I don’t know why I always get a tear in my eye when I hear “Amazing Grace” …. even when a 600+ pound teenager sings it. (Well, I do know, but it’s a story I will likely never reveal here.)

I can easily make shadow butterflies. On a good day I can make a shadow wolf … with one hand! Maybe I’m just easily impressed. But, what this group does with shadows is just Friggin Amazing.

I know the story behind Amazing Grace —- briefly, John Newton was a slave trader, … captain of his own ship, … on one voyage home he encountered a terrible storm …. was certain the ship would sink, but it didn’t …. and God’s grace led to a conversion experience … and the song.

Stucky…..I remember when the comedians weren’t vulgar (saying Fuck didn’t exist); Johnathan Winters comes to mind (but many more).
It just struck me that it correlated to a more gentler civilization; respect actually existed.
Yes, I also remember the Smother’s Brothers.
This was also a time when police generally didn’t shoot you in the back (no weapon); before public employees became unionized; before our gov’t became completely corrupt, before 75% of town budgets went to ineffective public education, etc.
It is a little strange that I liked (and still like) George Carlin, not as a comedian, but for his no BS tirades on political subjects. In his case, I did not mind the language.
