I watched this guy and I thought of my brother who committed suicide 15 years ago because he had IRS problems and his wife was a bitch.
He was not mentally disturbed, he just saw that as an escape. He was weak willed and he died. But he had all his faculties and was a handsome man. He was smart and witty but lacked what this guy has, and that’s the proper perspective on life.
I admire guys who overcome their handicaps and shine like a diamond in life.

Life isn’t hard if you look at it like a game. There are smart ways and dumb ways to play a game. The smarter you play the easier it is. It could just be the whole “power of positive pessimism” way I frame everything…..Expect the worst out of every situation and when that doesn’t happen, it’s a good day.
For me the toughest part is the little things. Little things tend to irritate and piss me off disproportionately whereas big things make me dig in to overcome.
That is it in a nutshell, thankful and blessed. Nothing is half empty ever, it is always half full!

It’s unfortunate that folks react that way, they make him out as an object worthy of pity rather than an inspiration. Pity is a useless emotion and self-pity is worse.
My grandfather had this painting hanging in his kitchen – as a kid I never realized what it ment – I do now.
The trick is not to focus on what you can’t do or don’t have but rather on what you can do and what you already got. Then once you figure it out… be grateful for what you have and do what you can well.
