two years ago July 5th we found a tiny starved tick covered
kitten in the front yard. Very near death. The vets saved her
and we kept her. Torti our 4.5# bundle of joy. Fast as lightening,
and her best friend is the Dobie. We do not regret keeping Tortoise.

Showed it to my wife this morning and she thought it was funny. We have an orange cat that gets us up every night though with a slightly different technique for getting attention. He has found that the dresser next to bed with thin plywood sides makes a very annoying noise when beaten like a drum in wee hours.

Had a stray cat show up at our barn ten years ago. Mrs nkit started feeding it and it’s still here. I was never much of a cat person, but this cat is a good pet. Still, I prefer dogs, so chalk one up for the dogs. If you watch this short video Purina will donate one pound of Puppy Chow to a no-kill dog shelter. Getting close to four million pounds already.

Puppies rock! The most recent puppy we got for Christmas 2014 was given a death sentence a year later with incurable liver disease. It’s been a lot of work but we’ve kept her going. Early on we brought her back from the brink of death twice. The vets are dumbfounded that she is still with us. She’ll be three in November and outwardly exhibits no symptoms of illness at all. Even the vets no longer see any outward symptoms. It takes blood tests to reveal her condition now. She’s a happy rambunctious two & half year old with endless energy.

A cat found and adopted us 2 years ago…..since then, and since she stays outside full time, we have not had a single vehicle repair due to ‘chewed wires’ so she is worth the small cost of food and having her ‘fixed’.

According to the maroons around here I have a slew of yorkies (not true). I hate drop kick dogs with a passion yet I admire good hunting dogs that are useful.

Cats are assholes which is why I have only had cats for the past 50 years. You know what they say about pets and their owners.

Bea, the funniest thing about the entire yorkie deal is you have a certain gruff that is about as far from dressing yorkies as you could get. That’s why it’s so funny. But I have to confess. The yorkie doppel was actually only the second best bea leaver doppel. The first one was much better, someone actually gave you props for it being the funniest thing they ever read on the burning platform, but you were on your mission from God, and missed the whole thing.

Star- In the end, you will admit I was right. Neither rain nor sleet nor slander of yorkies will stay my mission from God. 🙂
