Gun Sales Spike Across the U.S.

Obama is the best gun salesman in history. His hypocritical nonsense speech tonight will spur more sales tomorrow.

Via Time

Handguns are seen at Metro Shooting Supplies on November 16, 2014 in Bridgeton, Missouri.

Some stores haven’t seen a spike like this since the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting

Gun sales have been spiking in the United States for weeks, especially following the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. Wednesday that left 14 people dead.

Many California gun stores have seen a rush on guns after the San Bernardino shooting, according to ABC.

“The knee jerk reaction of politicians is immediately after an event like this to take advantage of it for political goals and will try to restrict the rights of law-abiding gun owners,” Sam Paredes, spokesman for Gun Owners of America, told ABC. “So there is a natural rush to gun stores to purchase guns and ammunition.”

A gun store in Iowa told KCCI that their sales have shot up more than 30% in the past three weeks, and that they’ve been especially busy since San Bernardino.

And the Nardis Gun Club in Texas hasn’t seen gun sales this high since 2012, in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, Hawaii News Now reports.

According to the New York Times, the sales haven’t just been spiking after San Bernardino, however. More Americans had their backgrounds checked to buy guns on Black Friday than any other single day on record. 185,345 had their backgrounds checked on Black Friday, which is a 5 percent increase from the year before.

Excellent! Another bonus is the fact that there are many more first time buyers and a lot more women buyers, which is awesome. In my state the pistol permit classes are still humming along with near full capacity. In CT you need a permit to buy a long gun and/or a permit to buy ammo or you can just say ‘screw it’ and get a pistol permit which covers it all; pistols, long guns and ammo.

So the libtards screwed up! People, like hunters for example, who would never have bothered with a pistol permit, but need an ammo permit in order to buy a box of 30-30’s, are going for the pistol permit. As long as they spent $370 for a permit, then why not buy a pistol?

Nice job, libtards!

Is there any group of people dumber than libtards? The governor of CT is Dannel Malloy and he’s a prime example of a stuttering, bumbling, semi-retarded cheesedick who makes up the libtard establishment here.

i can vouch for this. I was in the store I always buy from here near the east coast of central Florida, and it was fuckin’ packed. This was yesterday, saturday, and I broke the clip on my holster getting into the car, so had to make an unplanned trip. I picked out a good little blackhawk IWB, and stood at the counter for 10 minutes just to wait on one of the employees to help me. All i wanted was to hold a glock 43, which is my every day carry, to see how it fit in the holster since I didn’t think they would like me pulling mine out in the store. I then had to wait a few more minutes to pay. I had what I wanted in my hand in less than 5 minutes, and I was in the store for 20. The guy said it was taking 1.5-2.5 hours for background checks to go through. The store has a sign that they don’t sell guns for the 30 minutes before closing time(so that they aren’t stuck there waiting on a background check to go through after close) and people that came in to buy a gun were leaving when they found out they wouldn’t be able to leave with the gun that day, leaving and going to a big box store thats open later. So they would have sold even more guns if the background check system wasn’t so backed up.

While standing there at the counter waiting on someone to get me the glock from under the counter I heard a lot of “novice” type gun questions being asked by people next to me. You could tell by the questions that were asked that many, if not most, of the people there were first time gun buyers. I saw 1 or 2 people buying shotguns, but the overwhelming majority were looking at handguns. They were about to sell out of the small hammerless 5 shot revolvers(something I recommend to anyone thinking about buying a first gun that doesn’t have much experience handling them). They also sold a lot of hydrashoks, which is hands down the best defensive carry round there is. the people shopping there defintely weren’t buying to go target shooting

I was in the Grand Rapids MI Cabelas Saturday with a friend to purchase one of those black Asuuuult weapons.
The lines to purchase firearms was pretty deep, asked the salesperson how gun sales were, she said Friday was like Black Friday all over again and that morning was crazy as well.

Took about 15 min to get to the counter, 10 min to look over the firearms desired, about 45 min for the FBI Background check and were on our way with a new Ruger AR-15 and 500 rounds of ammo. All on sale.
$690 for the rifle, $120 for the ammo.

A few years ago new AR’s were about $2,500, I told my friend on the ride over I really should purchase two just to sell later.

One guy bought three pistols, when he was casually asked why he wanted three of the same pistols he said the same thing I was thinking. Keep one and sell the other two later after the next government attempt to stop the law abiding citizen from owning.

There’s a storm a brewin.

Look into the 80% receivers and frames for homebuild projects.

Pay cash for them and the parts. No paper trail = priceless.

I hope all the people buying weapons remember to practice with them. Seen a lot of men freeze up when they haven’t trained enough.

@ card802, I know someone who did that. Bought 6 stripped lowers from spike tactical, he builds a lot of ARs and has a bunch of NFA weapons. He ended up selling 4 or 5 of them for a little over 3 times what he paid for them. Ive thought about the same thing. You can buy everything but the lowers online or anywhere else and have it sent right to you. Anderson Arms lowers are only like 5o$, ill bet next time that happens you can get 250-300 apiece easily.

Some nice rigs there in the pic but without ammo and training/practice they arent much more than ineffective clubs.

Some good advice from ac and specops. Spare parts to build rifles as needed are great. AR components are especially plentiful and inexpensive.
For instance you can buy a rifle kit from palmetto state armory for about $400 that includes everything but the lower (serialized part), buy a stripped lower from a local gun shop for 40-50 and you can have an AR for less than $500 with a little bit of assembly work. They are simple to assemble, watch videos on youtube.
Get comfortavle with ur rigs, dont tacticool them out with useles shot, buy quality optics, aimpoint, vortex etc… and once comfortable get off the bench and do some active drills.

Admin, my pops is a member of an excellent range in phoenixville off egypt road, ill find out the name of it if ur interested.

He also wants to strip people of their second amendment rights without due process of law. Free speech will be next.

A guy I work with fucked up and let his CPL expire and now has to pay the new permit price and go through the full waiting period. He’s even a second responder! He was really pissed though because the line for CPL’s went out the door and down the block as of Wednesday.

We had to renew ours this spring and it literally took longer to fill out the form than it did to get the new CPL. New, as opposed to renewal apps, take several weeks for reasons that make no sense to me and seem to make up the bulk of recent applications. With a CPL I can buy any common handgun or long gun off the shelf and walk out the door with it. There are no restrictions on how many guns I can buy and ammo is freely available to anyone over age 18. No papers required.

@ IS…That sucks for your co-worker. Same thing happened to a guy in my class except in this state you have to go through the entire process as if you never had a pistol permit. Plus it cost about $350 to do. He was so mad at himself because that $350 could’ve gone towards the Ruger SP-100 he wanted.

@ Card802…Nice one, my friend! That Ruger AR-556 is a excellent rifle. My friend has one and it runs flawlessly on every kind of ammo he put in it, except he didn’t use Wolf steel cased. I never tried it myself but I’ve heard that some battle rifles work fine with it.

Lysander, in these parts all you have to do to get a CPL is apply, pass the background check and pay the fee. No tests, classes or anything else which is surprising since it is dominated by liberally mental disordered libtards.

I also generally don’t pay much attention to the political BS on teevee especially considering that I refuse to pay for it and have been completely without it for almost three months.

Last night I took the wasteful 20 minutes to listen to the idiot in chief spew his crap, it’s the only 20 minutes of my life I want back.

That said I guess I struggle with not understanding what part of “shall not be infringed” is too challenging or difficult to understand.
