Greg: we moved to western NC last Oct and have never looked back. A number of events/perceptions could come together to form a “Perfect Storm” of death and destruction this fall. Negroes, led by the blm assholes, will increasingly realize that their black messiah will be gone in January. They could ramp up their violence to incredible levels as this realization sinks in. After the summer if Trump looks to actually be elected, the “protests” could become increasingly more violent even resulting in death. I believe the organizers of said protests really want censorship, they want to shut down Trump and prevent his thoughts and programs(good or bad) from being put before the American people. I’ve been around almost seven decades and I can’t remember seeing anything that remotely approaches this.

I realize lots of folks that visit TBP dislike the police, but I must say that those cops show a lot of restraint, even when pelted with eggs (and worse). This can only get worse as the California primary approaches.

@Francis Marion, that video led me to the backstory behind that hefty kid who defended himself. It’s compelling and good to see that most rallied around him. He put a damn good whoopin’ on that skinny, stupid aggressor.

During this interview, Casey is asked why he finally reacted after so many years of bullying. His response was that he’d had enough. Can the Trump supporters avoid reaching that breaking point? If they lose their patience with those Latino protestors, what will be the consequence?

Did you ever consider they have been ordered to “show restraint”? Think they might also have been ordered to allow an assassination during a Trump rally? Trump’s handlers are also probably dismissing the idea of plenty of private security for Trump for public perception reasons.

Trump should be employing some solid private security of his own outside the SS cordon.

Of course it is going to get ugly, the left sees a threat to their growing power and some of these parasites might have to work to live.

Newland is the highest altitude county seat east of the Rocky Mountains. I lived in Linville for a few years, late ’70s. Worked on the GGCC greens crew summertimes and on Beech Mountain during the winter. Fall and spring it was catch as catch can.

Sounds like Avery county has changed since then. It was a dry county back when lived there.

When leftists, in coordination between various groups, shut down Donald Trump’s event in Chicago back in March (with police officers and Trump supporters being assaulted and female Trump supporters receiving rape threats, not to mention anti-Trumpers blocking ambulances), I got into a discussion on FB with somebody whom I would classify as a leftist.

I told him that there is wisdom in avoiding places where we are not going to be welcome (in this context, due to political views). His response that was those individuals see imminent harm to their communities and that they do not have the luxury of being nice about displaying their beliefs. He did not specify what people groups these were, but I speculate he meant minorities (blacks and Latinos especially) and perhaps gays and women.

I pointed out that there are black people who support Trump – he said that “token blacks” supporting Trump do nothing to add any legitimacy to his campaign and that blacks who support him are delusional (he isn’t even black, though).

From there it degenerated, and he got personally offended and hostile. He refused to even consider that Trump supporters were assaulted as I told him they were (and as the news have shown), and his only remarks about that was “if what you said happened, fine.”

His position is that Trump is dangerous to the rights of minorities in America. But one thing I don’t get is this: Trump may have racist or white supremacist people among his supporters, but does this then mean that the other GOP candidates have had no a single racist person in their support? And are all the whites supporting Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders absolutely known not to be racist?

This friend furthermore refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing by the violent leftists who crashed Trump’s Chicago rally, and his response to the problems faced by Trump supporters at Trump rallies due to anti-Trump protesters was that he saw little if any wrong about them experiencing a measure of the negative backlash Trump is bringing to the country. He also blamed them by saying that if they are stupid enough to back somebody like Trump (whom he qualified as racist and violent), then they shouldn’t be surprised that this is what happens.

He got quite angry so we settled this outside of FB, but since then, he won’t even talk to me.

What struck me the most about that exchange was that this individual is somebody who views himself as a social justice activist (really – he has worked hand-in-hand in poor communities and he truly does care, so at least, he’s not a simple online warrior), and he sincerely feels Trump is dangerous. But the irony in this is that: he hates injustice and oppression, but when innocent people who simply happen to support a candidate he considers despicable and detestable are injured and assaulted, he shows no compassion and all but says it’s their fault.

As a feminist person, I wonder how he’d feel if I told him women who get raped bear the responsibility of being raped.

Now, mind you, this specific dude is rather intelligent and well-read. I disagree with him on many things but he’s well-read. And YET – if somebody with his academic credentials and actual community involvement can be this stubborn and this unwilling to acknowledge the violence of the left (a violence which is, in my view, absolutely guaranteed to backfire against the very causes the left happens to stand for), then I have ZERO expectations that the run-of-the-mill SJW/leftist will have even the smallest capacity or willingness to reason, and that they will abstain from this.

As other posters wrote, the more delegates Trump gets (I think he’ll definitely win Indiana and California), the more agitated the left will be. And while I’m not a violent person and while I tend to stay away from such public demonstrations, the time may be coming when these leftists will face either Trump supporters who will not simply stand by and allow themselves to be assaulted or LEOs who will not show the restraint those praiseworthy and professional police personnel in the video did.

The left is only shooting itself in the foot, and with each such episode, its hypocrisy becomes more and more glaring and public. That it fails to see this is yet another example of its inability or unwillingness (or both) to think rationally.

No, there was no violence. A calm conversation settled it. He got quite angry at the FB exchange; I was calm throughout, even when he began to get feisty.

But you raise an interesting point.

I only hope that he is never victimized in a mugging or robbery or what not by a person from a people group whom his ideology aggressively defends. I’ve noticed that this friend, however smart and well-intentioned, does not handle cognitive dissonance well. Facts that challenge his beliefs unsettle him. Bodily harm at the hands of somebody whom he’d defend by virtue of their gender or race would likely deeply upset him.
