If there ever was a Devil, some say the biggest lie he ever told was to convince the world he didn’t exist. Yet, in truth, the adherents of most religions believe there is a Prince and Power of the Air wreaking daily havoc in the affairs of mankind both great and small. Surely, if there is God to whom they pray, than the author of such death and destruction, evil turnings and hellfire’s burning cannot be Him. Ancient writings identify this Yang to God’s Yin as Lucifer, the Bright and Morning Star, a dark angel who masquerades as a bearer of light and now is named the Fallen One. According to both ancient scripture and medieval legend, this angelic being, once shining like a star, fell from the heavens for the pride in his heart and an abundance of trade that filled him with violence.
The musician Mick Jagger, of the rock group The Rolling Stones, sings regarding this elusive and enigmatic entity as follows:

Is it true? Is the devil a sophisticated, lover of wealth and violence responsible for the Russian Revolution, the Blitzkrieg of World War II, the turbulent 1960s, the spate of recent cop killings and the worldly success of the repulsive reprobates who are daily glorified in our media today? Or, is the devil, in fact, us: We the people making bad decisions and randomly colliding with one another while wearing our personal protective gear consisting of selfishness, pride, greed, hate and fear? Did we really kill the Kennedys? If not us, then who? Because it sure as hell wasn’t Lee Harvey Oswald and his magic bullet or for the reasons as stated in Sirhan Sirhan’s diary.
Here is where the self-perceived “voices of reason” will label the devil as imaginary and the questioning of official narratives as “conspiracy theories”. If this is the case, then why, in 1967, would the U.S Central Intelligence Agency’s Clandestine Services Unit need to write a dispatch marked “psychological operations” in order to label any questioning of the official narrative of the Kennedy assignations as “conspiracy theories”? If the narratives are true, then why would the CIA have any reason to engage in “countering and discrediting the claims of the conspiracy theorists”, and to “employ propaganda assets to refute the attacks of the critics” and identify “book reviews and feature articles” as “particularly appropriate for this purpose“?
Furthermore, in this same dispatched memo, the CIA conspired to label critics of the official government narrative as:
(I) wedded to theories adopted before the evidence was in, (II) politically interested, (III) financially interested, (IV) hasty and inaccurate in their research, or (V) infatuated with their own theories.
So who engages in real conspiracy? Those questioning the government? Or those in power? In any event, there is no denying the term “conspiracy theory” is an absolutely perfect way to create contempt prior to investigation within the minds of the public regarding the challenge to any official narrative. According to Merriam-Webster, the word “conspire” means: “to secretly plan with someone to do something that is harmful or illegal”. Who ever heard of such a thing in all of the history of mankind? Why, it is unthinkable.
No, on the contrary; it is history. On April 27, 1961 John F. Kennedy spoke before the American Newspaper Publishers Association in an address that later became known as his “Secret Society” speech. In this address President Kennedy stated the following:
“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence: on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed– and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy.”
Thirty months later, President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963.
Was a U.S. president, indeed, killed for threatening those behind the scenes within the tyrannous halls of power? Now consider that even prior to President Kennedy, President Dwight D. Eisenhower also called out those behind the curtain. In his farewell address on January 17, 1961, Ike solemnly stated the following:
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”
Yet, today, more than a half century later, it is obvious the American citizenry has renounced their responsibility in holding the global elite power brokers in check. Therefore, it is no surprise how the nations soon heard of the “dreams of a New World Order” by President George H. W. Bush in his speech to the United States Congress on September 11, 1990.
So who then is in control of the controllers?
Is it the international bankers in charge of the Federal Reserve System? The members of the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg Group? The supranational and global organizations such as the European Union, United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the proposed North American Union? The Rothschild family? Is it the ancestors of the Elders of Zion who many say were behind the Russian Revolution and some still claim is the driving force behind Communism today?
Could it be any one group from a veritable buffet of Western Esoteric movements including the Rosicrucians, Freemasons, Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Occultic Modern Paganists, Wiccans or New Agers? Could it be some or all of the above?
Or, could the wizards behind the curtain actually be members of a secret society recognized as the Order of the Illuminati; also known as the Enlightened Ones? Well, at least the Order of the Illuminati used to be secretive. Today, they have their own website which states:
“The Illuminati is an elite organization of world leaders, business authorities, innovators, artists, and other influential members of this planet. Our coalition unites influencers of all political, religious, and geographical backgrounds to further the prosperity of the human species as a whole.”
And,
“In 2013, the Illuminati authorized the formation of the Department Of Citizen Outreach. Through various initiatives and campaigns, including this website, the modern Illuminati has committed itself to furthering our relationship with our citizens. You may not find us praised in any history book or document. However, the Illuminati has helped with every major movement on this planet since the first human government was established. Our work is often marked by distinct symbols as a means of tracing our influence through history for those wishing to investigate.”
Of course no one can be completely certain if the Illuminati website is a hoax or if it is genuine. According to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the URL is registered to a subsidiary of GoDaddy.com by the name of Domains By Proxy, LLC out of Scottsdale, Arizona.
For it to be true, however it would have to align with President Kennedy’s assessment as follows:
“It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.”
And, according to the website of the Enlighted Ones themselves, this “highly efficient machine” would have to be:
“marked by distinct symbols as a means of tracing our influence through history for those wishing to investigate”.
Paradoxically, there are symbols left like trails of bread crumbs and blood all throughout history ranging from the All-Seeing Eye of Providence on the Great Seal of the United States, the U.S Dollar and logos including the CBS and AOL corporations; Pyramids ranging from the Great Pyramids of Giza to logos for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) information office; The Owl of Minerva on coins minted for various nations throughout the centuries and on modern buildings like the Frost Bank Tower in Austin, Texas; and the Pentagram, which is the inverted Star of David, on the Freemason’s Order of the Eastern Star diagram and even configured by the streets of Washington DC.
For those who believe this is all sounds like a bunch of vacuous voodoo, multiple sources identify the modern Illuminati beginning as a political movement founded on May 1, 1776 by Johann Adam Weishaupt, a professor of cannon law at the University of Ingolstadt and a former Jesuit. Although the Illuminati, Freemasonry, and other secret societies were outlawed less than a decade later by the Bavarian ruler, Charles Theodore, upon request of the Roman Catholic Church; they continued underground and were responsible for the French Revolution. Multiple theorists contend a variety of other historical events were coordinated by the Illuminati including the Battle of Waterloo. President John F. Kennedy’s assignation and an alleged communist plot to facilitate the New World Order by subverting the Hollywood film industry.
In his writings, Adam Weishaupt claimed it was necessary to establish a “universal regime and empire over the whole world”. Ironically, this quote is written right on the U.S. Dollar as “Novus Ordo Seclorum” which is Latin for “New Order of the Age of Secularism”. This means when the Iridescent Ones were tripping the light fantastic, they found it difficult to skirt the theological. In the Bavarian Government’s Report against the Illuminati, they claimed:
“…the expressed aim of this Order was to abolish Christianity, overthrow all civil government and abolish all private property rights”.
In other words, like the Enlightened Ones of today, it is not the Muslims, the Hindus and the Buddhists whom they hate; oh no, it is Christianity, Judaic Law and individual liberty that they abhor the most.
Furthermore, Carroll Quigley in his book “Tragedy and Hope: The History of the World in Our Time” exposed the takeover of the world financial system by “The Order” when he wrote on page 51:
“In time the (the “Order”) brought into their financial network the provincial banking centers, organized as commercial banks and savings banks, as well as insurance companies, to form all of these into a single financial system on an international scale which manipulated the quantity and flow of money so that they were able to influence, if not control, governments on one side and industries on the other.”
And on page 950-955 of his book, Quigley writes regarding the desired secrecy of the Order as follows:
“I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been closed to it and many of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently to a few of its policies… but in general, my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960’s, to examine its papers and secret records.”
Of course Quigley is referring to “round table groups” like the Rhodes Scholarship, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergs, the Club of Rome and the Trilateral Commission.
Therefore, if the Illuminati do, in fact, exist today, how do they orchestrate the course of world events and influence the destiny of mankind? Some claim they accomplish their goals via “Ordo ab chao”; or “order out of chaos”. In other words, “conflicts bring change” and “controlled conflict brings controlled change”. This means whenever you hear a politician speak of “change”, “hope and change”, or “fundamental change” what they really are promising is conflict in order to bring about their desired change. This is done through the use of the Hegelian Dialectic; a method of operation made known during the 1800s by the German philosopher George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. The Hegelian method creates change when a “thesis” is transformed into an “antithesis” and then when the combination of both is resolved by “synthesis”. A simpler way to describe it is as follows:
Crisis (thesis) + Solutions (antithesis) = Change (Synthesis)
Many believe the Hegelian Dialectic was responsible for the financial crisis of 1906 leading to the Federal Reserve Act of 1913; World War I creating League of Nations; World War II forming the United Nations; the 911 attacks bringing about the Patriot Act with the ensuing societal surveillance; and the War on Terror combined with the collapse of our current Bretton Woods financial system, the international migration crisis and the increased breakdown of civil law in the Western nations now guiding us into a political and economic New World Order.
So far, it appears everything is right on schedule.
In the meantime, a large percentage of Americans still live and love: they lead moral lives, make positive decisions and strive for the betterment of future generations. These people eat the bread provided to them from ten corporations and enjoy circuses through the lens of the six corporations comprising the mainstream media. And for those not overly preoccupied with football, basketball, baseball, the latest phone app, pop song or keeping up with the Kardashians; they watch the chaos explode on television, read as it unfolds in the newspapers and see it unwind online by the hour. They wonder why those in power are gloatingly guiding them down into the inevitable death and destruction of the dark abyss. And they ask themselves: If the devil made them do it, how can this be when he remains unseen? But they are looking for the devil in all the wrong places. Perhaps he is in the details after all.

Except that Lucifer, the fallen one, the serpent etc etc actually precede Pan and Christianity both by millenia. The book of Job in the old testament is AT LEAST 4-6,000 years old with evidence of this being a pre-writing historical account which was passed along verbally before inclusion in the ancient semitic texts. Pan can only be traced back to its greek origins where Pan is actually a benevolent character which guards the flocks.

That’s odd. The old devil shows up in the book of Genesis, written long before Christ walked the earth. He is also a main character in the Job story. In both instances, his goal was the destruction of human beings. He remains consistent to this day. Right now he is up to his eyeballs getting a nuclear war to unfold while managing the US presidential election.
Christianity has never been biophobic. If anything, its fault revolves around the idea that God gave man the earth to exploit for profit, with some obvious disastrous consequences.

We have many clues that lead us to evidence of collusion and
conspiracy among identifiable groups. Perhaps the evidence
of our gov being willing to bomb, drone, destroy cities and
people is enough to know evil exists. I think it is.
While the crimes against humanity pile up, and are in clearer
focus, many maintain, “it’s just politics.” Murdering innocents
is some horrible politics. And it looks like we are entering another phase of war “to divert attention from the banker’s crimes.”
People say this casually. Others are warning of a “war” against

Thanks for the complements. No, not a writer by trade. Avid reader, written communications for work, writing down thoughts and I’ve enjoyed putting poems together since a young age. I see others post and comment here every day and find it inspiring. Although I lost hope a while back, I now figure WTF. Might as well go down swinging. For me, that was the choice.
Plus, another thing I really enjoy about this website is the overall diversity. Like here on TBP there are posters and commenters who are Irish Americans, German Americans, Conservative Canadians, Liberal Canadians, business owners, truck drivers, southern rednecks, anarchists, libertarians, young people, old people, people in the middle, Indians, homosexual ex-military guys, former government agents, women, a farmer and a Mexican. That’s what I call diversity.

I’ve been working for a long time trying to understand the mechanisms behind these secret societies. For if they exist, they must be using some sort of occult force in order to exert control over people. It is this force that interests me most. Because forces, like gravity, and magnetism, have physical properties that can be defined. The force must be strong, for it has been effective. It must be simple, because it requires no advanced technology. There can be no electromagnetic technology invloved, because this force predates all electromagnetic devices. Most important of all, it has been kept completely secret. Which implies that even the members of these secret societies have no clue how it actually works. They just know that it works. Without even knowing what it is!
I believe I understand enough to be able to form a hypothesis. I believe what we’re dealing with here involves quantum entanglement induced by shared symbolism.
Each neuron is composed of millions of tubulin protein molecules. These have been shown to superimpose and conduct quantum computer type calculations that transcend space. I believe that quantum entanglement is constantly occurring not just between tubulin molecules within our own neurons, and not just within multiple neurons of our own brains, but also within multiple neurons of multiple brains. Yes, I am saying that all our minds are linked by countless superpositions which are constantly collapasing and reforming in a seemingly random manner. And its not just our minds. Every cell in the body contains microtubules composed of countless tubulin molecules that can all undergo superposition. These superpositions form a field that some of us can even see with their eyes (auras).
Normally, a quantum entanglement of 0.0000000000001% of the tubulin molecules of a person’s brain with those of another person’s brain means basically nothing. It is happening constantly and has no significant impact on the consciousness of either individual. But each time you introduce a symbol to both their brains, you are altering these quantum entanglements. This could in theory allow you to transfer a small bit of information from one consciousness to another, or rather one sub-consciousness to another. Its sort of like downloading a virus over a very slow internet connection. Eventually the download completes and the individuals mind is compromised. Every time you see one of these special symbols, such as the rising sun, or a pyramid, or an all seeing eye, it is altering your subconscious. To what end? I suspect that not even the illuminati know. They just know that it gives them power, somehow. I believe that all their crazy rituals are based on a similar notion. The checkered floors, the obelisks, all of it, they dont know how it works, just that it does.

a) Beware the False Dilemma; is it A or B? Sometimes the answer is not one or the other. Sometimes it’s both. Sometimes it’s neither.
Is it evil or conspiracies? I submit it’s neither. It’s human nature in all its foibles.
b) We invented God to give us comfort. We invented the Devil to avoid accepting responsibility for our actions. We call the harmful actions of others Evil. None of those are real except humans. And, none of this should be a surprise considering that ours is an insane, twisted and self-loathing Judeo-Christian culture.
c) Our brains are hard-wired to detect conspiracies where none exist.
Given a choice between explaining something as either conspiracy or incompetence, usually but not always the correct answer is stupidity.
That’s not to say there aren’t people striving to steal, tax, fleece, cover-up and control us. Of course there are. Always have been, always will be. Psychopaths have such contempt for us they enjoy leaving signs of their malfeasance. But, they aren’t a monolithic bloc reading off the same song sheet; they’re various overlapping groups who don’t hesitate to throw one another under the bus. Greed, avarice and the psychopathic drive to control are not a conspiracy; they’re human failings.

I’ve actually got a half written piece in the same vein as yours today. No where near as eloquent but I hope it helps to show people how evil the fed really is and how they control so much of our lives and the world. My heart’s not in it at the moment though. I’m sick of reading and discussing the myriad things that ail us. Politics, education, wars of choice, education, corruption……at some point we have to distill it down to the lowest common denominator………..fix it and then reclaim our freedom and liberty.

That said, on page 16 of Albert Mackey’s book “Lexicon of Freemasonry” it defines “Acacian” as “a term signifying a Mason, who by living in strict obedience to the obligations and precepts of the Masonic Fraternity is free from sin.” Some claim this qualifies Freemasonry as religion while at the same time; contradicting John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 of the Bible.
Masonry does much good as far as its homes for children and Shriner’s Burn Centers are concerned. Because of this, some people believe Masonry is Bible based. But many Christian theologians claim Masonry is not based upon the Bible.
In his book “Introduction to Freemasonry”, Clark H. Claudy states the following on page 38: “In his private petitions, a man may petition God Jehovah, Allah or Buddha, Mohammed or Jesus. He may call upon the God of Israel or the first great cause. In the Masonic Lodge, he learns petitions to the Great Architect of the Universe finding his own deity under that name. A hundred paths may wind upward around a mountain, at the top they all meet”.
This seems to conflict with: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1st Timothy 2:5-6).
But who really knows for sure.

Basically describing how god uses masks to lead his people in correct directions. Buddha, God, Jehova, Mohammed….. The same God..
I believe he does this because we are imperfect, and culturally different in many ways. Because of the language barrier, he uses symbology to speak to us. Symbols are universal. Think of Math. The rabbit hole goes deep, but most Masons are content with twice a month reading of the minutes and brotherhood, which is also a great aspect of it.

How can the Jehovah-God — who does a lot of killing (the flood, his own Son, etc.) be the same as Budda-God who does none of these things, and even has no concept of heaven and hell?

Here’s the thing. There are, of course, opposing forces that keep everything in equilibrium, that’s physics. On many levels we aren’t aware of them, but in this instance every human being that has the capacity for thought and action is. And we make choices, daily, hourly, even minute by minute whether to move toward one pole or the other. I don’t think that there are any ‘pure’ hearts anymore than there are ‘true evil’, but most people fall into one camp or the other. The more you move towards one, the more profound the effects of that polarity. People who are drawn to or incline in the direction of evil, experience the world through that lens, ditto those who try to live good lives. The outer experience- that we all die, suffer, live and experience joy- are not exclusive. Good people suffer, bad people have fun, but there is something profoundly different in the quality of the experience in life depending on the choices we make-

Jesus told a parable. A man is dying in the ditch. A holy man who knew all the rules, and even supposedly lived by them, just passed him by. A loathed Samaritan, considered a heathen, helped the dying man. Who was considered righteous?
But in Ephesians 2:8-9, it is written:
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
“…through faith—and this is not from yourselves,”
I have never been able to reconcile that statement with reality. Grace is not from us, but faith? That’s 100% on our shoulders. It is a choice that must be made of one’s own free will, how can that not be “from ourselves (sic)”?
Verse 10 in Ephesians 2 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Which means God prepared us in advance but it has to be activated through faith. Romans 8:29-30 says, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” This means predestination must not preclude free will.
You can’t understand God by thinking in a linear manner. He is outside of our understanding of time.

— A. You MUST have faith because no one comes to God except by faith.
— B. No one’s faith is good enough!!
How can both A and B be true??
Maybe by providing a “C” option? God even has to provide the faith you need. In other words, even the qualification for receiving the gift (faith) is a gift itself.
One sees this in at least a couple places in the Bible;
— 1) Peter boldly proclaims that he will never deny his faith in Jesus. Then, just before Peter does deny him, Jesus says: — “… but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.
— 2) A man brings his epileptic boy to Jesus for healing. The disciples were unable to heal the boy, and Jesus condemned the “unbelieving generation”. Jesus then tells the father — “Everything is possible for one who believes.”. The father cries out, “I believe!”, and then wisely adds — “help thou my unbelief”
All I can say is that it seems these verses teach that we need to believe …. and even need help believing. That may or may not help … but, it’s all I got.

Well, well, well! I’m rarely at a loss for words, except when the Misses is blaming me for something I didn’t do.
An interesting read and an interesting take on things. Even Stucky chimed in with his razor sharp logic. Is it true what Uncola sez, that ‘he that shall not be named’ is responsible for (put any bad thing that has ever happened to mankind here) or us? That’s a good question, deserving of a good answer. But… to answer it properly one must come to some realization about man and his place in the universe. What is man? Where did he come from? Where is he going? (Sounds like “Ancient Aliens”, doesn’t it) haha!
There’s never been a consensus that answers these fundamental questions. Therefore, there are a variety of answers about cosmology and mans place in it. However, it all boils down to ‘beliefs’.
Here are my thoughts on the question of whether the ‘devil made me do it’.
Man is quite capable of doing all the things Uncola and others have attributed to the devil. Perhaps this is Projection, where man seeks a scapegoat to absolve himself of all wrong doing for his despicable behavior or maybe it stems from a much deeper avoidance on the part of Man. Man does have within himself a conscience no matter how under utilized or seemingly absent. From the beginning man has tried to absolve himself from the consequences of his actions. Adam said, “Eve made me do it”. Cain said to God when asked the whereabouts of Able, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
My beliefs rests upon my understanding of man’s relationship to God. I will confess that my take follows pretty much Edgar Cayce’s take on that relationship. All souls were created at the same time and were of God– were God as all that is-is God, nothing is outside of God– with the greatest gifts of Love, and that was, we have individuality and free will. Free Will to choose, to choose God’s plan for his creation and be a co-creator with Him or not. It was not so much a rebellion in Heaven as a subtle slipping away from God by creating outside of God’s plan for His creation. Our remembrance of our heritage as sons of God diminished as we became more entrenched in matter. Our resurrection is to return to that remembrance of our nature and joining again the Creative Force. This is the real meaning behind the “Parable of the Prodigal Son”. This I think is the greatest of all the Parables as it offers, unbidden hope. It reveals the true nature of God and His Love for his creation. “God has willed that no soul shall be lost”, therefore none shall be. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t experience the consequences of our creations, we will. It’s called Karma.
Is there a devil? Edgar Cayce said there was a real being that could be considered so, but most all the evil we experience in this life is of our own making. Remember, the Serpent doesn’t force you to do evil. Not even, God forces you. Why would the devil have more power over you than God? The Serpent beguiles and coaxes you to do what you have a desire to do. That’s why he is called the great seducer. You are responsible. You made the choice. From now on, choose wisely!
