An invading horde of relatives, friends and neighbors will be descending upon the Quinn household in another hour or so. We’ve been making the house presentable over the last few days and I picked up the roast beast, meatballs, tomato pie, hoagie tray, Philly soft pretzels and calzones from Corpolese bakery this morning. The cases of beer are on ice. It’s time for the festivities to begin. The first arrivals will be around 3:00 pm and the last departures will probably be around 2:00 am. I should hang this party banner, but they wouldn’t heed the plea anyway.
My son and his girlfriend flew in from Colorado last night and I got to pick them up at 2:00 am, so I already need a nap before the party gets going. I might be a little on edge, so nobody better make me mad.
It’s been a historic year for TBP, with our visitor count up 30% over 2015 and many new regular contributors to the site. The plethora of original material separates TBP from many of the other alt-media sites. The MSM has been discredited and many people now come to places like TBP to seek the truth. My biggest disappointment was not making the list of fake news sites published by the Washington Post. It’s a badge of honor when the lowlife MSM tries to discredit you.
I’d like to thank all the regular contributors, regular commenters, lurkers, and donors for all you do to keep this site interesting and vibrant. I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. 2016 was a doozy. I think 2017 could be even crazier. I gave my wife one of her presents early. Just got back from crawling underneath the trailer to unplug the kitchen sink, which backed up this morning. Judging by the amount of water that doused me, (~ 25 gallons) it was a doozie!! Murphy always strikes my household on XMAS eve. ALWAYS. Last year it was the oven…….

bb, I saw a FEDEX truck on base. I slowed down to get a look at the driver. He seemed to be fixated on the road ahead and I thought of the space jockey in the movie Alien.
Truckdrivers are an unappreciated bunch, they deliver all the goods and some fantasy god called Santa gets all the credit.
The MSM would have us believe there is a Santa Clause but I beg to differ; how does he maintain his slave labor year round? Do the elves collect welfare during their layoff? What is his message, his political stance, what exactly does he mean by ‘good’?

Thanks El Coyote , trucking to me was a god send.I finally got out and away from office politics forever.I also got away from my crazy x wife and started seeing the country.Trucking is easy over all but it can be frustrating having to deal with traffic ,the terminals and the IRS but it does have its rewards.Have a Merry Christmas and be safe.BB
