Controlled Burn: Smoke, No Fire

by Uncola for TheBurningPlatform.com

On December 5th, 2016, a brave and noble Texas paramedic by the name of Christopher Suprun, wrote his opinion in the New York Times and single-handedly declared Donald Trump to be a domestic enemy of the United States.  As one of the 538 members of the Electoral College, Suprun made his stand against the will of 62,759,366 misguided Trump voters and 65,383,628 ill-advised Hillary Clinton supporters in favor of Governor John Kasich of Ohio, or someone like him.

With a few strokes of his keyboard, this lone Texan expressed his willingness to repudiate the 2016 Republican Primaries whereby Kasich, and others like him, lost; and, at the same time, challenged the entire presidential election in a way only Henry Fonda, as Juror 8, could appreciate.

To his credit, Mr. Suprun claimed President Elects should NOT be “disqualified for policy disagreements” or because “they won the Electoral College instead of the popular vote”.

Instead, United States Presidents must be approved according to their leadership skills, their ability to unite the nation as compared to George W. Bush, and the response time of Tweets regarding late night television entertainment or knife attacks by Muslim immigrants on college campuses.

Suprun wrote:

George W. Bush is an imperfect man, but he led us through the tragic days following the attacks. His leadership showed that America was a great nation. That was also the last time I remember the nation united.

And

Mr. Trump goes out of his way to attack the cast of “Saturday Night Live” for bias. He tweets day and night, but waited two days to offer sympathy to the Ohio State community after an attack there.

Next, Mr. Suprun resurrected the ghosts of Ronald Reagan and Alexander Hamilton as his standards to which incoming Presidents must be compared.  And, sadly, President Elect Donald Trump appears to be lacking.

In the assessment of the current paramedic and former New York City fireman:

Mr. Trump lacks the foreign policy experience and demeanor needed to be commander in chief. During the campaign more than 50 Republican former national security officials and foreign policy experts co-signed a letter opposing him. In their words, “he would be a dangerous president.” During the campaign Mr. Trump even said Russia should hack Hillary Clinton’s emails. This encouragement of an illegal act has troubled many members of Congress and troubles me.

No mention was made whatsoever of the 88 retired U.S. generals and admirals who supported the Trump Campaign or the fact a majority of veterans and those currently serving in the military preferred Trump over Hillary Clinton by a margin of 3 to 1.  But remember, Suprun is a firefighter who served during the 911 attacks in New York City.  His opinion does matter.  Of course, he is looking out for American citizens like for his own children, he must follow his conscience and do what he feels is best.  He cares.

Although Trump’s humorous statement about Russia finding Hillary Clinton’s e-mails in order to point out the irony of Hillary Clinton’s illegally deleted e-mails, obviously, buzzed right over the head of Mr. Suprun.  Perhaps nuance is a trait reserved especially for liberal Democrats and is, therefore, lost on certain Texas Republicans.

Next, we are reminded of how presidents should not be “demagogues” and that Trump urged violence against protesters at his campaign rallies.  No mention was made, however, that the violence was proven to be a Democratic Party initiative. Why was this fact ignored in Suprun’s editorial?

Mr. Suprun then lamented regarding Trump’s pick for national security adviser without letting us know who Hillary Clinton, or John Kasich, or someone like John Kasich, might have chosen.  Furthermore, he expressed his concern that Trump might choose to expand his business dealings in “Argentina, Bahrain, Taiwan and elsewhere” as opposed to, perhaps, making America great again.

Unproven allegations were also addressed regarding Trump’s possible violation of the Cuban embargo, along with unresolved acts of apparent racism and the Trump Foundation’s vaguely suspected “improprieties” before Suprun made his penultimate closing argument for John Kasich, or someone like him:

The election of the next president is not yet a done deal. Electors of conscience can still do the right thing for the good of the country. Presidential electors have the legal right and a constitutional duty to vote their conscience. I believe electors should unify behind a Republican alternative, an honorable and qualified man or woman such as Gov. John Kasich of Ohio. I pray my fellow electors will do their job and join with me in discovering who that person should be.

Finally, the following reminder and promise to America was proclaimed:

Fifteen years ago, I swore an oath to defend my country and Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. On Dec. 19, I will do it again.

Yes.  We need to return to our basic principles and start all over.  We must defend the Constitution of the United States.

We shall never allow a domestic enemy of America to become our president.  Never.

Thank you for your service, Mr. Suprun.

As a potentially disenfranchised voter, I mean this most sincerely.

Guys like him sure are lucky we trump voters are so polite. Im getting really tired of being dictated to by the likes of him. He should just do what he is appointed to do and shut the fuck up about it. If anyone wanted john kasich, he would have won he primary. He didn’t, so its not up to you to decide for others. Doesn’t work that way here.

See you on the other side of the battlefield Mr. Suprun. Hope you still know how to aim a weapon so that it won’t be too one sided while you are defending “your” Constitution.

Good article Uncola.I had just read about this bozo on another site. What a lying little cream puff he is.
There is a group of lawyers attempting to persuade electors to change their vote.Apparently their compromise candidate is John Kasich.I’ve never liked Kasich since he was in Congress and I like him less now.

Results of the election are not good enough. We must come up with a more definitive way to select a president. The people who say that violence never settles anything are wrong . Perhaps a little violence will convince electors to abide by the spirit of the electoral system. Maybe violence will settle what the electoral system is.

Lots of information coming out about this guy — a lot of it doesn’t add up. He’s a NYFD dude he claims, but hails from NOVA. He uses a PR group connected to Van Jones, and his district in Dallas voted over sixty percent for Hillary, but he was supposedly a Cruz supporter.
And then we have the “Hamilton electors” from CO…who are Dems also pushing Kasich, and the Jill Stein “recount that saved democracy”.

And he won’t vote for Trump because Steve Bannon said nice things about Darth Vader???wt??? That’s almost too dumb to sound like a set up…paid off patsy?
Something’s being manufactured, just what exactly at this point I don’t know.

Greetings,

Ya know what? Ya know how none of these klowns saw any of this coming? Wanna know what else they do not see coming? Ill tell ya.

These hysterical exhibitionists have no clue that serious adults are having serious conversations about a “final solution” to deal with these perverts and communists. They are fully unaware of the fact that more guns were purchased on Black Friday then there are US Marines. These weapons are not being bought to be used as door stops and hood ornaments now are they?

These fools keep toying around with Civil War and have zero understanding that a determined Squad of, say, Combat Engineers could leave a place like New York City with no functioning infrastructure and do so easily.

The war wont last long as darkness, hunger & thirst will do 99% of the heavy lifting. Remember, their source of political power is the city so all that needs to be done is to turn the lights off there and set up road blocks so that no one can leave. War over. Problem solved.

I read the twaddle this nitwit published as an explanation for his outrageous intentions. This guy is a typical old-style RINO moron. There are millions of them but there will be far fewer once Trump has had a chance to get through to the meathead crowd. These #NeverTrump assholes spew this crap about Washington, Lincoln and Hamilton (the very worst of the Founding Fathers, by the way, a British agent and not even a real American – he was the son of some penniless whore living on some sugar slave island in the Caribbean; Hamilton did not understand the true nature of America and Americans because he wasn’t one) and claim Trump does not deserve to be president because, well, because! Suprun has accomplished one thing, other than exposing himself as a brainless twit. He has opened some eyes to the danger of tolerating these people. I understand they are taking up a petition to have him removed as an elector. I wish the petition God speed.

The sad part about the current situation is that it is just so very unnecessary. Pretty much all conservative/libertarians are more than willing to let the “progressives” live however they want to. “You want free condoms, you want safe spaces and politically correct speech, that’s fine, just don’t expect us to take part or pay for it!” On the other hand, the progressives will NOT let us live our own lives as we see fit — and they are perfectly willing to use violence to see that we comply. No, they are not (usually) willing to do the violence themselves, but they will gladly get the state to shoot and cage for them.

It saddens me, but at some point, after other methods fail, self defense dictates that attackers be met with violence in return. These eternal busybodies are just too friggin stupid to leave us alone.

Just something to think about . . .

If there is violence in the streets to resolve our “irreconcilable divisions”, the journey to totalitarian government will be complete. Those in power (Ruling class government types at all levels) will use violence in the streets as an excuse to declare marshal law and take away all guns, door to door if necessary. The ruling class has been pushing us back to Feudalism for some time now (20+ years as far as I can tell, maybe 30+). Violence in the streets will give the ruling class what they need to make the final push to total control.

If you’re thinking “from my cold dead hands”, consider this. When the authorities are at the door for your guns and they are ready to kill your wife and kids to get your guns what are you going to do??

The British weren’t going house to house for guns. They were retrieving centrally stored gunpowder and some cannons that had been stolen. If the British had gone house to house confiscating firearms first, the fighting at Concord and Lexington wouldn’t have happened.

Hey Lostokie! I am sincere when I say that you raise very good questions. The fact is, if we ever get to the point that things move to violence in the street, at that time, the country will already be dissolved. The only question is, “what kind of new country will it be when the fighting stops?” This question has been raised in the past. 1861 to 1865 comes to mind. Just as happened then, there is no single scenario that describes all areas. IF (and this is still a big “IF”) the current political situation were to move to violence, some areas such as NYC, DC, LA, Boston, Atlanta, would almost certainly accept door to door searches and a heavy military presence in every neighborhood. On the other hand, not every area would go along with that. Not every member of the military would go along with that either. Once the military is split, all bets are off. How would the pieces settle? No one knows. The only sure thing is that if everyone, civilians and military, acquiesce to be disarmed, the only likely possibility is a resulting tyranny.

You ask, “When the authorities are at the door for your guns and they are ready to kill your wife and kids to get your guns what are you going to do??” Good question, really. Personally, I hope to arrange my affairs in such a way that it does not come to that. If it does come to that, well, my children are grown and on their own. They will have to make the decisions for themselves and their children. As for me and the wife, we are both relatively old and would have (almost certainly) only the options of submit or die. We have discussed both responses.

Personally I would rather die than surrender my guns and I know many like minded people as well. 2nd amendment is there to protect us against a tyrANNICAL GOVERNMENT WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT exists now. This is long overdue to take out the trash in our country from the bottom to the top. Numbers, veterans, military, police, are on our side. I do not advocate violence and avoid it at all costs, but if your going to come for the guns to complete the take over of America as has been the plan for over 100 years (see Cecil Rhodes and roundtable groups aka council on foreign relations, plus Rockefellers, Ford Foundation, Carnegie Foundation, Rothchilds, central banks, MSM.) then its on and guess who is going to get crushed, not us.

Obviously, the math is such that enforcement can only go to a few hundred doors per week, per squad. Don’t you think that the “rebels” would be smart enough to move the battle space away from their home to a location to a place and time of their choosing. In war nothing is static, move counter move.

More often than not I seem to be motivated to write about that which makes me angry.

This essay above was no different.

Then I start asking myself what is making me angry.

It is because this country voted for a peaceful revolution last month and barely pulled off an Electoral College win.

Yet, in spite of this, there are those trying to dishonestly maintain the status quo and if they succeed, they will have removed peaceful options from future consideration.

Maybe this is what they want. Maybe they are foolish, or merely deceived.

Either way, if they don’t start respecting the rules, the Grim Reaper’s going to grab the wheel and steer the mighty convoy right down the road to hell.

Rise Up, there is nothing in the Constitution that requires the State electors to cast their vote “to reflect the will of the people of Texas.” Several states have state laws requiring them to do so, but, to the best of my knowledge, the suit filed in Colorado recently is the first test of those laws.

What’s so humorous is that he cites tweets about SNL as a reason Trump isn’t presidential material. Last time I checked the founders wanted a nation “for the people, by the people.” We can argue that Mr. Trump is part of a billionares club and not one of us common slobs but you know what, when I think SNL or some tee-vee show is bullshit propaganda, I tell my friends. Should cut to the chase nicely.

The state’s authority rests upon its being seen as legitimate by the people governed or, barring that, on brute force.

Once Suprun and his pals destroy what is left of the consent of the governed, the Civil War is on. Best for all in the long run, I believe (well, not best for the dead lefty narcissists who can’t leave their fellow citizens in peace, but that’s the point of the civil war).

Why is it that anyone who was a firefighter or police officer from 9/11 is revered as some sort of bigger than life superhero. There are plenty of folks that don’t wear a uniform that have performed far more heroic things than this guy, and you never hear about them – most of the time by the choice of the hero themselves. Just like the 9/11 families, every time they disagree with something, or want to take a “stand” on something, we are supposed to just snap at attention and take their opinion or thought as gospel and not push back because they are “heros”. I for one don’t give a rip about the Sandy hook parents, the 9/11 survivors, the Florida nightclub survivors or anyone else who was involved or a victim of a large nationally media worshiped crime. They have no more weight of authority than the local man who was beaten by the black thug for simply walking in to the wrong store, or the woman who is brutalized simply for leaving work a little later in the evening, and being attractive to a horny, homicidal yute.
These people get their 15 minutes of fame on the Today show, and then their egos tell them they are “special”. Shut up, no one cares.
