In testimony provided before the California Senate’s Public Safety Committee, Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Leon (D-Los Angeles) decided to admit that “half of his family” is residing in the United States illegally and with the possession of falsified Social Security Cards and green cards. Lest you think we’re exaggerating, here is the exact quote:
“…I can tell you half of my family would be eligible for deportation under [President Donald Trump’s] executive order, because if they got a false Social Security card, if they got a false identification, if they got a false driver’s license prior to us passing AB60, if they got a false green card, and anyone who has family members, you know, who are undocumented knows that almost entirely everybody has secured some sort of false identification. That’s what you need to survive, to work. They are eligible for massive deportation.”

The quote came from a hearing being held on SB54, a California Senate bill that was introduced by De Leon that would make the entire state of California a “Sanctuary State” (we discussed SB54 here: “California Considering Legislation To Become First Ever Sanctuary State“). Fast forward to the 1:27:00 mark for the relevant comments from De Leon:
Of course, in a follow-up interview with Larry Mantle of KPCC, De Leon was pressed but minimized the problems associated with not only illegally crossing the border but also committing multiple other federal crimes related to identity theft…sure, what’s the big deal? Per Breitbart:
“Someone simply who received or purchased a [fraudulent] Social Security card down at McArthur Park, or elsewhere in my district would be eligible immediately for mass deportation,” De Léon said.
“He’s trying to deputize police officers — and with the suspicion of someone being a criminal or having a broken taillight, that they themselves, as a local police officer, could call the ICE agents immediately and have that person deported without even legal due process.”
Host Larry Mantle asked him: “… First of all, I just — I want to make sure I understand correctly: You don’t think purchasing a phony Social Security card and number should be a deportable offense?”
De Léon replied: “I don’t think so … the vast majority of immigrants — hard working immigrants — have done that. I can tell you I have family members specifically who came here as undocumented immigrants, and they did the same thing. That’s what you need to do to survive in this economy.”
Mantle objected: “But of course the problem is, — and I know people too — who’ve had their Social Security numbers and identities stolen as a result of that….”
Meanwhile, Trump blasted California’s “Sanctuary State” bill last night during an interview with O’Reilly saying that he doesn’t “want to defund anybody” but failure to enforce federal laws would require defunding to be used as a “weapon.”
“I think it’s ridiculous — sanctuary cities. As you know I’m very much opposed to sanctuary cities. They breed crime. There’s a lot of problems,” Trump said.
“If we have to we’ll defund. We give tremendous amounts of money to California. California in many ways is out of control. Obviously the voters agree. Otherwise they wouldn’t have voted for me,” the president added.
“So defunding is your weapon of choice —” O’Reilly followed up.
“Well, it’s a weapon. I don’t want to defund a state or a city,” Trump replied.
“But you’re willing to do it?” O’Reilly asked again.
“I don’t want to defund anybody. I want to give them the money they need to properly operate as a city or state. If they’re going to have sanctuary cities, we may have to do that. Certainly, that would be a weapon,” Trump said.

I saw an article recently about how the IRS is hiding how many social security numbers that belong to a citizen but are being used by an illegal. Its justification is that both are paying taxes. Although the IRS is a government agency (unlike the Federal Reserve) it nonetheless exists mostly to serve the interests of the Federal Reserve and its member banks, rather than of citizens. She was only sixteen at the time and we were filling out federal financial aid forms and we discovered that it had been in use for a couple of years.

A M16 fires about 1 round per second fully auto; it’s De Leon’s brain that misfires at about 30 times per second.
Ummmm no. An M16 has a cyclic rate in the range of 750-800rpm which means about 12-14 cartridges are fired per second when set to full auto. With the standard 30rd magazine you empty a magazine in under 3 seconds. The overall setup is not very useful tactically, which is why many of the issued M16s don’t have a full auto setting (some are semiauto only, some have a 3rd burst that is also useless).
Tactically useful machineguns have much greater ammo supply and heavier, stiffer everything to keep some semblance of accuracy, along with either a bipod or a tripod (or often both). Many also have a slower cyclic rate. Giving crooks full auto M16s would likely decrease the number of people killed by gunfire. In Vietnam it was estimated that TWO MILLION cartridges were fired for each enemy casualty. Think on that for a second.
None of this detracts from the fact that the Kalifornia legislator is a moron in all ways.
Where is a federal judge since it is now a public record that DeLeon has harbored aided and otherwise failed to turn in or at least supply information leading to arrest conviction and ultimately deportation of a known felon in our midst and should he refuse to cooperate then he is held in contempt . I believe I’ve told this story here before but so what I think it’s appropriate to mention it again.
In San Jose there is a large Mexican population that lives on the east and south east sections of the city. There is a supermarket chain of about a dozen stores that caters to the Mexican population in those areas. I would estimate that around 90% of their customers are Mexican. I shop in one of their stores often because it’s the closest supermarket to where I live. Like I said they cater to the Mexican population, all the announcements over to loud speaker system in their stores are in Spanish, I have never once heard a word of English spoken over their speaker system.
One time I had the opportunity to have a conversation with one of the store managers. After talking to him for a while I asked him point blank – “what percentage of your stores customers pay for their purchases with some form of government assistance, WIC, EBT and so on. He didn’t hesitate which meant to me he already knew the answer, his answer – “it’s over 50%”.
I know someone who is a teacher at one of the largest High Schools in San Jose that is in the middle of the Mexican area of East San Jose. She told me that in that school 85% of the students are Mexican. I asked her how involved were the parents of those kids in their education, I was wanting to know if they show up for parent/teacher conferences, that type of thing. Her answer was “well that’s kind of difficult because at least half of the parents can’t speak English”.
As far as I’m concerned anyone who is an adult and can’t speak English, and speaks only Spanish was not born in the US and is more than likely illegal.
