More Awesome Voices

This will the last of this “series”.  First, it takes a helluva long time sifting through all the bullshit titles .. “best video ever!!, “world’s best singer ever!!” … “guaranteed to make you cry!!”, ad infinitum el shittem.  Second, I think all the great ones have been posted.  Third, I can’t remember what I posted previously. Getting old sucks!  Fourth,  can’t remember what I posted previously.

I don’t know why I always get a tear in my eye when I hear “Amazing Grace” …. even when a 600+ pound teenager sings it. (Well, I do know, but it’s a story I will likely never reveal here.)

Not overly talented …. there’s just something special about a 71 year old woman singing “KISS MY ASS!!

Just before this rather talented 12 year old starts singing, Simon gives him the middle finger.  WTF??

So nervous he can’t stop shaking.  Humble guy. Nice disposition. He’d never fit in here on TBP.

I can easily make shadow butterflies. On a good day I can make a shadow wolf … with one hand!  Maybe I’m just easily impressed. But, what this group does with shadows is just Friggin Amazing.

Stucky…..I remember when the comedians weren’t vulgar (saying Fuck didn’t exist); Johnathan Winters comes to mind (but many more).

It just struck me that it correlated to a more gentler civilization; respect actually existed.

Yes, I also remember the Smother’s Brothers.
This was also a time when police generally didn’t shoot you in the back (no weapon); before public employees became unionized; before our gov’t became completely corrupt, before 75% of town budgets went to ineffective public education, etc.

It is a little strange that I liked (and still like) George Carlin, not as a comedian, but for his no BS tirades on political subjects. In his case, I did not mind the language.

The only reason the Smothers Bros got canceled was politics. Nixon hated them.

Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s Turandot….

One of the greatest voices of our age…

Italian opera, man… always gets me.
