With a little luck, I’m 3/4 of the way through my life. I grew up surrounded by WW2 veterans, and they had few illusions about the realities of the world. For me the cold war and Vietnam are not something in a history book, they were something I lived through. Kent State? MLK assassination? Civil rights marches? Watts riots? Ditto. Millions sacrificed their lives, liberty and property for the society and culture of the West, and the fools of today are willing to throw it away. Like Mike Murray, my father was 82nd Airborne during WWII. These were serious men. Men who said what they meant, men who did what they said they were going to do. My old man died in 2015 at 94. We should also be somewhat thankful, appreciative that not all millennials are block heads. She may not be perfect or possess the necessary experience, but she’s on the right path.
Many teachers have a proclivity to not discuss current events but then they start talking about the flawed news and how no teacher should be criticized, whether they be wrong or right, and most don’t discuss the correlation between “giving to the people in poor” and the increase it causes in debt. They also do not appreciate it when students actually find correlations between text and real life that contradicts their dogma. It is interesting when they give a smug face of satisfaction when they make you analyze
The good “points” of an essay that advocates cowardice and laziness, while at the same time not discussing the strong ideals that built this nation, and are advocating for weaker and perverse men. My brother ended up writing an essay about planned parenthood and it’s benefits when he obviously knew from what my father taught him that it was immoral and degenerative of the mind, body, and culture. He did tell my father that he was taking on this assignment but I guess my father misheard him. People who are at the “neutral point” or who do not speak against or at least criticize school teaching in current ideals will find themselves fighting an unarmed war against
Muslim immigrants, having lower living standards, and having the rape of their children. There is no halfway point, there is either right or wrong.

As an aside and while not historically accurate, I enjoy the movie “Kingdom of Heaven”.
The warmongering Western Knights, Templars, led by the French, hyper-proux, Guy d’Lusignan, if memory serves, are fond of screeching – as if they would know – “God Wills It”, each time some mongoloid of their order is intent upon visiting Western, Martial Prowess upon the heathen Islamic Horde of Saladdin.

Perhaps. Perhaps we are responsible because we elect people like Maxine Waters, John McCain, Nancy Pelosi and all those other individuals with no moral compass or critical thought.
But then again, if there was no large, powerful government, foreigners we’ve killed would still be alive, the budget could be balanced for real, and we could be discussing worthwhile things instead of trivia.
And if the largest thing the government could do was decide where the highways, dams and bridges go, we would all be better off.
