Question of the Day, Feb 11

After reading Sanders NH speech yesterday, I have to ask…You live in a swing state, the election’s close, somehow Trump and Sanders have defeated the 2 party machine operators and are heads up. What do you do on election day?? Especially looking forward to Admin’s answer.

Absent a selection denoted “Fuck ALL of you!” I cast my ballot for The Donald.

This, of course, will have no effect on the national outcome. As all of us in the Garden State know full well, if the Democrat Party nominee were to be Jerry Sandusky, running from his prison cell, all 14 of New Jersey’s electoral college votes would be cast in his favor as surely as the proverbial dog returning to his vomit.

In favor of Mr. Sandusky’s candidacy (I assume he’s willing to be drafted at the convention), permit me to suggest for his campaign a winning slogan:

“He cares about every little thing in your family.”

Flip a coin?

Seriously though, this country needs someone who is willing to press the RESET button.

So I’d probably hold my nose and vote for Trump, not that I believe a whole lot would change.

I vote for Trump.

At least there is the chance of a change with him and my philosophy is to go down fighting instead of apathetically whimpering if I have to go down at all.

I doubt that will be a popular attitude around here, but it is my attitude anyway.

If you are a working white American, you obviously vote for Trump. If you are anybody else and love this country, you vote for Trump. If you want civil war and disaster, give the Democrats another four years. You don´t have to love Trump, but you have to accept that he loves this country without conditions. That ism ore than most of them and enough for me.

The way I figure it
– If any mainstream Democrat becomes president all middle class white americans are screwed
– If any mainstream Republican becomes president all middle class white americans are screwed
– If Bernie Sanders becomes president all middle class white americans are screwed.
– If Donald Trump becomes president I see one of four possibilities
– 25% chance all middle class white americans are screwed
– 25% chance The Donald is totally ineffective so middle class white americans are no worse off
– 25% chance he actually manages to make some improvements
– 25% change of TEOTWAWKI

At least with The Donald middle class white americans have some chance rather than no chance. If he’s the republican nominee I’ll have to decide if it is enough of a chance that I’ll vote for him rather than my normal protest vote (vote for the libertarian).

An interesting thought occurs to me.

What if Sanders is elected and dies before being sworn in to the office of President (a real potential because of his age and the stress of the election(?

Or what if Trump is elected and is assassinated before taking office (a real potential from all sorts of establishment and liberal fanatic groups)?

Who becomes the next legal President?

Before you answer, keep in mind that the Constitution only addresses the succession of sworn Presidents and such that are holding office, it does not mention the president elect and vice president elect who do not officially hold any government office at the time and are still just citizens the same as all the others.

While this situation is obviously hypothetical since it has never happened, it is not unrealistic and is one that could actually happen in this years elections.

It might be worthy of some discussion, any and all opinions being about as either valid or speculative as any and all others.

I pretty much figure we are screwed no matter who becomes President. Nobody is preventing trillions of dollars of derivatives from blowing up, so basically you need someone who is going to make it easy for small business to ramp up to make things that other countries made that will no longer trade with us. Trump is a no brainer! Bernie is figuring that he can come in and hand everything out for free and run the debt up even further. I have no idea why these so called smart people in Washington don’
t realize that the road they have been kicking the can down has ended! I give the FED enormous credit for keeping things running this long even though they are a bunch of vipers! The cracks are showing and this big Ponzi scheme is very close to crashing down!

It pains me to see how the Strauss & Howe loving TBP crowd can’t even recognize The Grey Champion when he’s staring them in the face. Maybe we should call him The Orange Champion. In the meantime, keep waiting for your mixtape slinging, open mic comedian Millennial savior to appear and take the reigns. You’ll be waiting for the duration.

As for Bernie, I know a lot of young white men who are all for him, thinking they are going to get some free shit. This is disturbing. As with any Democrat, only the fringes and freaks will receive token benefits so as to provide political capital for the next election. Yes, under a Sanders-led Soviet, women, minorities, college kids, children with three daddies and two mommies, and eunichs who think they are penguins will get some free shit. Middle-age, middle-class white males will just get shit. Nothing. Not even platitudes. They are going to pay for the elderly, young, and immigrant populations with everything they have. I wonder what swill they will be drinking when they can’t even afford PBR?

In response to artbyjoe’s question about who the VP’s will be, I would guess the following are on the short list:

Donald Trump: Sen. Jeff Sessions, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina

Hillary Clinton: Bernie, Eleanor Holmes Norton, Michael Bloomberg, Rhonda Rousey

Bernie Sanders: Karl Marx’s dusty corpse, Stephen Colbert, Clockmed, or an immigrant still dripping wet with the waters of the Rio Grande (name to be ascertained by ICE at a later date)

From NH and couldn’t decide between Trump and Cruz. Voted for Cruz. Ok, let the negatives add up and go all Goldman fucking Sacks on me. At least the man has read the Constipatution (as Eddie Murphy would say), would protect my second amendment rights, war on the IRS and EPA and piss off establishment rinos. Noone is perfect. It’s the next set of Supreme Court judges that matter the most, and I trust Cruz to nominate Constitutionalists more than Trumpster. The most disappointing result in the election was John Fucking Kasich coming in second. What an embarrasing douchebag moderate piece of shit.

Trump is a reforming Liberal who he had a come to your senses experience. He has rough edges but he is a spoiled billionaire from NYC where manners are significantly below Southern Standards; he is learning so how about give him a break. He loves America, he has a generous heart, he strongly believes in Common Sense and Individual Responsibility and he hates the Rockefeller NEOCON RINOs (and that means “You’re Fired”). His best endorsement is they hate him. He says he will vigorously defend our Security, protect Christianity, work to restore American Industry and Middle Class. He will flush Obama’s Executive Orders and policies to where Obama also belongs. He is smart and I bet Megan Kelly has taught him to make his words sweet or somebody will make him eat them. Putin respects Trump; do you think Putin will ever say that about Obama or Sanders? Pray for God to give Trump wisdom because he will be the next POTUS.

From the comments here, once again you prove my point that you’re voting AGAINST your own interests (that is, IF you vote-I can’t believe anyone with kids wouldn’t at least get off their fat ass and pull a lever)

How anyone here who pretends they’re interested in liberty and justice could possibly vote for Trump puzzles the hell out of me. He wants to (1) bring back waterboarding. Yep, he’s signalling to you that he intends to commit war crimes like the last GOP president (Cheney); AND he thinks Snowden is a traitor who deserves to hang. Of course anyone paying attention thinks Snowden is a hero for calling out the NSA lies about spying on innocent Americans (that’s you and me buster). So my takeaway on Trump is, he’s very shallow, doesn’t really look into anything beyond a headline, and he’s eager to piss all over the Constitution and Geneva Conventions……what a great start!

Fuck you all, I’m voting for Bernie and as stated in the previous thread I just INCREASED my donation. In the 18 hours after his aforementioned speech he raised $5.2 Million dollars. All of it, I might add, from regular old American working people; no PACs or special interest money.

Jokes on you if you give your cash to Bernie, he won New Hampshire, right? WRONG. Hillary pulled out more superdelegates in The Granite State and despite narrowly winning Iowa and getting crushed in NH, she is still ahead in the delegate count. Bernie can win the bulk of the remaining states and Hillary will still be the nominee because she owns the superdelegates. Bernie belongs to the wrong party, Communist, not Democrat. The Clinton machine owns the party.

So go ahead and argue about how you don’t like the way Trump folds his laundry. I don’t agree with the torture thing or hanging Snowden, but Snowden is safe in Russia and you are never going to agree 100% with a politician. He also has to say certain things to get elected, part of the game. It is him or Hillary “Too Big to Jail” Clinton.

HERE IS SOME SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR YOU MAGGOTS!!!The sparks of the tempest rage a hundred years on
The voice of the dreamer screams, the cause of the pawn
The King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game

Darkness is spreading like a spot on the sun
The dead are the living in age of the gun
While everyone clamors for the justice they seek
The world is corrupted and the strong take the weak

They mold you and shape you, they watch what you do
The sparks of the tempest are burnin’ you through
Spreading like wildfire, fallin’ like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain

The future is managed, and your freedom’s a joke
You don’t know the difference as you put on the yoke
The less that you know, more you fall into place
A cog in the wheel, there is no soul in your face

Run for the cover, Millennium’s here
Bearing the standard of confusion and fear
Spreading like wildfire, fallin’ like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain

Blood in the sand, cry in the street
Now the cycle is nearly complete
Ten thousand years, nothing was learned
No turning back, now the wheel has turned

Big brother is watching and he likes what he sees
A world for the taking, when he’s ready to squeeze
King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game

Soothsayer saying now tell me no lies
What is the madness that is filling the skies
Spreading like wildfire, fallin’ like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain

@Westcoaster: Bernie is a socialist. Why do you want to vote for someone who is likely to kill you? Talk about voting against your own best interests!

Most Socialists admit that in Lenin’s formulation, socialism is only an intermediate step; it is intended to lead to (and end in ) Communism. Socialist / Communist governments (just counting Lenin / Statin, Mao, Pol Pot, and similar) have murdered MILLIONS that disagreed with them (c.f. The Black Book of Communism), possibly 92 million:

They not only killed peasants, farmers (“kulaks”), small shopkeepers (“bourgeoisie”), and political opponents, they killed intellectuals, their own politicians (“Trotskyites”) and supporters! WHY DO YOU THINK A US SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT WOULD BE ANY DIFFERENT? Are you eager to become a victim of someone who thinks their ideas justify your death?

YOUR STUPIDITY AND LACK OF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND ARE IMMENSE. And if what you want comes to pass, the economy WILL collapse (further) and we will have another uncivil war. Be careful what you pray for, you might just get it.

I enjoy West disdaining those who don’t vote for their own narrow short term interest. He can’t understand why everyone else won’t vote to steal others money. So not just a lack of morals and character but also a good example of Bastiat’s bad economist.
