Atlanta Georgia has much more than an insurance problem and I’m so glad I moved out of that minority managed liberal tax asylum. Their “IRS” sent me a letter saying “pay last years tax or they will take it”. I said tell it to Florida bitches. They wrote back demanding three forms of proof. I wrote back look at the return address and jump off a building.

I still have family that lives in metro Atlanta, and to be perfectly honest they are just too dumb to move out of that chimp hole. I figure anyone that stays in north Georgia deserves what is coming their way and that includes 65.2% increase in healthcare premiums, horrific traffic nightmares, chimpouts etc.
Good for you for having the good sense to get out of a no win situation that has become unlivable.

Don’t know where to look for the info but it’s gotta be somewhere.
How many people actually pay the full premium and how many get subsidized policies with government paying substantial portions or all of it for them?
And how is the deductible handled for those that are in the subsidized crowd, is it subsidized as well?

To the poster above me: Of the few enrollees who aren’t actually on Medicaid, I have no idea about breakdown of subsidy vs. out-of-pocket premium amounts.
I can answer the second question, though. Deductibles are subsidized on on the silver plans alone if the tax family makes less than 250% of the federal poverty level for that sized household. A dollar above the 250% mark, though, and you pay the entirety. The bronze-level plans offer no subsidy for the even higher deductible.

As was pointed out on March 20 of this year, “The Oregon Obamacare exchange has received $305 million in taxpayer-funded federal grants, spent $160 million on its busted website, dropped $10 million on hipster promotional ads, erroneously enrolled 4,000 illegal immigrants in full Oregon Health Plan coverage contrary to federal law, and has not enrolled a single Oregonian online.”
