WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE DRAWN TO TBP?

A couple years ago we posted a link to the Briggs Meyers’ personality test so TBP readers could see why they are drawn to this libertarian anarchist anti-government shit throwing website. It was immediately evident that 80% of the people who frequent this site are INTJs.

We’ve got a lot more readers now, so let’s do it again. Take the 64 question test and reveal your personality type.

IS: Part of the distinction of this personality test is that no results are “better” than another. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses. And it is more common to be on the moderate side on many of these traits.

ENTJ
Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging
********by Joe Butt (I WISH JOE WOULD START COMMENTING HERE… WE COULD HAVE A LOT OF FUN … WHO WOULD BE THE FIRST BUTT KISSER?)

“I don’t care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can’t control it, why look?”

ENTJs have a natural tendency to marshall and direct. (Okay, this may be why my oldest sister told me I was always trying to tell everyone in the family what to do… but really, someone needed to tell the stupid assholes how to get something done!!!!) This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. The ENTJ requires little encouragement to make a plan. One ENTJ put it this way… “I make these little plans that really don’t have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out.” While “compelled” may not describe ENTJs as a group, nevertheless the bent to plan creatively and to make those plans reality is a common theme for NJ types.

ENTJs are often “larger than life” in describing their projects or proposals. This ability may be expressed as salesmanship, story-telling facility or stand-up comedy. In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our hero can make it very difficult for the customer to decline.

TRADEMARK: — “I’m really sorry you have to die.” (I realize this is an overstatement. However, most Fs and other gentle souls usually chuckle knowingly at this description.)

ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.

(ENTJ stands for Extravert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging and represents individual’s preferences in four dimensions characterising personality type, according to Jung’s and Briggs Myers’ theories of personality type.)

Your Type Preferences

Extravert(1%) iNtuitive(16%) Thinking(6%) Judging(9%)

**** this is really funny because it basically says I might be both an introvert and an extrovert, which really describes me to a tee.

Because you appear to have marginal or no (1%) preference of Extraversion over Introversion, characteristics of more than one personality type may apply to you:
ENTJ and INTJ.

Yes, I just saw the retraction today. Not having the original data, it looks like the whole basis for the retraction rests on two characters (exponents) in a table. Maybe the author of the paper did make a three-order of magnitude mistake, or maybe he was visited by some quiet men in grey suits. Curious…

If you give this test over at the Huffington post many of the liberals would test similar. Same with IQ .My question to all is how can people who have the same test traits and IQ scores be so different in their perspective about life.? What causes people of same IQ ,race ,educational background , work background to develop different types of ideologies to explain life?

There are real differences between liberals ,librarians and conservatives. What explains this ?Best answer wins 50 bucks.

Got the Personality Preference Inventory at my employers years ago. I came up INTJ. Then they told us that INTJ’s comprised 1% of the population and fit in the upper right hand block of the 4×4 matrix of possible outcomes. In addition 53% occupies the diametrically opposed bottom left 2×2 block. We have a real uphill fight ahead of us.

Someone like me?

The little woman and I are headed out for a 2-week road trip to the upper Midwest – Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan. Save for stops in Madison and Minneapolis, it will be strictly small town America to refresh my love for my country. Enjoying the beauty of the countryside with the folks who live there.

Can’t wait to get to Door County, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I plan to track down and rassle with badgers and wolverines, right after I take a healthy dose of stupid pills. Heh. May I humbly suggest such a vacation to all.

Re: bb says: There are real differences between liberals ,librarians and conservatives. What explains this ?Best answer wins 50 bucks.

Liberals think all books are equal, unless the book conflicts with whatever insane crap they believe this week, then the author must be killed and his books burned. Conservatives think some books are good, some are crap, and some are only good for being toilet paper. Librarians think books should be QUIETLY put back on the shelf in the same fucking place that they came from by whoever keeps putting them in the wrong place.
