Time to get the Christmas lights from the storage area and put them on the bushes outside. I used to go all Clark Griswold with the lights, but the kids are all grown and I don’t care that much anymore. I’ll be done in 30 minutes.
It’s funny. When we moved here in 1995, Kevin was 2 years old and I put up the lights by myself. Over the years, as the kids got older they all helped me put up the lights. Now Kevin has moved to Colorado, Jimmy is away at college, and Mike has to go to work. We’ve come full circle. I’ll be putting up the lights alone again. Time sure flies when you’re living life.

Life in general and time in particular sure seemed to take off like a rocket after 45. All those old folks I listened to when I was young were right, not that it meant anything to me at the moment.
I love Christmas Vacation. I only watch that and It’s A Wonderful Life right before Christmas day.

I appreciate the circle of life Christmas decorating. My daughter was home from UMass over Thanksgiving and wanted to get a tree. We did not have enough time between the holiday and I am still painting the outside of the house. We compromised and will put it up when she gets home on the 16th. I usually do the lights and a dozen wreaths on the front, but as I mentioned I am still painting. If I finish the front today I will put up the lights this week as I have for over 20 years. Thank god for global climate change it was over 50 degrees yesterday and will be today. Merry Christmas Admin and to all.
