One of these days the ground will drop out from beneath your feet
One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat
One of these days the clocks will stop and time won’t mean a thing
One of these days their bombs will drop and silence everything

SSS is still waiting for the Patsy Cline tour to come to Tucson. He wouldn’t know good rock and roll if it bit him in his bony old ass.
Avalon and I are going to the Foo Fighters concert tomorrow night at the SBC in Camden. I hope I make it out alive.
Dave Grohl is the coolest dude on the planet. Thursday he invited a kid up on stage to play the drums for his 18th birthday.
That was an excellent live show Billy. Saw that tour in Vancouver, Canada. Had to drive 7.5 hours home after the show and go straight to work for a twelve hour day of sandblasting concrete in the Sun. It was worth it though.
I swear ter gawd Indented sphincter you have been ter every concert and done every other thing worth doing in this wide world. Won’t yew please rescue me from this halitosis ridden acne scarred ANUS of uh dipshit of uh husband?
Now I am seething with jealously. You get to see Dave Grohl on his throne. Did you also get to see Nirvana concert? Going to throw that in my face too? It seems like their concerts have turned into massive jam sessions since he broke his leg.
I’ve been to very few concerts in my life. I don’t think I would have fit in at a Nirvana concert. A clean cut accountant living in the burbs wasn’t really their target audience. But I do love their music. This is my first Foo Fighters Concert.
I understand SSS saw the Glenn Miller Band in concert and said they sucked. He saw Elvis Presley and said he wouldn’t amount to anything. He said the Beatles would be a flash in the pan.

Your time-frame regarding SSS is slightly askew.
SSS went to a Mozart concert. That’s the right time frame.

I thought it was great, actually.
Stucky- I think you would like Jack Johnson. I feel like TBP DJ right now.

You are correct.
Thank you for posting it.
Clammy, Nirvana concerts were best experienced from afar. I’ve been to over 100 concerts in my life and the majority of those attending Nirvana shows were some of the nastiest looking people you ever saw. Grunge didn’t even come close to describing them. The place wreaked of patchouli and vomit. Nasty fuckers.
As with many bands, the quality of the show depended on what time the band members began partying that day. I saw a number of performers carried out over the years for being so intoxicated they could not function. Both times I saw Nirvana they did a fine job which is surprising considering Kurt’s penchant for riding the horse.
My favorite Nirvana joke: What was the last thing to go through Kurt Cobain’s mind before he died? His teeth! or That Hole would be the next big thing! (Hole was another band with nasty concert fans.)
For all you Southern Rock and Blues fans, this ought to make your wee wee stick out:
