flags were made of but I assume cotton or nylon. I cannot imagine either material could maintain integrity exposed to both direct and reflected sunlight plus all that radiation and extreme temperature swings for the last 45 plus years. I’ll bet all that remains is a pile of bleach white fabric remains lying at the base of the pole. With no atmosphere to block any of that they probably fell apart a couple of decades ago or longer.
If someone wanted to look it up, I think both Russia and the US did tests on Mir and the ISS where they exposed a “pallet” of materials to the space environment for years to study how they performed.

I think it represents NASA (1958-2010) which was cannibalized by Obozo to fund Obamacare (2010-probably 2016). More Nobel Prize stupidity.

The French successfully invaded England and changed it forever. Napoleon also kicked a lot of ass before succumbing to the Russians outside of Moscow. Sure they can be assholes, but is there really anything wrong with that?

@robert, sorry dude, I don’t like O bama much either, but Bush II is the one that sent our NASA funding to Russia and disbanded our shuttle program.
Just because the law doesn’t become active until AFTER the Pres leaves office, makes it no less his mess.
I can’t wait until we see the timebombs being left now.
One is in 2017 when States have to start paying the Feds for the millions getting “free” health care. Think your property taxes and sales taxes and other hidden taxes are high now? Just flippin’ wait.
I nearly short-circuited my husband’s financial planner’s mind when I asked him what he thought might be the best tax-avoidance strategy with the coming onslaught of taxes and continued death of customers.
He literally had no idea how to answer me. And he calls himself a retirement and financial expert.
Our asses haven’t even begun to be reamed by this government. And it doesn’t matter whom is in the hot seat/Oval Office.
